    Neglected bathroom flooring
    Eileen M.

Room appeared neat but after check in found floors were filthy. Asked for them to be washed and was told Friday (this was Monday). Place has bugs, was told exterminator no showed. Rooms are not cleaned daily. . A/c works, bed clean, Direct TV cuts out, fridge clean, bathroom fan non-functional, dogs allowed but not all owners have cleaned up grounds after their animals. Laundry $2 wash $2 dry works well, no pool.

Very trashy! Way over priced my room supposed to be smoke free but smellls like someone has smoked weed in it or is smoking weed next door! The lady at the front desk was nice! The room and walkway and entrance not so much! There is hair in the top part of the refrigerator! Tooth paste splatter all over bathroom mirror and the tub is nasty! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! Wish I could leave zero stars I would! I wish I could get refunded and go someplace else

Brilliant, not only for the value, but the staff. Elizabeth and Richard (plus, countless others) have always made me feel welcome.

After partying hard in Biloxi and not wanting to drive an hour and a half back to NOLA I found a room here for $45 on a Saturday night.

But my choices are limited due the fact I am in a wheelchair. I is extremely hard to find a B&B or cottages that are wheelchair accessible, almost never. But Government Street Cottages has a REAL WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ROOM!!!!. It is wonderfully decorated as well. Parking is great. Large bathroom, plenty of room to maneuver. Roll-In Shower. We can't wait to go back for a few days to just get away again. And the location is just down the street from great shopping, dinning and entertainment. I would recommend to bring a cooler if you plan a long visit. It has a microwave and a small fridge as you would find in most hotels (only so much room). This would give you the option of storing more food related items and drinks, especially if you bring the kiddos. Cant wait to return. You just don't find places like this offered for the wheelchair community. Great job Government Street Cottages!!!

We are one and done. Considering a move tonight! Its location is THE only thing going for this place. It is OLD. It is not well maintained. Went to Walmart for a fan as its window unit wouldn't handle the 82 degree night heat. There was condensation dripping from the ceiling. There was no shampoo. No full shower door. Two towels. Rotten steps. Dirty porch. The room was small and the bathroom smaller. If asked to describe the place in five words: "It is old and overpriced."

Recently spent 3 nights at The Hemingway. The rooms are well designed and appointed. Location is good, except for the train that roars by early am and late on the daily. Room had an ice bucket but no ice? "The Inn's" coffee shop never opened for the 3 days of my stay. The real problem with this property,Hemingway, occurred on day 2 and 3 of my stay when it was impossible to enter the property. I, and others, were left standing for over 30 minutes while "management" tried to have "someone" come over and check why the keyless entry at the property's common, and only, entry point was inoperable!! I only got in because some other guest exited the entry point. This made my dinner reservation impossible to keep and there where NO alternatives open for dinner in town!!! The owners/managers made no real apology and of course no other accommodation was offered for this inexcusable situation. At these prices you would probably be better served staying at The Roost if you are determined to stay in Ocean Springs, at The Pearl in Bay St Louis, or The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, AL.

The pool area was large with fun outdoor music, yard games, and beverage offerings. The service was exceptional. Staff came out to open all of the umbrellas poolside and brought out pool floaties for the kids to play with. The resort offers a yoga studio that is so cute! There was also a bar that opens in the afternoon & offers beverages, including serving your drink a plastic cup, so you could bring it poolside. While we were there, the staff was working hard to set up an oyster tasting event in the gardens. Although we did not spend the night, and we're just there for the day, I would 100% recommend and be delighted to go back. Note, the only downside was that their pool is not heated. We were visiting in April, and it was definitely a little chilly... But coming from Wisconsin, we still want swimming anyway! But it appears that the majority of hotels in that area don't heat their pools. Not expected from having usually vacationed in Florida, but fun regardless.

It was late and we were tired. The decent places off the freeway were fully booked. The concierge at one of them recommended Gulf Hills, and luckily, they had the two rooms we needed. It's very chic. The front desk and main building is swanky and cool- like the conference room is behind a bookshelf, the hotel has an interesting history, and they sell wine at the front desk. The staff was professional and helpful. The rooms were quaint in a cool way, clean (spotlessly so), and comfortable. The bed was comfy. I got some good sleep. The location is in a nice, pretty, safe neighborhood and is close to things you might need. For example, if you arrive late and miss out on Capones (like we did) there is a Dennys nearby- and say what you will, but they have something for everyone. There's also a Walmart (one of the nicer ones) right by the Dennys for any other essentials you might need late at night. There is another restaurant nearby that's open late and is more upscale, as well. In sum: Great location, friendly staff, comfortable, clean. When we pass through Biloxi again, we're making a reservation here.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino…read more Some places try to impress you. This place doesn't try it just is. Right on the Gulf, standing tall like it owns the coastline (because honestly, it kind of does), this is the spot you go when you want to look good, feel sharp, and remind yourself what a real resort feels like. Clean, polished, upscale marble, light, and just enough swagger to let you know you're not in an average casino. It's not the place chasing you down with drinks every five minutes. Nah this is slower, intentional. The kind of place where the glass is heavy, the pour is right, and the whole room feels like it's got a reputation to uphold. You come here to impress or to be impressed. Now let me give you a glimpse of why this place stuck with me I'm deep into the night. Drinks in, friends around, cards and machines calling my name. Next thing I know, I've burned through my cash. Gone. Down to nothing. I'm standing there with that look like, well... that was fun while it lasted. Borrow a couple bucks I'll get you back," you know the line. Last dollar goes in. Machine starts spinning... slow... dragging it out like it knows something I don't. Then cha-ching. Lights. Noise. That beautiful, ridiculous ringing that doesn't stop. Just keeps going. People turning their heads. I'm standing there like I don't even belong in my own moment. $5,800. Just like that. I've never been the guy who wins but that night? I was that guy. Stayed up till the sun came creeping in, riding that wave, laughing like a fool, paying people back and then some. The kind of night you don't forget and the kind of place that makes it possible. That's Beau Rivage. It's not loud about it. It doesn't have to be. It's the full package restaurants, atmosphere, service, the whole experience wrapped up in one clean, high-end operation. If you want cheap thrills, look elsewhere. If you want the best all-around resort in Biloxi the one with the reputation, the look, and the stories to back it up This is the one.

On the negative side, we had to wait three hours to get our room after checking in. The first room we were given wasn't even ready when we went up to the 25th floor, so we had to go back down to the check-in counter to request another room. The room we eventually got had a noisy ventilation system running all the time. Even when I turned off the air conditioning, the annoying noise was still there, which made it difficult to relax.

My visit here was on July 28, 2021. After a long day of driving and traffic issues along the way, it was nice to finally get here that night. We got here much later than expected due to those traffic issues earlier in the day. Of course, the weather didn't help either with storms. The check in was actually done ahead of time through the Hilton app, so the app was used as the key to the room for the stay. When you come inside, the place is very inviting. Due to the pandemic, there wasn't anyone out front at the desk. It's another sign that they have been trying to drive check ins through the app instead. Overall, there was minimal interaction with others during this visit too, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Masks were required while in the public areas of the hotel if you are unvaccinated for Covid-19, but we were fully vaccinated already. With getting here so late, I wasn't able to fully explore the hotel on this visit, as I like to do when I go to any hotel. The room that I had was room 222. When coming into the room, it was very clean and fresh. This has been the general experience I have had with hotels in the past too. The beds were comfortable as well. After taking care of a few things, it was time to just turn in for the night. The sleep overall was good, especially when it's not the bed you are used to at home. Overall, it was a good restful and comfortable sleep. In the morning, it was time to see what they had available for breakfast. Due to the pandemic, the breakfast options were extremely limited. There were some pastries and some pre-packaged sandwiches that you could heat up in the microwave, along with some bread items including bagels. Overall, this was a pretty good stay for me for that one night. They definitely have lots of things you could still do there, including the pool and exercise room. I like their rooms too since they are all suites and have more room to move around in too. If you are traveling through this area and looking for a good hotel, this place is worth checking out.
