What stood out most to me was how comfortable and supported I felt during every session. Paola has this incredible way of pushing you just enough to challenge yourself, without ever making you feel overwhelmed or out of place. Each workout was different and thoughtfully planned, keeping things both fun and engaging. No two sessions were the same -- one day we'd focus on strength and toning, and the next, core stability or endurance. Beyond her expertise, Paola's warm personality really sets the tone. She's encouraging, professional, and always explains proper form so you know exactly what you're doing (and why). I've learned so much about fitness and confidence in my own body through her guidance. The gym itself is clean, welcoming, and designed with women's comfort in mind -- it feels like a safe, positive environment to focus on your goals.

The gym was super welcoming from day 1 and clearly is a community. I always felt comfortable (and still do) being at this gym. It is always clean as well! :) there are bathrooms with a shower if you need them. Something I love about F45 is that the coaches are knowledgeable and really challenge me to improve, even when I need to modify exercises. I have never been much of a self-motivator when it comes to fitness, so this is a big plus for me. There are cardio days, strength days, and combo days - you can pick and choose which days work for you. I have really seen a difference in my fitness and my confidence since joining F45. Since my first, I have completed two 10 week challenges that have transformed by body in ways I didn't think were possible. This morning, I signed up for my third challenge. The coaches there are so motivational and knowledgeable. There are two coaches to every class so you always have eyes on you making sure that your form is correct. Which is something that is very important to me. Every workout is different, so being bored is not something I have experienced at all. There is a great mix of cardio and resistance so I am targeting my entire body. I start every day with a morning class, and when I don't go I truly miss it. The classes FLY by and I am buring between 500 & 850 calories per class. If you are looking for a studio that feels like a family, is an intense workout and something you will find yourself addicted to you should seriously take advantage of the one week free trial. You will walk out the door after your first class and wonder why you didn't try it sooner.

Despite my limitations, I still found this workout to be doable and accessible as a non fit person. Flex FiiT offers circuit style workouts that consist of different focus areas with a mix of weight training and cardio movements. The space is clean and big enough to fit at least 15 worker outers comfortably. We started out with a short warm up that consisted of jumping jacks, arm stretches with a resistance band, runner lunges and butterfly sit ups. Next, we moved into four movements that consisted of curls on each arm, resistance band pulls and one other movement that I've mentally blocked out of my mind and can't remember doing now. After four rounds of that we broke off into four stations including TRX training, using a ski machine, weighted squats and more curls. The finisher was a mix of jump squats, mountain climbers and froggers. The instructor went around checking everyone's form diligently which I really appreciated as someone who's coming back to working out after a while. She was motivating without screaming at you and being mean about it, another thing that was much appreciated at this stage in my fitness journey. I booked this through ClassPass and would probably join if this were closer to me in Astoria. If this studio is close to where you live I'd definitely recommend dropping in for a class.

The music is a mix of oldies to more recent ones so it caters to most age groups. Whether you're looking for a workout with socialization or you just want a focused independent workout, this place is it. It's 45 minutes of HIIT training, every class has been different and fun so far, without dieting, I've maintained my weight but gained strength, stamina, and my body toned up dramatically in just 2 months. If you don't like a lot of the jumping around or crazy movements (plyometrics) don't come on a Saturday unless you wanna leave 3 lbs lighter and it's not from the work out itself... lol... strengths classes I think are Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday but you can prob check that online.. the two dudes running the class were awesome and def motivating .. first, they demonstrate how you're gonna go though 27 stations and then repeat... water break 30 seconds... it's a tough work out.. I thought I was mostly dying.. used to straight up cardio and weights.. just know yourself and what you can and can't do, obviously knowing your limitations health wise! There are no mirrors in this gym specifically so you can focus your mind on your body and the exercises you're performing .. best you can do is try your best and try to make it to the end! And hopefully not be as weak as me, lmao. I think I def would make sure you're hydrated and eat something of sustenance at least an hour before you go, you will totally need your energy.
