I have alsways had wonderful service at Salon 22. This summer I was there multiple times. Not only to get my hair cut and colored but also for 2 weddings- updo's, spray tans, and nails. We had exceptional treatment. All stylists did exactly what I wanted. They were knowledgeable about the products and I felt like I could ask a lot of questions in order to style my hair the way they did. Noelle, the owner, is fantastic as she is able to schedule appointments via email. That works for my schedule. I find it much easier to go back and forth via email than multiple phone calls. Not only is she flexible but seriously one of the nicest women I have met in a long time. I will keep going back every summer! read more

Decided to have my hair colored. Came with a idea and picture, hair turned out nothing like it. Called and they were happy to have me come back. So again came with a picture and a color, still not happy. She again happily offered to do it a 3rd time but after spending all day in the salon it was not worth it. The place was clean and the people were nice. The work was just not to par with what an Aveda salon should be. read more

I had an amazing experience with Brie at Salon 22 - she gave me best facial I have ever had! After spending the weekend in the sun, my face was very dry, but after my facial my skin looked and felt amazing. It was an incredibly relaxing experience and it was the perfect end to the weekend. After reading good reviews, I chose this salon for the facial make up on my wedding day. I simply informed that I want natural look, after 20 mins of service, the staff showed me the result, oh no my face looked sick and looked 30 years older with no mascara no eyebrow filled. I was so surprised after she informed that eyebrow is not included in the make up applicator service!! So I just gave up, paid $27, left the place unbelievably frustrated. I washed all the make up at home, and have the make up done by myself. Just pure horrible, truely disaster, and the worst beauty service I have ever experienced in my entire life. read more

My five girlfriends and i had an awesome spa experience during our Ludington girls getaway last week at Salon 22! Prior to our spa afternoon, Noelle, the owner, and i communicated about which services each girlfriend wanted. We put together a schedule and the fabulous and friendly staff was ready and waiting when we pulled up. Two clothed tables were waiting for us to spread out our beverages and appetizers and the salon was ours for the afternoon! We all left feeling refreshed after facials, manis, pedis, scalp massages and makeup and ready for dinner (and later, dancing) in downtown Ludington. We will be back! Salon 22 will be a regular part of our repertoire when in Ludington! read more

I got married in Ludington in September 2013. I used Salon 22 for manicures/pedicures the day before my wedding, and hair/makeup the day of my wedding, for me, my 7 bridesmaids, and 2 moms. I'm not originally from Ludington, and went to this salon on a recommendation. To say I was thrilled with their service would be an understatement. Noelle and team set up a table in the back for us to relax and enjoy the full experience. They thought of everything to make our time in the salon as special as the occasion we were celebrating. As for the services, our nails, hair and makeup were all beautiful. I'll be sending in pictures to the salon when we get them back so they can see the awesome work they did in action! As soon as I walk through the door, I am pleasantly greeted and offered a cup of tea. My wait is very brief and soon my peppermint tea and I are heading to our hairdressers station. Jess was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to and even gave me a little neck rub while we talked about the style I wanted. Even when she was washing my hair, it was like getting a scalp massage. The spa atmosphere was lovely. She gave me exactly what I asked for and I left pleased as punch. I often recommend not just this salon but specifically Jess. I very recently tried going somewhere else for a change of pace and regret it immensely. I'm sure I'll be returning here once these catastrophic bangs grow out. read more

I have been to Salon 22 numerous times for waxing, highlights, and haircuts. I got a horrible haircut from there recently and when I went back to ask if they could look at it and tell me what my options were, they told me to come back later. All I wanted was for a stylist to tell me what my options were. Being a professional in the community, and someone who has been growing their hair out for two years I felt awful when they turned me away. When I asked for a refund, the owner said she would give me store credit. Needless to say, I won't be returning to Salon 22. I HIGHLY recommend Sandals Salon and Spa on Ludington Ave. near the beach. I walked in and the owner gave me a consult and called in a stylist to help me right away. read more
