I consider myself very picky and my hair is not easy to work with, especially blonde. Finding a hairdresser that could meet my needs was always difficult that is until I met Christina. For the past decade I have been seeing Christina Ardito at Alta Moda Salon in Rocky Hill. She had me platinum blonde, brown, black, ombre, balyage, highlights etc. and with every shade and or visit I've always had an amazing cut. The products she uses are extremely gentle for my hair which I appreciate. She takes her time, explains the process and never disappoints. In my opinion, she is the best in the business! She's a perfectionist, extremely creative and loves to try all the latest trends making her a master at the art of hair. This is an amazing salon, with so much to offer! They have an adorable boutique, offer facials, massages etc. The salon is huge and the atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting. Not a chance you will be disappointed, go see Christina!!!

This is local treasure for beauty, pampering and boutique shopping! Located under Metro Bis…read morerestaurant in the center of Simsbury, Rhenium has the most beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The building is a Simsbury historic, former family mansion, restored with the most elegant touches. My hair stylist is Ali. She is extremely talented ~ best highlights and cuts I remember since the hair stylist I loved during my high school years. She is super warm, friendly and comfortable to spend those 1-2 hour appointments with (the things we women go though huh). She is so good at what she does, my husband and father have gone to her for cuts and... even though they have unique head shapes and Hair characteristics, she has given them both their best cuts. No surprise my mother also joined in for her weekly wash and blowouts with complete satisfaction. I have also seen how talented she is with all types of hair including curly tresses. I follow the salons Instagram page and know from what I see, and from seeing the numerous ladies I know from around town who use Rhenium as their Beauty hub, that ALL of the stylists are at that elite level of talent and professionalism. I know they also do weddings and updos. Today I walked in and was greeted by Kathy and Sophie. Kathy is so personable, and can help you book appointments, buy gift certificates, and even help you find your way around the boutique and their new better-consignment section. I believe she helps order and run the boutique (I could be wrong and will update if needed). Sophie has a nutrition-wellness & life coaching business, and can even do tarot card readings while you get your do done. Today I picked up a wonderful crystal filled spray bottle of room spray that Sophie created that I already love! On the website look under "More of the Good Stuff" to see what Sophie offers. Both of these ladies will provide you with professional and kind service. Today I met Leslie for a facial.. what a special and caring person she is. She created such a relaxing and beautiful room to pamper her clients. The facial was so much more than a facial! I was immediately helped to relax. She took her time, massaged my head, shoulders and parts of my upper shoulders and back. I felt so taken care of and she was just lovely to chat with. I didn't realize just how much I needed this pampering and relaxation. I left feeling so happy & relaxed... from a booked facial! I'm still new to this salon so I imagine as I experience new services I can come back and update you. In addition to hair and skin care, nutritional services and life coaching, they have a masseuse and a red laser lit sauna! Do yourself a favor and check out their website and book yourself a well-deserved pampering appointment! You can book online. If you need a gift for a lady in your life, I guarantee their boutique has something you can quickly pick up that will be greatly appreciated.

Rude rude and more rude. This place is constantly advertising and giving out coupons, but what…read moregood is it when you treat your new customers like crap? It's run by a family- father, mother, and son. They are complete snobs. I had an appointment with the mother because she is the short hair expert. But she took one look at my hair and decided it wasn't short enough, so she'd pass me off to her son (the apprentice?). He asked me WHAT HAPPENED?! to my hair. Excuse me, what do you mean "What happened?" I guess he was trying to say I have bad hair. I'm sorry but my hair is extremely thick and curly, I can't help that. I've also been told at many other salons that it is healthy and strong. Anyway, as soon as they started working on my hair they were quick to try to upsell me on a Brazilian Keratin Treatment. "People come from all over the state just for this!" OK how much does it cost? "Oh anywhere from $250-500." Wow, that is a pretty broad range. Well you will have to come back in for a consultation. They couldn't even give me a quote that day! I will think about it. I called back a few weeks later, they said Grace was on vacation and she'd call me back to set up a consultation. She never did. Oh well, their loss not mine. While he was cutting my hair he constantly bragged about all the training he's had, Paul Mitchell school blah blah blah. Bored me to death. Then another customer came in and he left me! I was just sitting there waiting forever while he did her hair. To top it all off, he didn't even ask me if I liked my cut, if I wanted more taken off, etc. I think he might have cut off .0001 cm. I went for a real haircut somewhere else the next day. A few months later I came back for a facial. It was very short (barely 30 minutes) and nothing special. I'm definitely done with this place. Spend your money at a salon that appreciates it.

I went yesterday for a 60 min massage and a pedicure and could not have been happier with my experience. Both services were perfection. I actually hesitated to try a pedicure because I have gone to my normal nail place religiously for years and have been happy but Ratha blew my nail salon out of the water. The attention to detail, the care and consideration of my comfort, and the absolute gorgeous job she did was more than I could have ever hoped. Not to mention, this is the softest my feet have ever felt in years. Like butter! She was also lovely to work with. My massage with Courtney was also incredible. Again, massages are nothing new to me, so I sort of go into each massage knowing what to expect but Courtney melted me. I never fall asleep during a massage (maybe once in my entire life) and I was out like a light at some point. She was so careful of the space on my shoulder I told her about the recent surgery on, but didn't ignore it and deprive me of any of the shoulder massage piece. She accommodated my still-drying toe nails from pedicure prior (I didn't have any choice about timing; I added the pedicure on at the last minute and they were happy to work around my request). All in all, I was happy with scheduling, the services, and felt that pricing was more than fair for the quality of the services received. I have paid much more for pedicures and massages, only to be disappointed in the results. Highly recommend Parisian! Looking forward to returning to use the remainder of my gift card soon!
