I ordered a split king bed online and paid for their "white glove" delivery with set up. I selected…read moremy delivery date and time and received a confirmation in my email that my order had been processed and my delivery was scheduled. The morning of my delivery window came and went, so I called their customer service line to find out what was going on. The customer service rep told me that I owed an additional $42 and that my order was "on hold" until payment was processed. When I asked how this could have happened, because I ordered it online and they were the ones who calculated the total, so the issue was with their system, I was told "yeah, online ordering can be glitchy" I then asked the customer service rep why no one notified me that my order was on hold, especially since they had charged my credit card and sent me an email confirmation that was order was set and I was told that no one monitors that system so there would be no way to notify me unless I called in. What a stupid process and dumb answer to receive. I then had to call back and speak with someone from sales to pay the additional amount and they were able to schedule my pickup for the following Tuesday (they don't deliver on Sunday or Monday for some reason) I then went to read the online reviews and became so concerned because so many people have had problems with this company and everyone had a story of a delivery gone wrong or some other issue. Luckily, I received the bed, with all the parts, and the delivery folks set it up quickly and got on their way. I don't imagine that I'll ever shop here again, the whole experience was frustrating and it's evident that they don't care about their customers.

I was looking for a sturdy, queen-sized bed frame with drawer storage at a mid-range price,…read moredelivered and assembled for me -- and found just what I needed at Knock on Wood Furniture! For the past year I was sleeping on an IKEA Tarva bedframe that would quite literally collapse beneath me some nights, so I was ready to pay a higher price for a higher quality product. After reading Yelp reviews for Knock on Wood, I looked on their website to peruse their selection of bed frames, and was a little nervous that they did not publish their prices online. I requested a quote online and within one business day got a quite for a couple of alder bedframes, both above my price range ($1,000+ with delivery and assembly). However, I found it really helpful to go to the show room and see their selection in-person. I explained my price dilemma over the to the man at the register and he was able to point me in the direction of a pine bed frame with a much more affordable price tag, plus a bonus of the storage drawers underneath. He explained that a queen-sized frame would come in two pieces and that they could deliver and assemble it (I live on the second story of a house). I picked a finish I liked and paid about half of the total price for a down payment, as he advised me that it would take 4-6 weeks for the bed frame to get delivered to them and for them to finish it. After four weeks went by, I called to follow-up and he let me know it was ready for delivery that Saturday! They actually ran a little ahead of schedule and brought it that Friday evening. Assembly was super easy and they instructed me how to disassemble the two-piece bed frame when I move ("only remove the black screws"). I've been using the bed frame for about a month now and I am so happy to say that I have no fears that it will collapse on me in the night like my IKEA bed frame did! :) And the storage is fantastic! I will definitely go back to Knock on Wood if I need a dining set, TV stand, etc. in the future.

Shame on you Knock on Wood Furniture, you shouldn't even be in business!! My reference DID NOT mean I was not going to shop at your business. I was just explaining what I was looking to purchase. Believe me, I will NEVER refer your business to anyone, nor will I shop your products! You truly need some "anger management skills"!!

We were at the Seekonk, MA store at around 7:00 pm on February 28. We had a pleasant shopping…read moreexperience but didn't find anything that we wanted to buy. Before we were going to leave, we looked for the restroom. When we found it, the entire hallway leading to it was dark and had been blocked off with room dividers and a sign saying out of order. We made a joke about it because it had the look of a closed off area, not just temporarily out of order. We were exiting the store, walking past the checkout area when an associate, a middle aged woman who had the look of being some kind of shift supervisor, basically wanted to start a confrontation with us. As we were walking past, well within proximity for us to hear her, she made a comment to a young associate that seemed to be about us joking about the restroom out of order sign. We turned to clarify what she had said and she repeated that we made some joke about the restrooms being closed. We did not engage with her and left. I went back to the vestibule area to look in to see her name tag, but I couldn't see one. Then we left. I had planned to write to Ollie's corporate but found on their website a rigid format to leave positive remarks but no interest expressed in hearing other feedback. As I tried to find a way to communicate with them, I learned that they have some very unpleasant actions against them, touching on discrimination and other unpleasantness. At that point it seemed that this kind of employee may be just the expression of their management, and I decided not to try to correspond with them. Then I came to Yelp and saw the recent review and comment about the restrooms having been closed since June of 2025. I suspected when this happened that she was particularly sensitive about the restrooms being closed. It appears that Ollie's has developed a very negative culture. I would avoid them in the future.

They have a bunch of crap with with a few better quality items mixed in. I removed a star for having large restroom signs only to see they have closed them indefinitely to the public.

This was without a doubt the WORST furniture buying experience I have ever had. I had a couch on…read morelayaway and called a week before to confirm my pickup date. I was told as long as I came after 1pm, I would be all set. I arrived at 1:30pm after paying $70 for a UHaul only to be told that they were out of stock. This was bad enough, but there was absolutely NO EFFORT to solve the problem from the girl at the desk. Not one "I'm sorry" or "Lets see if we can fix this". In fact, all my friends and I heard was how this was our fault (even though I had called earlier in the week) because we for some reason should have come into the store instead of calling (because the stock would have been different somehow?). The only other response from this girl who remained indignant and condescending the whole time was that she didn't even want to be there that day. She should have gone home, because she was completely useless and has zero customer service skills. It was not until my friend stated I should ask for my money back that she suddenly "remembered" that she had different colors of the same couch in the back. Because I did not want to be out the additional price I had paid to get a moving truck, I had to select something other than what I wanted. Layaway means you're reserving an item until it's paid off. She told us she sold my couch back in March--and never replaced it. It's ridiculous. While I can certainly understand that mistakes are made, her complete lack of interest in retaining the sale or keeping the customer happy is the reason I'm taking the time to write this. Once we pulled up to the loading dock, we were asked to help load our truck because there was only one young man on to move furniture. Seriously? Isn't that a huge liability should one of us have gotten injured? All in all, it was a terrible experience. I will never purchase from them again and urge others to avoid them as well. If I could give them zero stars, I would.
