I go to day spas with the knowledge that the service is much more involved than that of a lash bar, nail salon or massage parlor. With that knowledge, the prices and minimum standards I have are much higher. The not-so-good: When you first enter the building, it's nice but in my opinion a little too chaotic. It's been my experience that the reception area usually flows very well. My first visit, I walked in and there were several people waiting in line to pay. I browsed around the entrance and they have several things for sale, lotions, hair stuff and whatnot. It was a little odd to me that there were two or three stands displaying products that were kind of in the middle of nowhere. It seemed like things were located upstairs. I wasn't greeted (again, the front desk person was helping other people) but I just decided to go upstairs where there is another area to check-in for spa services. The good: 1. When I went in to the upstairs spa check-in area, the environment completely changed into something more relaxing. 2. The lounge is equipped with snacks and drinks with a TV on mute. 3. The shower area is also pretty nice. The system is pretty typical, get changed, climb into a robe, leave your belongings in the locker. Two changing rooms are available 4. There is a steam room which was great and also two over-sized showers with MorocconOil products (side note, I love that styling cream, I'm probably going to be a Kerastase convert) 5. For after care there is spray deodorant, a blow dryer, some hair products, hair elastics. The only think missing was brushes/combs (many places have two containers, one for clean and one for used brushes/combs) Miscellaneous tips: Beyond that the location is good, it's very easy to find. I must have picked a perfect time to go because I had absolutely no difficulties finding parking. The parking lot was actually pretty empty. It's probably a good idea to get there early so you can use the steam room and take your time getting ready. I would say at absolute minimum, you should probably arrive 15 minutes early. After my body-treatment, I took my time getting ready so I ended up being there for about 2 hours, half the time I was in the lounge and it was relaxing. The overall experience was good and I would most definitely return in the future to try out more of their services.

She starts out using tuning forks and singing bowls, which, although I first thought were a bit crazy, relax my back more quickly than anything I've tried besides actual acupuncture. Feels great and sounds very peaceful, with a happy "bong bong" of ringing bell sounds around you. My back is immediately a ton easier to work on, and then she moves on to give an incredibly thorough massage using hot stones. Roxanne is incredibly intuitive and knows her anatomy very well - she quickly honed in on issues that chiropractors and physical therapists have warned me about in the past. After a quick and easy check in, filling out the standard form, I was toured around the small, but well appointed spa. My locker was open with sandals and robe awaiting. After a quick wash down in the clean, large, tile shower, I managed 12 minutes in the steam room, a great way to relax before my rub down. Another quick wash I retired to the lounge with cucumber water, organic Tazo teas and Pellagreno. The gas log fire was blazing making it very warm but still comfortable as I hydrated over the latest issue of some Mega Yhat magazine. When in Rome. Sydney arrived right on time to lead me down the hall to our room. Dimly lit, smelling fresh and with heated sheets, I relaxed and awaited my 60 minute, deep tissue. Great work! Sydney is fantastic. When she asked if the pressure was ok, I let her know she could go harder. Politely she said that was almost as much as she could go but I could tell she was really trying. Very kind of her. What a great massage. After our well spent hour together, at least for me, more hydration in now a very full lounge until by final scrub down under the rain water bower head.
