I made an appointment to get a haircut today and when I arrived, the young woman behind the desk was very nice, very welcoming. She told me that she would tell Liberty that I was there. I was early so I had a seat. Liberty didn't acknowledge me in any way, say hello, let me know that she would be a few minutes, absolutely nothing, which was a little weird for me, but I shrugged it off. I waited twenty minutes, not a problem. When she was done with her client, she asked who was waiting for the haircut and when I said me, she made a face and told me that she didn't cut short hair. Wasn't great news, but the issue was that she was incredibly rude when she told me. And when I said, I wished that it had been stated on the website or had been told that earlier, she made a face, smirked, and shrugged. Then, she went and asked two other stylist if they could fit me in, trying to whisper while she did it, but I got to hear her complain about me, which was fun to hear in front of my kids. I asked for a refund instead, which again, was met with a smirk. When I tried to explain to her why I was upset to have my time wasted and that I wished that the website was clear on what she did and didn't do, another smirk, a tone, and a guarantee that I would never go back there. When I asked what the refund policy was, if I'd receive an email, receipt, something, an attitude. One of the other women jumped in and told me their process, which I appreciate and thanked her. The other stylist there were very nice, said they'd be more than willing to help me out. My last haircut looked like a body part that I won't mention here and I was forced to wear hats for a bit, so I appreciated the offer, but after dealing with Liberty... Yeah, I won't be going back there. Now, I absolutely appreciate her honesty. She can't cut short hair. That's fine. It was the attitude and the entitlement that she gave after my time had been wasted as though she honestly could not wrap her head around why anyone would be upset that she'd wasted their time. it was honestly mind-blowing. I understand that she is young, but this is a business, and just common decency, when you waste someone's time, don't smirk, shrug, and give a condescending smile. read more

have been coloring my hair for many, many years and have had multiple hairdressers throughout that time. This was by far the worst color service I have ever received. I only went to Studio 311 because I couldn't get an appointment with my regular stylist -- a decision I deeply regret. I have light blonde money pieces in the front and light brown in the back. The stylist did not use foils for the highlights and instead brushed the color on very sloppily, then left it on for over an hour. Throughout the entire process, I questioned the color many, many times because it clearly did not look right. Despite my concerns, the service continued. After rinsing, she applied root color to my wet hair. The root color bled into the highlights, turning them a dirty brown, while my roots were still not properly covered. I was also scheduled for a haircut, but given how bad the color already looked, I decided not to risk it. If this is the level of care put into coloring, I can only imagine what the cut would have been like. When I pointed out that my roots were not covered, she offered to redo it -- which would have meant sitting there for another two hours. At that point, I was completely done. I paid for the service and left. Never, ever will I return to this salon, and I would absolutely not recommend Studio 311 to anyone looking for professional color services. read more

I didn't want to leave this review, but when I hit submit to their internal review system, I got an email stating I was blocked. I don't know if the salon would even see that, but I think it's essential that the manager get this information to fix these issues. I had an appointment yesterday, 9/3, with one of their stylists; she seems pretty new to the team. Very chatty. Her name starts with the letter "B." I had some grays coming in and needed them covered. I also requested accent highlights around my face, and they charged me for toner. I asked for someone who knew curly hair and got "B." She seemed pretty sweet but noticed that she didn't know how to manage curly hair. After highlighting around my face and coloring in my grays, she washed my hair but didn't comb through it, which was strange. Instead, she put some product in my hair and grabbed the hair diffuser; while she was diffusing, she was raking it through, which when I said I don't want the curl seal to break to let it air dry. As a result, my hair was wet, and I couldn't see that I still had gray. SMH. Mind you, when she asked what color I wanted the highlights, I said not brassy--total miss communication. So I got these bright yellow highlights. At the same time, I asked how I could avoid brassiness. She said I should buy the blue-tone shampoo. I asked her to fix the yellow highlights, and she returned me to the sink. Another stylist checked in and said it "looked good." My hopes are high "she got it." We returned to the chair, and she started drying just the pieces around my face. Fine with me, I needed to see what was going on. It was damp still when she stopped and asked how I liked it. I said it looked good from the little I could see, though still yellow. I bought the blue-tone conditioner and left the salon; when I got home, and it was fully dry, I noticed my highlights' were yellow-greenish in color. Weird, and my grays seem to be poking out; ok, not the end of the world. No worries, I'll use the blue-tone conditioner to offset this yellow... WAIT... yellow highlights and blue conditioner would equal green! She sold me something that would turn my hair even more green. I called this morning, 9/4, to ask if I could return the blue conditioner before using it, "B" picked up and said, unfortunately, they couldn't take back anything after selling it. GREAT! I hung up and started my review. This was not cheap; I spent $160 before the tip for a root touch-up and seven foils around my face. "B" seemed lovely; we chatted a lot about her life but she lacked awareness and knowledge about curly hair. So, unfortunately, I won't be coming back. read more

After reviewing this salon over and over i had such a good feeling about going to get my bangs trimmed!! this was my first time getting my bangs trimmed since having them (a month prior). i walked in with a hoodie on and instantly took it off as anybody cutting hair would ask, my stylist (not sure of her name) said it didn't matter... i thought like that's so odd bc it does matter -- anyway, i sit down and show her a pic of what i'd like (Anastasia steels bangs from 50 shades) and she trims my "bangs" without any questioning or parting.... i proceed to mention the face framing included in my bangs and she said "oh, i thought they might've been a mistake by the last stylist" so still without parting my hair, she pulls my side burns out and cuts them at a straight line across. she finished and told me to take a look and i see the left side of my bangs is noticeably shorter than the right, so i said something and i feel like she pretended not to notice at first then finally says "i didnt understand what you were talking about" and just cuts my bangs straight across, matching the shorter length. this length was literally halfway up my forehead when i requested them to be touching the tip of my eyebrow... she said she'd rather customer speak up while we're in her chair if we don't like something but how can you fix bangs that are cut too short ?? you can't.... so i payed and went about my night. I've been debating this review as it is not in my norm to "complain" but id hate for other women to have the expectations i did then the experience i did. i even called before hand asking if they felt comfortable cutting bangs and very confidently they said yes... sorry not sorry but they wont have my services anymore read more

This salon is fabulous! Rachel is my go to stylist and owner, but the other girls are amazing also. I have had makeup done for special functions and color/highlights from others as well. They make you feel so special! Everyone of the ladies constantly checks to see if you need a snack or something to drink as well. The products they use make my hair feel healthy and so smooth. If you want a fun atmosphere and expert attention, this is a definite choice! Give it a try! read more

I have mixed feeling about this place because I have come multiple times to get a haircut and it has been done very well. However, I went there to get naturally blonde hair some blonde highlights with one of their stylist who claimed she specialized in blonding. And I was quite disappointed. My mom is a cosmetologist and she saw my hair recently and was shocked at how streaky the highlights were and didn't even look like they were toned. She said it looked like she very much rushed through my hair. Some of the my hair strands almost look bleached and gray. Not to mentioned it was WAY more expensive than I ever imagined for partial highlights, and for the quality of it, just not worth the money. I honestly felt like she took advantage of me knowing I haven't had my hair professionally done at a real hair studio, and added extra expenses knowing I wouldn't know what they mean. I do think a lot of their hair stylist are talented so I feel bad knocking the whole business. read more

Disappointment. I really needed a new stylist and had high hopes Stevie was the one, but I am not about to hire a stylist that over books. I walked in and she already had 2 girls she was working on which was an immediate red flag. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time and she hadn't even cut girl #2's hair, let alone blow dry, so I left. BTW, I was asked to fill out a 3 page liability waiver and policy acknowledgement. There were 3 "late policies" I had to initial...good grief. Maybe the owner should initiate a staff "late policy" and have them initial and acknowledge. read more

I have been searching for an affordable stylist that specializes in blonde and fashion colors - that also puts emphasis on hair integrity (weight loss surgery had me loosing a lot of hair the past year). Through a local FB group I found Emerald at 312. Not only is she talented and knowledgeable at what she does, but she genuinely cares about every client that sits in her chair. Emerald is young, but with the talent and artistry she's capable of right now - I can not WAIT to see where she'll be in 5-10 years. Holy Cow - My neutral golden blonde locks can't thank her enough! I spent A LOT of time researching salons before going here..... I came in on a Friday for a consultation and was told Kayla wasn't even there so to come back the following Wednesday and that day she did a strand test and determined id need a strong lightener in order to achieve the blonde I was going for. I came in to get it fully colored with just a root shadow on Saturday. I was feeling depressed before going in but decided to go in and hope I'd feel better afterwards but unfortunately I left feeling 10x worse. She did partial highlights no clue why the hell she did that makes absolutely no sense and she charged me for 4 bowls so 4x the price of partial highlights.......... And I walked out with GRAY partial highlights! She told me it should wash away on its own and that at least I just stay at home with my two babies!!! I messaged the owner asking this to be fixed after I'd spent 5 hours in the salon for partial gray highlights so I went in on Sunday and she got rid of the gray and made it look almost brassy ‍ didn't add more blonde to achieve the blonde I'd asked for and easily gotten in one 4-5 hour session at other salons going from dark blonde to platinum.... So I left the salon again with hair looking still worse than when I originally went in! I went to the look salon in Oviedo I found and actually was treated with care and respect. I hope no one else gets the same level of service I did. My hair is a dark dark ash blonde and in just one session I was able to go full platinum at the look salon and spa so the owner of studio 312 womansplaining that everyone's base is different and everyone wants Donna hair but can't achieve it in one session was a load of crap.
