The hair and makeup were not great / I was looking for something different. I was communicating about changes I wanted to make and the styles says she doesn't have the right tools to do what I'm looking for (finger waves and plum eye-shadow) and I should have sent pictures ahead of time. I did email and call before the trial and all I was told was to bring my veil. I was never asked for pictures. At the end of the trial the styles asked when my date was and shes she having elective surgery that month, but not to worry it wont be that weekend. My mom and I got really nervous, but were reassured not to worry. Plus they had already confirmed my date months before. I made a second trial date to come back to Michigan and redo my trial. Before the second trial I get a text that they are canceling on the wedding for an elective weight loss surgery. I was really disappointed because I paid $50 and drove 8 hours for the trial. The styles did help me find a replacement which was great. I just wish she had been up front. I would have waited to schedule the trial date.

The fade was uneven, there were several places missed and the worst part was in the back. It's like the stylist fell sideways while cutting. It was way too high and crooked with an inch dripping lower than the rest. My wife had to fix it and now I stuck with a very high line of short short hair above my neck. She was also messy, making no effort to keep lose hair off me. I expect to shower after a haircut, but I shouldn't walk away wearing most of the hair that was cut off.

I'm so glad she got out of that because she has found her calling. I'm not gonna lie I went in today having put off a massage for too long. She had her work cut out for her in the form of multiple hard knots all around my shoulder blades. She worked to try and get these knots to release and they did quite a bit but I knew I would have to make a follow up appointment and so I did. I just wish I made it for tomorrow instead of in a week! Lol. Ann did a fantastic job and I can't wait to return!! I would highly recommend you give her a try but I need her schedule to stay open for me so don't bother! ;P

Once seated, I took a look at the brochure that disclosed prices. I was in for a perm. It said "$75+". I've been getting perks for the better part of 15 years and this is what I am accustomed to paying. Usually around $80. I've even paid $90 at high end salons in Atlanta. The hairdresser was fantastic. Kind, funny, and chatty. I showed her a photo of the perm style I was looking for and she began. I was there about 2 hours. That's the norm. When I checked out I asked for a recommendation on a good shampoo and left with one I love. (Try Loma, you won't regret it) however, when I was checked out the total was $175!!! One hundred dollars more than what's disclosed in the salon brochure. I have paper thin, chin length hair so I was shocked. I didn't question the total there because the hairdresser was so awesome but after speaking with other stylists and friends and neighbors, they encouraged me to review such a discrepancy in the price. Maybe the shampoo was $100? I still have sticker shock 2 weeks later. I've never paid even close to that price so I was appalled. For this reason I did not recommend the salon to friends or neighbors and can't recommend on yelp. There's a host of salons in this area (excellent ones) that seem to be more upfront and honest in their pricing.
