So she gets credit for losing weight but I get credit for the wording. And I get to say anything I want! Okay, since my friend is a total spaz and cannot write to save her life (per her own admission and the only reason why she would not write a Yelp review like I told her she should) I am going to Yelp on her behalf. Fasten your seat belt because this is the first time I have done this and perhaps the first time anyone has attempted this on Yelp. So, here goes... This isn't creepy, right?... In all seriousness, I needed to write this review because I have had experience with weight loss people and programs before over my life and career and have been less than impressed with some of the attitudes, lack of enthusiasm and outright crap that is out there in this category. I became aware of Nanette DeGroat, the owner through doing business with her and getting her to help out with some public education on health, wellness and weight loss. Immediately upon meeting her I found her very driven, on-purpose and very dedicated to actually HELPING people as opposed to running them through a mill. She had an amazing experience, a "breakthrough", all on her own and quit her job teaching just so she could help others achieve the same. THAT is how important this was to her. Where does my friend come in? Well, I have known her for many years and she has been up and down and all around every weight loss method, philosophy, program, system there may possibly exist as well as done some pretty wild cleanses, surgery....well, you get the point. She was a veritable wikipedia of weight loss approaches. Nevertheless, nothing would handle her weight difficulty and her frustration was starting to expand out from her personal space into mine and everyone else's, to all of our dismay. Knowing what I knew of Nanette's Breakthrough M2 program, having been to her seminar and watching her in action, I just knew this would be the right program to which to refer my friend. I use the term "refer" lightly because it was actually "twist my friend's arm, kidnap her, throw her into the car bound and gagged and dragged her kicking and screaming to one of Nan's semi-weekly hour-long seminars, practically duct taping her to the chair. Of course I exaggerate on my method - there were no gags involved. What happened next was amazing. She really resonated with the program and started. And she kept me posted for weeks on the program. What I saw blew me away. I saw consistent, sane, not-starving-herself results. She reported to me regularly that she felt she was on something structured, not weird and that she was no longer totally focused on her weight or on food in general. She told me how structured her eating became and how much of her attention was freed up to do better in other areas. And it wasn't just lip service this time, the pounds really did come off and her attitude and emotion changed markedly. The change in my friend, the one who had been such a collection of problems in this area for years, was miraculous to say nothing of seemingly impossible. She had lost the weight and even detoxed many of the things which were preventing her from losing it in the first place, things this program was designed to address. She even was relieved of withdrawal symptoms and reported feeling calmer, more relaxed and no longer stressed in life due to a mineral supplement recommended with the program. So it gives me great pride to give this program the maximum amount of stars Yelp will allow. On my friend's behalf and mine, we are both better people as a result. She gets the life and body she always wanted, and I get to be free of her constant complaining and whining about her weight. I believe you saved a friendship in the aggregate, so thank you. When I arrived, they took all my information and let me sit in the waiting room for over an hour before telling me that my PCP was not updated in their system.
