She worked very closely with us in selecting a flattering color palette and introducing textures that would suit the baby. Her style is very gentle and easygoing; she spends the time to really get to know a family and pays attention to all the details that go into a shoot. When the photos came out, we were truly blown away--they were all so tender and stunning, showcasing not just the miracle of birth, but all the familial love and tenderness. I cannot stop looking at them! We were so delighted that we opted for an album keepsake. I was impressed with how much care and time Heather took making every page perfect, and how she collaborated so well with us. My son is an amateur artist, and she welcomed and integrated all his inputs and built on top of them to create something we will treasure for many years. I wholeheartedly recommend Heather to any family--she is a true artist, and we will definitely be returning to capture more precious moments!

From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. Heather was incredibly patient, gentle, and so skilled at handling our baby--which made a huge difference for us as new parents. Her studio was warm, calm, and perfectly set up for newborns, with thoughtful props and beautiful backdrops. She has a true eye for detail and captured the sweetest little expressions and moments that we'll treasure forever. What impressed me most was how professional yet personable she was--taking the time to work around our baby's needs while still creating stunning, high-quality photos. The final images are absolutely breathtaking, and I know we'll cherish them for a lifetime. If you're looking for someone talented, caring, and professional to capture your newborn's earliest days, I highly recommend Heather!

Let me begin this review by stating that Maryam is amazing. She was recommended to me by my event…read moreplanner to shoot my son's first birthday party. Yes, I was that extra at a one year old's birthday; however, it only happens once, right?! Back to my review--she blended seamlessly with guests and made everyone so comfortable. I love her clean, modern photographic aesthetic and particular way of framing photos. I don't know how she does it, but she seems to capture the authentic personalities of her subjects. To say that she is talented, is an understatement. She's great with older kids too--it might come from her being a mom! Fast forward three years, and I happened to enter a contest on her blog for a free beach session. I never win anything, but we WON! I was thrilled to follow up with my big boy three years after his bday party. My son and I had so much fun with her at the beach. She even brought snacks for him--I can't make this stuff up! The photos speak for themselves. Hire Hi + Hello for your next portraits or event.

Another year, another set of pictures with Maryam…read more This year, I started a small business and knew I wanted to use Maryam for my headshots and family photos to use on my website. She was so helpful even before the photo shoots with figuring out great locations that would fit my theme, coordinating outfit colors and choices for myself and the family, and being attentive to details like when sunset would be so that we could capture the best natural light. Maryam studied photography in college and it is obvious that she has great technical and creative skills that have been perfected. She is adaptable between getting the close up portrait shots and the action shots with kids who are non-stop. She makes sure to get a variety of different types of shots so your session has diversity of expressions, moods, and personality. Now, we have a preschooler daughter and a toddler son, which means both kids want to move around. Maryam was great at getting the shots, giving them breaks when they needed a few moments, and capturing real life. I once read a piece about a mom who was diagnosed with cancer and really regretted that she didn't get pictures taken of the family often. Who knows if that story was true, but it resonated with me. Although it is an investment to get professional photos regularly taken, having the right photographer to capture these moments is so so worth it. I feel blessed to have found Maryam because she has become a friend and truly is someone who cares about her craft and about people. Her quality of service is top notch and in a world where everything moves fast and we need to treasure the present, quality is so important.

Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I couldn't be happier with the experience and results. Patrick is personable, professional, and made us feel at ease both during our introductory video call and on our big day. He arrived at the venue an hour early to scout the best settings and graciously stayed half an hour longer than booked to capture every shot we wanted. He even returned edited photos in less than two weeks, and we absolutely love them. My husband and I are quite critical of photos of ourselves, but Patrick nailed it. We now have many beautiful shots of ourselves and our loved ones to cherish forever. Thank you, Patrick!

There are a couple of factors that make for an effective photographer/bride + groom successful…read morerelationship. 1. an eye for details, 2. preparation, and 3. integrity. We were highly impressed by Patrick's ability to do all of the above. 1. his eye for detail captured parts of the ceremony and reception that made us both giggle and feel a sense of nostalgia, though the wedding was less than 3 weeks ago. 2. preparation meant that Patrick did the majority of the work before the wedding day. He was well-prepared, and organized, and worked seamlessly with both the venue and the wedding coordinators. They couldn't stop singing his praise. 3. we interviewed a number of photographers and even hired someone before they dropped out last minute. We are private people and place an emphasis on experiencing the moment in real-time... throughout the process, Patrick made us feel both seen and heard in our overall hesitations/anxiety that we may have had around professional photographs, but we also felt seen and heard in the overall photographs that Patrick (principal photographer) and Patricia (2nd shooter) took. While there were many opinions that could've swayed the direction the photographers took -- including our own frantic sense of what should happen the day of, the photographers kept their cool and executed exactly what we wanted in the planning stage -- which was to keep the photos low-key and more documentation of the day. Additionally, they stayed to the timeline and still ensured that they got their shot. I should also mention that I had at least 5 people communicate how much they appreciated both Patrick and Patricia. They must've really worked their magic because our family and community aren't that easily impressed. Coming from New York, we already had an awareness of Patrick's photography and were thrilled that he was both available AND has been doing wedding photography in NorCal. Cannot give enough props, highly recommended!
