Just left the salon! Phil did my fill with regular polish and Nu (spelling?) did my pedicure! My biggest thing with acrylic nails is the shape. And of all the nail salons I've been to (and I've been to quite a few to find my salon home) Phil definitely did the best shape! He cares a lot about his customers and wants them to leave happy. So he takes his time and makes sure you're pleased. He very kindly also offered me a beverage (water, hot green tea, Lipton iced tea, etc.). I showed him a picture I found on Pinterest and be replicated it, also suggesting I do the design on 2 of the nails instead of all of them like the photo (he said all of them might be too much). I've very very ticklish on my feet and I told Nu before she started my classic pedicure. She was gentle and didn't mock or judge me for twitching so much! I'm very pleased with the service I got. Phil Phil Phil.... He is amazing! I came to this place because I was referred by a friend. The owner Phil is so personable, he really remembers people, and does excellent nails. I came in here twice so far to get Gel nails and they have lasted me each time, about 3-4 weeks unchipped. That says a lot becuase I always wash my hands a lot, work on my house and still looks amazing. This is a new business and I encourage everyone to check them out. The place is very clean, open, no tacky decorations, and just nice employees. The ladies that do the pedicure sure know how to do a thorough job. But... their is a wait. On two occassions I waited for 2 hours total to get my gel nails and pedicure done. They need to hire more employees because 2 hours is way toooooo long to get my nails done. read more

Do not waste your money!! I had to tell the manicurist multiple times that my nails were shaped crookedly. She went to "fix" them but essentially made them more crooked. There was no massage. She put a hot towel on my arms and that was all she had the energy to complete. The final result looked as though a child did my nails. The shape is horrible. It looks messy. And one point she hit a couple of my nails and then was physically upset! She was very rude and obviously did not want to be doing her job. Also note she extremely over charged. I'm not one to give reviews, but I guess there's a first for everything. I went in today for the first time specifically for a pedi, the lady asked if I wanted a mani and I had acrylics in mind so I said yes full set with gel. As previous reviews were good. They only had ONE manicurist who did acrylics. So after she finished her client she got me started her 12 PM appointment walked in, she then told me I'll come back to you. What?! Why didn't you just say you couldn't?! Definitely bit off more than they could chew! So as I am getting my pedi, a different lady comes over the finish the acrylic portion. As she is doing them I notice how much product she is putting on my nails and how terrifyingly uneven they are. Once the original lady is done with her appointment she takes over my nails, she herself looked scared. I didn't realize how bad the job she had done was until she was filing my nails. I kept having to pull my hand as she was constantly hurting me from how close to my skin the acrylic had been placed. The nails for starters don't look alike, my nail beds are now sore, she didn't place a base coat prior to polishing This entire visit took me 2 hours on a Tuesday morning at 11 AM. They had a total of 4 paying guests in there.. by far the lingers I've ever been at a nail salon even with out an appointment. Horrible horrible horrible service I went there to get a full set fill with regular polish I left the store after 20 minutes they were already breaking and chipping and that was after they were dry. I go back in to have them fix it along with two nails that had broken in half while doing laundry and he charges me $10 because I asked him to do gel instead. I was in a rush and I had to go all the way back there after having them done less than an hour. That's just unacceptable and then when I called back to complain about it the owner hung up on me because he didn't agree with my complaint. Horrible please do not go Im not even sure who trained these people to do anything. Especially from a customer service standpoint, the owner called me back later to continue the same argument instead of fixing the problem and refunding me for my inconvenience. Truly a bad studio. Might I also add that they do not use clean/fresh tools. They use the same acrylic tools and files for the next people. Disgusting. Moral of the story is folks, they do a cheap job and you get what you pay for. Managers are very rude and hang up on you because they don't agree. Just truly not the level of customer service I was ever trained around. They care more about money on one transaction rather than securing a recurring paying customer. Stupid ownership. I would give them a "0" if it was on here. The price quoted over the phone was less than what they told me when I finished. The place seemed unsanitary and their tools, towels, etc. were not clean. The woman who did my nails was terrible. She was rough and kept squeezing my fingers too tight. She got lots of excess acrylic on my fingers and under my nails and it hurt to remove it. When I asked her to clean it off from under the nails she complained but did it. Her attitude with me was bad the entire time and I was in pain a lot! What should have taken maybe an hour took nearly two hours. I would NEVER recommend this salon to anyone. read more

This is my second time and I won't be back. I got a Groupon for two gel manicures. The first time I went for a gel mani and made an appointment since it was on a Saturday. Even with an appointment I waited about 30 minutes. When I finally got in a chair and I mentioned I had been waiting a while and I needed to get back soon to nurse my baby. I forget who was doing my nails but that person basically said most people who have babies would leave a bottle for the baby. Thanks for telling me how to be a mom and judging my parenting choices for exclusively breastfeeding my 2 month old infant. The manicure itself was ok. Nothing to write home about. Fast forward to several months later when I finally decided to redeem the second gel mani from the Groupon. I didn't make an appointment because I figured it was 3pm on a Tuesday so there shouldn't be a wait. I get there and there are 4 people working and I'm the next in line. I ask for a mani pedi and I'm told by Phil to have a seat and they will "be right with me". I sit and wait for about 15 minutes during which time 3 or 4 other people came in and got seated before me. I was told they all had appointments and they would be with me as soon as possible, just 20 more minutes. At this point I'm starting to get a bit annoyed as I have been waiting over half an hour and wish they would have told me. 20 minutes go by and they're still working on other people so I ask again how much longer it will be and am told another 10 minutes. Finally after 50 minutes of waiting they get started on me. The water was lukewarm for the pedi and the lady who did my pedi wrapped all my toes with acetone even though they didn't have gel on them. I had to tell her look I don't even have nail polish on my toes, only the big toe... I waited almost an hour and I wish they had just been honest and said I'll need to wait a long time. No consideration for my time. Phil and the staff seemed nice enough and were very chatty with their regular customers so I'm giving them one star because the mani pedi turned out ok and they seemed to treat their regulars really well. I just didn't get the same level of treatment or courtesy or honesty about wait times that they give to their regulars and I won't be going back. read more

Was honestly a 2-star experience but I'm just here to voice my opinion. I've never had such a bad experience getting my nails done. If a nail tech had done something wrong, or merely just did bad work, it's a given that they apologize or try to fix it. Instead, they just gave excuses after excuses making it seem like their bad work was my fault. I chose a nail color that I regularly get (which I never had a problem with anywhere else) and it came out pink rather than white. They gave me an excuse that it just appeared to look white because the gel manicure examples are painted on white plastic. While I was unhappy with the color, the lady slathered some oil on my hands and called it a day without saying a word. I had to awkwardly walk to a sink to wash the oil off, very odd experience. I'm mostly used to the nail tech finishing the service off with lotion and/or a hot towel.... Afterward, I noticed my nails were extremely botchy, uneven, and plainly ugly (my chipped gel nails before I got here looked 2x better). I normally never address any complaints, but this was THAT BAD. I asked the worker if they can fix it to make it look the least a bit appealing and they fed me more excuses while buffing it: "You told her to keep it long" "it's because your nail is shaped like that".. I've gotten my nails done every month for 5 years and I've NEVER had a problem like this. I've even mentioned to the lady that I'd like to cut it a little shorter. And to make the matter worse, the session took OVER TWO HOURS. Wasting my time, my day, with my nails looking horrible. I came across this place because my yelp app was down and used a different app to find a nail salon near me because I was around a new area due to a business meeting. Never again. read more

My husband and I went in for our first mani-pedi since the pandemic. I guess this business is no longer owned by Phil and the quality of work was apparent. My husband and I were both disappointed by our pedicures. I had polish. Usually I am allowed to wait for the nails to dry before the stylist helps put on my sandals. Not today. I purchased a groupon for 2 Gel Manicures at Studio Nails- I was pretty stoked on the deal since most nail salons in the area can be pricey for lack luster service, and since Studio Nails had such good reviews the buy was a no brainer! I called today 8/21 to make an appointment, once arriving to my appointment, They were pretty busy- I was glad I called to make an appointment. I was told it would be a few minutes. That was fine with me, I needed to pick my gel color anyway, which they do have a TON to choose from.They brought me back right away- my groupon was just for a gel manicure, but I decided to do a pedicure as well. The salon itself seems clean, and the spa chairs were in good shape. After a full massage cycle, and noticing my pruning feet, i checked the time. I had been waiting a while- with no one checking in... After a total of 45 minutes of waiting past my appointment time they still had not started my service. I began to gather my things to leave, and someone came over and told me they would start in just a minute. I told them it was "OK" but since I made my appointment for 45 min earlier, I really couldn't afford to wait any longer. The nail technician became very pushy (literally) and nudged me to my chair to stay. I politely said thank you anyway, and left the salon. This location was convenient for me and they pulled me in through the door with a Groupon deal which got me a gel manicure for $12 (I used the extra 20% off coupon code). During this session, I also got a regular pedicure done. When we walked in, everybody was so welcoming. They have some TV's playing a nature channel, a small zen fountain in the front, and a wall of nail polish lit up with some blue LED lights. There's a lot of nail colors to choose from (probably about 200). As of this writing of this review, there has been noticeably more and more things wrong with my nails. I redeemed my Groupon on July 14th, and 5 days later, on the 19th, many of my fingers are chipped on the ends. My left thumb, my right index finger, my right thumb are all missing corners. The worst part is after I left, I noticed that the glue that is used here was over the nail edge on my right index finger and stuck my skin to the nail. It was a sharp edge and it hurt peeling it off. I probably would have been better off just doing a regular manicure at this price since my toes are holding up better. I had such high hopes for this place considering the 5-star review, but I left SO sad and disappointed. I asked for ombre effect french tips and showed them a picture. They assured they could do it. Originally Linda started working on my nails and gave me a classic French manicure. I was a bit confused by her method, but I didn't question it, assuming she had a plan. Phil then came over and started laughing and told her she did it all wrong. My nails had to be erased and he had to do them ALL over again from the beginning. Anyone who gets regular gel manicures knows it takes at least 30+ min to do a French manicure... so it was such a waste of time. Phil did the French ombre effect the correct way, using a foam pad to create the effect.. but the end product didn't look like the picture. The white extended to pretty much my entire nail instead of bare at the bottom gradually making its way to opaque and the very top. I didn't even have an entire classic pedicure, just a file and polish change. I was still charged $47 for the entire thing even though Linda wasted almost 40 minutes of my time and Phil didn't even deliver a quality French ombre. Bottomline, I do not recommend this place and am extremely sad to have wasted almost $50 on one of the most mediocre gel manicures I've ever had. read more

Let me start off by saying I stopped in to have a few acrylic nails fixed that I had from another shop, which were lifting after only three days. I work very close to the salon and the owner himself sat me down right then and there to fix them. During the get to know you chit chat he recommended the build-able gel for me since my hands are constantly in and out of water. What do ya know..... No lifting, no breaking, and I can go sometimes over three weeks before I need a fill because the gel can be filled down close to the cuticle you don't see the big gap when it grows out as bad if at all. Needless to say, I have been going to Phillip and Sydney now religiously and can't even fathom going to a different salon. The services and pricing are not exorbitant, in fact I was quite surprised to find out that with a full set of gel nails, a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage (giving during by Lee the first time now it's Helen of the magic fingers) which is a dollar a minute, and an eyebrow waxing then tips was still under 100.00. Do I recommend Studio Nails... Yes Yes Yes. Clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable. You can't go wrong here! read more

I've lived in this area for 5 years. I have been searching and trying every salon around to find "my nail place". Lots and lots of chipped gel manicures after only one week later.... I stumbled into Studio Nails. I was speaking to the woman doing my nails about how I am a Hairstylist and they will chip if done wrong. She did a pretty good job but the owner Phil overheard me and as I was leaving mentioned something called Building Gel and that it's exactly what I need as someone who works with my hands and have them in water all the time. So 2 weeks later I came back and let him do it. 5...yes 5...weeks later was when I needed to come back and have them done again. I couldn't believe it. They made it 5 weeks!! And to be honest I could have gone longer but my nails grow fast and I had somewhere to go ;) I tell everyone I know how amazing Phil and building gel is. I've only had my nails done twice since xmas when I had my original set done. 3rd time was just a couple days ago. EVERYONE tells me how gorgeous my nails are all the time! The guy that did my nails was super friendly and nice too.
