He transformed my shapeless longish nothing-special hair into a sleek bob that gets tons of compliments. Sometimes we mix it up with length and stacking, but I'm always pleased. It grows out well, which is good, because now I live in Austin. When I'm in Dallas, I make a point of visiting Joseph. Joseph's new salon is beautiful and comfortable. I'm offered an organic beer or organic glass of wine while we consult. His organic products (made by him!) smell nice and feel nice. Then he actually spends enough time on my hair to make sure every strand lays perfectly. Bobs need precision and Joseph delivers it every time. Conversation and atmosphere are great and most importantly, the cut is perfect. Oh, and I get to support a small business which is important to me!

Thank you Matthew Adam Forest for always taking the time to do what is best for my hair. Matt is…read moreyour lifetime hairdresser you stick with forever. Even if you stray occasionally, you always go back because he's the one who takes the time to actually mentally process what is best for your hair and physical appearance. Rather than the stare and nod, without listening as many hairdressers have become so comfortable doing. I have been going to him, along with members of my family since I was a teenager and I am now 35. I have put Matt through some challenging times with my color alone. I like change and it doesn't always work out favorably. When it comes to getting my hair back in the direction of healthy, Matt has always steered me back into the right direction (which is challenging in itself). It is probably not fun being the hairdresser that has to deal with people like me, but it really shows just how talented he is in formulating color and his technique when he does have to deal with me. As of recent I had some terrible brassy roots and unflattering color that was really washing me out. I asked Matt to get me back into shape and the result is night and day. Great job Matt! Seriously! I have had so many compliments on my hair from the time I left the salon and am still getting them. It went from brassy and trashy to flattering and sexy. Who doesn't want to have sexy hair? Thank you Matt and sorry but you will always be my go to guy, unfortunately especially when it looks bad. You are the only one I've met that takes the time to obsessively get it right while considering the health of my hair at the same time and you will never know how much I really appreciate it. My hair needs you. For anyone that wants a lifetime colorist/stylist who cares about the integrity of your hair, Matt is your man. I will follow him wherever he may end up always. On a side note, in my experience Matt has always charged way less than his level of talent deserves. Go to Dallas and get an overpriced service you are only somewhat satisfied with in comparison and you will see what I mean. Make sure to tip the people who take care of you well, just my opinion. He deserves it. Matthew Adam Salon Services - (Book online, super easy) https://www.matthew-adam.com/ 972-978-5016 Thank you, Brandi Nichole

I also got an email from the salon coordinator asking me why i would put the business on blast and if I noticed that I was the only one that had a negative comment. To top that off, she wished me good luck with my hair & "highly suggest you use other products than pantene to care for it." At this point, anything I use is better than the service & level of customer service from this person. I wonder if the Owner realizes or sees what this lady writes!! Nothing personal, didnt even meet her, but really, very unprofessional if that's how you respond to clients!

I had a GREAT experience here…read more I had a voucher from Bloomspot for an Ombre highlight. I was a little skeptical because I had someone else a few months ago at the Paul Mitchell school try to do it on me and the result looked like 3 month old barely visible highlights. Kate at Cal Martini did a FANTASTIC job on my ombre highlights. The photo of the end result is in the yelp photo section. I love it. I love it so much that before I left, I bought my next ombre highlight (they had a discount if I bought it within a week of getting it). I'll agree that the place is small and maybe not like super fancy... but they had cheese, crackers, chocolate, wine and best of all... ENTHUSIASM. These women LOVE what they do. I FELT how excited Kate was do the ombre highlights on my hair. That made ME excited too! What a pleasure to meet someone who is excited about what they do and very good at it. Excited to keep this look through the summer. Amazing work. Amazing manners. Amazing energy!
