I had made an appt with this salon two weeks ago and today was finally the day of my appointment. I took off of work early to have a balayage look done. The first thing I noticed when I entered the salon was that no one was wearing a face mask and following CDC guidelines. I sat in the waiting area with my mask on for 45 mins and was finally told to sit in the chair to have my hair done. I had purchased a Groupon and told the owner I just wanted the hair coloring done. The owner told me I had to pay an additional $160 on top of the $115 to have my hair done. I just sat there disappointed. Didn't get upset- just got up and left. He didn't care. I truly believe that this business owner was not honest with his pricing when he advertised it on Groupon. He was not fair at all. So if you bought a Groupon- you will pay more. I did report the salon to Groupon for false advertising and they agreed 100% that the up charge was unfair. I'm sure he does great work, but this was a bummer. (Side note- I was told the up charge was because I have orange hair... don't remember ever dying it orange.) read more

I'm disappointed. The energy was great and customer service was nice. I knew that making an appointment via Groupon, I would have to pay more than what is claimed on my coupon- & I did so willingly! I purchased a coupon for a balayage & then I was told that it wasn't a balayage (by the picture I showed him) I wanted dark roots and bleach blonde ends. Somehow I ended up with bleach blonde roots. I was running late and it took almost 4 hours, so I called the next day and said that I was unhappy. He told me to come in the next day, I was so very pleased with that! Overall, it is still not like the pictures I showed. My roots were made darker, but it ended up being the same color roots that I came in with. I wanted dark brown roots, and bleach blonde ends. This was by far the worst hair experience I've ever had. I got my hair done there last year and it's still getting tangled and trying to recover from what was done at M studio. I went in the first time to get balayage and the guy gave me highlights and didn't do balayage. I waited two weeks only to go back and asking him to fix it and do balayage and I already paid him the price for balayage not highlights. Instead of fixing it, he dyed my hair a nasty orange blonde. He died my hair completely this color from black. Since then, I've had to go get my hair cut multiple times and have been using a million products to try to fix the damage that was done by this studio. This place was recommended by a friend touting the stylist as an expert in wavy or curly hair, and I was intrigued as I had just had a not so great cut by another stylist inexperienced at cutting curly hair. Well, I should have stuck with the original cut, because I emerged from Studio M with a worse cut than I came in with. He claimed to cut using the Devacurl method, but according to Deva videos I've seen since, this was nowhere near being a Deva cut. He twisted little locks and then trimmed whatever stuck out, which ended up making my hair ragged and frizzy. In addition, he kept loading up my hair with various products *while* he was cutting it, claiming he needed this to see the style (??), despite my questioning this and trying to tell him multiple times that I don't use products in my hair and want it to be cut in the state it will always be in. So I guess he didn't like being questioned on his technique, because he abruptly stopped cutting and told his assistant to wash out my hair. She made eye contact with another employee and they were laughing, so I really hope it was for an unrelated joke and I'm not being paranoid. Anyway, I'm back to growing it out so I can find a better stylist and actually get a legit Deva cut. Waste of money, waste of time, very annoyed. read more

Olsi is extremely talented and friendly. He cuts and styles all of my friends' hair, both guys and girls and everyone always goes back to him. The prices are fair and the results are always excellent. You can tell him what look you're looking for and he'll exceed your expectations. On Monday's and Tuesday's he has a special for keratin. Parking is free and in the same small plaza there are great places to eat or grab coffee and a snack in case you are getting a service that takes long. Highly highly highly recommend Olsi. What an amazing experience. Olsi is a true artist. I walked in with a disaster on my head and left with the most incredible cut and color. Everyone at the salon was extremely friendly and welcoming. It's obvious that they are a happy staff and love their jobs, which means that this studio is very well managed. I also had a wonderful mani/pedi with Dina, who was great and a delight to talk to. No doubt this was one of the best mani/pedis I've had. All the instruments came straight out of the autoclave, one of the most important aspects of this service imo. I found this place in groupon, I bought a balayage deal which originally was $210 but with the discount they offer in groupon it was $85. So I thought to my self is very cheap but probably I will have to pay for the toner maybe $40 the most plus the tip. So here is where the catch is, I got there and Osli the owner of the place charge me $125 he said it was to remove the color of my hair that I had from previous dying dark at home, and plus the color he was going to add, so basically there was no discount because at the end I end up paying $210 plus tips of course, to be honest the balayage came out good but the hair cut OMG terrible, my layers are extremely uneven, Why i didnt say anything about the uneven hair? Well because he curled my hair and i couldnt see that it was not even until i washed my hair, and why I didnt say anything about the $125 well i did but he said that i should have read the groupon where it says that deal includes the haircut and balayage, what?????? But whatever I didnt have enought time to decide i was already sitting in the chair, and also didnt know if groupon will refund my money if i decide it to cancel,, so I just went ahead and got it done. I will upload some pictures of the deal i bought with out the extra 25% they had going on that day, so you guys can read, no where it says that they will charge extra for adding or removing hair color. Next time I buy any groupon deals I will call the business to make sure what the extra fees are. I learned the lesson I hope this review helps any of you. read more

He took note and explained to me what he was going to do to get to the color I wanted. I found studio M because of a Groupon. I wanted a balayage and a hair cut. I love the balayage but unfortunately the hair cut was not what I was expecting. My layers were extremely uneven and the front was longer then a piece was shorter and then the rest of my hair. Honestly the worst haircut I've ever had, I honestly looked like coconut head. It was almost as if I had a mullet, which was not what I had asked for. I would recommend for color but I would not recommend cutting your hair there. When the guy said relax its gonna be an experience I never would've thought what it would be When I was asked to get my hair washed I declined explaining that I just washed it at home with my own shampoo so all the have to do is wet it. He took me to a the cutting chair. But then a girl sneaking behind me put some shampoo all over my hair saying that she has to do it... okay I am thinking what's the worst thing could happen I need my hair done. So I humbled my self and went with her to washing chair. Then she started to put some stuff on my hands saying that she has to give me a hand massage) I am like why?! She said she was training and she has to do it looking very scared... I was like okay.. after she done doing this awkward quick make it look like thing, she wiped my hands with warm towel. I smelled my hands that were greasy and it was the most disgusting rancid coconut oil something mix smelling. I run to sink and washed it with some dish soap that was there. That was the beginning of the "experience" then the ignoramus that was apparently joggling few other customers at the time gave me completely different hair cut that I asked for. Attempting to shave with this dangerous single blade putting another nasty product all over my head and neck. Cutting my skin by Adam's apple bone, while talking to another girl that looked nervous. Put alcohol on my bleeding cut! Shaved one side of my go tie of my goatee with a buzzer scratching my scalp with sharp hair comb and a buzzer and after satisfying his ass tells me I need to go wash my hair again so he can style me! I was in shock my face and scalped inflamed with irritation from shaving product and his careless skin damage. And one side of my goatee is gone At that point I decided to start asking questions. Like first are you done?! He said yes!!. I asked if he intends to blend my goatee for starters and my haircut with some crazy holes and bumps. That's the part where he with surprising face said where?!!! I was outraged. Then needed to show him that he needs to blend my goatee and some bumps on the side of my head. He couldn't possibly fix holes he created nor comprehend the stress and frustration he caused me and my body. So after all was more or less as even as this a...hole could get it. I went here to go get my nails done on Monday, after purchasing my groupon on Friday after being told to wait all weekend to wait for the space available. Then finally on Monday the day of my appointment they made me wait one hour to get help they refused my groupon and said the sale was expired and they blamed groupon for not taking it off of their site and at that point i had no choice but to pay out of pocket again for their service. And to top it all off the nail tech gave me the worst set of nails i have ever gotten to the point i had to walk away with my nails not done.
