Northeast Furniture Direct might have good deals. They might actually have great furniture and…read moreamazing prices. They may even save people a good amount of money when furnishing their new apartment. Unfortunately, I will never know the answers to these questions. After making a specific appointment with one of their customers service representatives by calling the number listed on their website, I then rented a Zipcar and drove the 30 minutes to Stoughton. On the way, there was quite a bit of unexpected traffic, so I called the same number to let them know I may be a few minutes late. There was no answer, so I left a detailed message. When I arrived at the warehouse, there was no one there. I tried calling repeatedly, but the recording picked up each time and prompted me to leave a message. As there are many furniture stores in the area, I decided to do some shopping while waiting for the call. I stopped into Jordan's, Ikea and a few other places and still no call came. I left a final message and hopped into the car I rented specifically for this appointment and drove back to Boston. This was two weeks ago and I've yet to receive any followup from their company. This was a complete waste of time and money, so if you're a person who values the cash that you earn and put a good deal of thought on how you spend your time, I'd would avoid trying to deal with this company.

I immediately felt unsure of the legitimacy of the business, and my feeling grew worse when I read the other two reviews. At this point, I hadn't given them anything except for my address, so I felt okay with moving forward with a potential purchase - the deal was they show up with the mattress, you pay them on the spot. The agreement was Sunday at 11AM. They called me at 10AM to inform me they were "running late". I had to roll my eyes, again because of the previous reviews. At 3:30PM they showed up at the house with the product, precisely as described. Both men were very pleasant and conducted themselves well. They quickly unloaded and moved the mattress and box spring into the garage as I requested. I gave them their payment and they were on their way. Skeptical at first, but I will use them again if they hang around for a bit. Good product so far - my wife and I slept better than we have in the past 8 years!

The salesperson Mary (I think she is the owner) we worked with was kind, knowledgeable, and very patient, which made the whole process enjoyable. This was actually our second visit, and just like the first time, the service was excellent. When they say "while it lasts," they really mean it by the time I went back for the piece I had looked at earlier, it was already gone. But honestly, I wasn't upset, because I ended up finding something similar and even saved some money. Mary was attentive and lighthearted, which made furniture shopping (usually a stressful task!) surprisingly painless. I also appreciate that they offer appointments if you want them, but since we just walked in, it was nice not to feel like there were "vultures" waiting to pounce. Overall, I'd highly recommend shopping here. The experience was easy, comfortable, and positive both times we visited.
