I am so sad that so many reviews from Studio 27 are outdated and poor. I have now gotten botox, touch up lip filler (they allowed me to just do a 1/2 syringe while some places don't allow that), and a thread lift. I'm not sure what type of threads were used, perhaps PDO..? Apologies, I'm not certain. I can tell that Michael has a very particular sense of aesthetic, and she has a great eye for what needs to be done and how. I usually leave things up to a hair dresser, medi spa, or Nordstrom consultant etc to determine what would look best because I'm autistic and I have no semblance of keen self evaluation this is where someone like Michael can be very helpful. This was my first time getting threads and my second time getting a neuromodulator (botulinum) injection. Now the GREAT part! I was a little scared of getting threads because I'd never had em before. Michael put 2 threads on each side of my jaw line, which is where I wanted the threads. This is not a very significant amount of threads, or so I've discovered since the treatment. It's on the more "conservative" side. She used a perfect amount of local anesthetic beforehand; I have pretty thick skin, so I'm glad she used a good amount. I just closed my eyes after that and let her work. At one point, she had to use a fair amount of force to get the cannula shoved subdermally, but she had everything under control. I did feel pressure, but very little pain. As soon as i left, I went to visit with a buddy of mine (a straight, generally objective male). He was totally shocked and asked me immediately what I'd done to my face because it looked so good. He said "you don't look like a different person or anything, but you look like the best version of you. Your face that was already beautiful looks perfected. Jesus, that's impressive!" I was also totally impressed when I looked in the mirror. Everyone says that the threads cause the dermis to become fortified and tighter/less saggy/more chiseled "V line"; this is not only due to the threads mechanically pulling up the tissues, but also due to the thread ingredients' I ability to initiate collagen/elastin production. It's been a few weeks since I've had it done. It's one of the best things I've ever done for my face. it ended up looking absolutely INCREDIBLE, lifting my thick skin upwards to a fairly significant degree. This is clearly not a substitute for a face lift, or other very invasive procedures that a plastic surgeon can perform. However, I'd say it's the verrrrry next best option. I did feel like I got punched in the jaw for a few days, but hey I've had much worse pain in my life, and and it's 100% worth it. My husband bought me a Groupon for my first massage so I was excited for some time away from the kids and to relax for an hour. The salon was easy to find and had a convenient parking lot so I didn't have to worry about street parking on a busy Saturday. That was definitely a plus. Everyone was nice enough and the massage from Eddie was nice as well. The only complaint I have is the amount of noise in the salon. Unfortunately with the location of their massage room it seemed a central location for stylists to gather and chit chat. It made it hard to enjoy the massage while listening to their weekend plans and cell phones going off. Than someone brought in their child who cried through a nice part of my massage. I think if the room was sound proofed a bit it would really help the ambience. Overall the salon was nice and clean. read more

Do not get lip injections here!!!! I cannot say this loud enough! I got my lips done here three years ago and they are STILL recovering from the damage that was done. I have lumps and bumps that somehow are still very apparent. read more

Michael the owner is great but she needs better staff. I tried to return for additional services after my initial appointment and her assistant would not call me back or tell me they didn't know their schedule yet. I did finally get another appointment scheduled just to show up and no one was there. The assistant made no apologies and failed to get me rescheduled. Love the salon. Micheal is knowledgeable and really cares about the outcome of your service. The studio is a great environment, friendly and very supportive staff. Studio 27 USED TO BE awesome. I think a lot has changed in the past years. There are a lot of other places to have your high dollar injections done and I suggest you go there. I would almost insist you do. I had botox injections done here recently and in a matter of a few days I don't even look like the same person... more like the Joker on Batman. I called to discuss the poor outcome of my injections and no-one to answer the phone.Left message with no return phone call. One would think you would only get better doing this for such a long time but this indeed is not the case. I have been to this salon a couple times. Both times I visited for different things. The first time was because I had bought a groupon for microdermabrasion treatments. I was in and out of the room and back in my car within 15 minutes. This was the worst experience ever. I have had this type of treatment done elsewhere and never experienced anything like this. I guess since it was a groupon they felt the need to not provide the same service as compared to someone paying the normal price. I guess you get what you pay for. :-( My second experience was for a botox party. A friend of mine invited me, so I thought I would give the salon a second chance. Nope. Was not a good idea. The owner was doing the injections. First of all, she had her dog running around the place, while we are trying to relax with some wine and hang out. I am a dog lover, but they do not belong in a place where injections are being administered. Second, she never changed gloves while doing injections. She should have changed gloves after each person. This seems like a health code violation, along with having pets in the facility. I would NEVER recommend this salon to anybody for any type of procedure. read more

I had seen several technicians and Michael Rene at Studio 27 for years, last appointment October 2018. I was happy with the services, we always had pleasant visits. The office's recent correspondence was a shock and concerning. I attempted to make an appointment online for a promotion that they had emailed me about. I was texted back in later evening from the office phone number. In the text I was told that I was cheap, (that Studio 27 wasn't a Walmart), that I refused to pay for services at my last visit and had been told at that time that I was no longer to be seen at Studio 27. I have no recollection of this happening and have always paid. The text was phrased as coming from Michael Rene?? I texted back my confusion about all of this but have not had a response. Take care in making appointments, be sure the office staff, Stylanna (sp?) and Bonnie, know exactly who you are and schedule you appropriately. There have been problems with this in the past. This place is super shady. I called on a Friday morning and left a message asking about products. I never got a call back so I went online and scheduled an appointment for Monday afternoon. I got a phone call (their phone does work ), an hour before my appointment time, stating that the were out of Juvederm and the shipment wouldn't be in until tomorrow, Tuesday! I asked about other products and she said no, only juvederm. Anyway - there loss! read more

Absolutely the worst experience. Last July 2018, I went in for my first ever chemical peel to remove some pigmentation around my cheeks and eyes. I was told by Michael that it would be painful and that I would have about a week of downtime maybe two at the most.my face was on fire from the solution and chemicals. I was in tears. I was told that once the chemicals are put in my face or snow way to remove them and that I would just have to wait it out. I ended up with severe burns on my face and blisters with water on my neck and my face Michael would not return my phone calls for 2 days only had me send a picture and tell me that was normal. my face was not healing and I ended up going to a dermatologist which was appalled I had to be put on special burn creams and my healing process is still in effect 1 year later. I now have cystic acne which is leaving scars on my face my face is so sensitive that I can hardly use any kind of face creams because the chemical peel my dermatologist in for me that whatever was used on my face was so severe and strong it should never have been used on me. By the way I'm have very fair skin. I have since gone to two other people in regard to my face and I have been informed that they have seen other botched procedures from studio 27 that had to be repaired. I had no idea because the reviews online are great but I felt after a year that I needed to let people know what my experience was in regard to this chemical peel. read more

Was totally on board with you Michael until you lied in your documentation...to cover your tracks! I would be weary and go to very certified dermatologist or plastic surgeons for procedures. Will comment on more in detail later but honestly be very selective in your services. read more

Didn't really have an opportunity to have anything done. I received a groupon for IPL as a gift and when I called to make the appointment no one answered so I left a message. I did receive a call back and was told that the machines were stolen and that they cannot complete the service. They offered me a chemical peel or permanent makeup instead. And they still have the service listed on Groupon. If they can not complete the service they should not be advertising for a service that they can not complete. read more
