Uncleaned toilet with bodily hair and fluid stains

Studio 6 is a 1-star motel. If you are looking for an uncleaned room with bodily fluid stains and hair, left behind food, and trash from previous guests, then this is your place.

A super clean and pretty brand new motel 6 studio edition , nice clean rooms with good sized beds, clean, very modern, a lot of amenities. I arrived later on at night and the kid at the front desk was super cool, the area around here is pretty isolated from pretty much anything, there's a bunch of industrial warehouses and more than anything the Tesla plant is right behind this place which is probably why there's even anything out here. It was a pretty far drive from downtown Reno but probably worth it when you consider what you get as opposed to the type of place you'd get if you stayed in downtown Reno. I'd come back if I'm ever in Reno again.

This was my first time in sparks Nevada drove out to visit a dear friend of mine and enjoy the Rib Cook-of I've been hearing about since a teen, everything was pretty much booked up bcuz of Labor Day weekend, the rib cook-off plus the infamous burning man event lol, got lucky and found a room here kind of last minute, it's about 20 minutes away from the casinos, the kitchen had a stove with pots and pans I thought that was cool even though I didn't use them My only complaint really was the beds were hard, they could of been a lot better, can't speak on customer service didn't need any after I was given my room key, if they swap the beds out and replace them with something better this place would be a cool spot to stay when in town, I still could easily see me staying here again though but I will definitely look at other hotels preferably a little closer to downtown

Left over clothes from previous guest.

To start, the check-in process was far more difficult than it should have been. Despite notifying the hotel in advance (in writing, through their app) that we would be arriving early, one of our confirmed reservations was canceled. This created a cascade of inconvenience: one of our guests was left without proper accommodations for part of the stay and had to spend a significant amount of time working from the lobby. For a property operating at this level, that kind of breakdown in communication and inventory management is surprising. The front desk experience, specifically with Stephanie, was another challenge. The day before our scheduled checkout, she called asking why we were still in the room--seemingly unaware of our actual reservation dates. She called again later that same day with the same concern. While she did eventually apologize and acknowledged the mistake, the repeated interruptions had already created unnecessary friction. What was more concerning, however, was a lack of situational awareness. The same guest who had been displaced due to the reservation issue was later approached in the lobby--while dressed in business attire and actively on a call--and asked whether he was a guest of the hotel. Given the earlier issues, this came across as both disorganized and, frankly, dismissive of the inconvenience already caused. I want to be clear: these are fixable issues. With better internal communication, stronger training around guest management, and more attention to detail, this could be a very different experience. But as it stands, the front desk operations--particularly during check-in--fall short of what one would reasonably expect. For those considering a stay, I would recommend confirming all details multiple times and being prepared for some inconsistencies at arrival. And for management, this feels like a clear opportunity to invest in training and process improvements, particularly for guest-facing staff.

The morning check-in went okay: a new front-desk employee did her best, issued new keys, and said she'd marked my room as cleaned so I could be rechecked into the same room. Unfortunately the recheck-in process wasn't communicated to the rest of the staff - I had three different housekeeping attendants knock on my door at different times asking when I was checking out. That would have been salvageable, but the night shift was worse. I returned around 9:45 PM exhausted and could not get into the building or my room with the new key. The desk only had one clerk (Sheena) who was on the phone and assisting another guest; while waiting I asked if another staff member could help and she shook her head no. The first guest was apologized to, given water and an item from the store, and sent on their way - I received no apology or acknowledgement despite already having completed check-in and being a multi-week guest. I left feeling like a nuisance. I'm disappointed and frustrated. Management needs to improve communication between shifts and train front-desk staff to prioritize locked-out guests (and show basic courtesy). I won't be staying here again unless things noticeably change over the coming weekend - there are plenty of other hotel options in the area.

They even have additional requests section on their booking page where I requested extra things like towels. We did not receive any of those requests. Room: King, Tuscany Suite with a balcony. The room was really nothing special, as time went on we began to notice more small concerns. The first was that the ottoman at the end of our bed was stained which felt off putting. Much of the furniture and room decor was dusty. It seemed like the whole room just needed a deep clean and detail because it appeared well used. The "balcony" was just a patio space with really well loved furniture. It was also funny because our view was the worker entrance/exit so we really one saw people coming to and leaving work. Casino: This was by far the worst casino I have been too. The machines had very low RTP and rarely gave bonus games. It wasn't very well kept, drink glasses would pile up and sit. The staff seemed off putting and not very helpful. The bonuses offered weren't all that great either. Pool: The pool was decent but could use better planning. My hope would be that one of the pool decks becomes a 21+ space. Adults on vacation at a "luxury" hotel don't want to swim with kids. The hot tubs were even occupied by kids which made it unenjoyable and hard to relax. Spa: We didn't even bother with the spa because I called them prior to our stay and got sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail hoping for a call back but never received one. Overall, not worth the expensive price and we will likely not return to stay at the Peppermill.

The shower had amazing pressure and was spacious. The bathroom came with body wash, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. The AC worked well but was a little loud as it periodically turned off. We grabbed a very quick breakfast the next morning at their 24/7 diner, and it was actually so beautiful inside?! I was very impressed with the decor! Even at 8am, every employee we encountered was attentive, kind, and made our experience enjoyable. My fiancé literally just got 3 scrambled eggs and coffee to tide him over so there isn't a ton to report on the meal, but he was happy! There were 4 mini water bottles waiting for us in the room, a keurig machine with pod options, an ice machine near the elevator, and a filtered water refill station! Also a vending machine for purchasing items. Only knocking off a star because.. well.. it's not a 5 star hotel haha. The AC was a little loud at night, and we were bummed there were no table games for a quick blackjack game as the website does say "The Western Village Casino is a winning environment where you can play the best in slots, table games, and more". However, I don't think I've ever found a better bang for your buck hotel in my life.

I called the desk, they said let it run. We did. Still brown. The white wash cloths were discolored. She said the cold water is okay to drink. Ummm, no. I asked for bottled water to be sent up. Bed bugs, two room moves, and absolutely no mitigation plan!!!…read more I have never written a public review before, despite plenty of less than perfect experiences. I worked in the service industry for years and generally believe businesses deserve the opportunity to make things right. The Nugget had that opportunity and chose not to.. During our stay for Hot August Nights, we discovered bed bugs in room 1638. Security responded promptly, confirmed the issue, documented it, and moved us to room 2838. That replacement room had a long standing AC leak, saturated carpet, peeling wallpaper, and visible growth behind the wall covering. Engineering inspected it the next morning and told us we absolutely could not remain there. We were moved again, to room 1242. The frontline employees were kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Management was the problem. We repeatedly asked what the hotel could do to prevent us from carrying bed bugs into the next rooms or home with us. There was no laundry service, no heat treatment option, no containment procedure offered, and no written policy or protocol available when requested. We were allowed to move the same luggage and belongings from 1638 to 2838 and then to 1242 with no mitigation whatsoever. If we had picked up hitchhikers in the original room, we could easily have carried them through multiple hotel rooms and eventually home. We are now home and spending our own time laundering and heat treating our belongings because the property offered no assistance with this before our departure. Manager on Duty Cole Hughes was particularly disappointing. After initially avoiding speaking with us directly, he ultimately offered no meaningful assistance and told us, in substance, that once we left the property the problem would be ours. He then directed us back to Security, whose staff had already done far more to help us than management had. We requested management follow up in writing while we were still on property. No response. We requested information about what to do if we brought bed bugs home. No answer. We were told Risk Management would contact us in 7 to 15 business days. Before departure, I ultimately obtained the Risk Management phone number from Security myself. I called after returning home and left a message. This is what bothers me most: the Nugget responded to the rooms, but not to the guests. Moving us was necessary. It was not a complete response to a bed bug exposure. If this is what corporate ownership has turned guest service into, relocate, document, pass the customer to Risk Management, and wait for them to leave, it is incredibly disappointing. I am writing this because future guests should know: if you encounter bed bugs here, based on our experience, do not assume the property has a meaningful procedure in place to help prevent you from carrying them elsewhere or taking them home. Security and Engineering deserve credit. Management absolutely does not.
