Supreme Dance Studio

Supreme Dance Studio

Supreme is a wonderful dance studio with a lot of heart and enthusiasm for what they do. I cannot…read morefathom the number of performances the Supreme kids do on a monthly basis, but each performance is done with passion and gumption. The owners of the studio, Gino and Elmo, as well as the variety of staff teachers have a lot to do with that. They have fostered a wonderful positive culture here at Supreme and it really pays off. If you're looking for a place to send your kids to get into hip-hop choreography, Supreme is my number one recommendation in the Chicagoland area. They deal with young children to high schoolers, so as long as your kid is old enough to walk and talk and young enough to not be able to legally buy lottery tickets, you can send them here! I myself am NOT a kid, contrary to popular belief, so you might be wondering what exactly Supreme has to offer since it's primarily a place for youth instruction. Well, the studio is a top-tier choice for various pop-up classes, workshop sessions, and team rehearsals due to their low rates, accessibility, and fantastic customer service. This place is like home to me because of the hundreds of rehearsals and classes I've been to here. It can also be rented out for non-dance events as well; just inquire about it. The one downside of the studio is the neighborhood. This isn't a problem with the studio itself, but the neighborhood is extremely uptight and FREQUENTLY makes noise complaints to the Skokie police when stuff goes past a certain time. The neighbors have been super problematic from my experience and kind of frustrating; it's not a nice experience when the cops are showing up once a month because of a noise complaint. Can't really do much about this though; the boomers just need to deal with it. You will not find a better recommendation from me for a youth dance studio in the area. Please go and support this wonderful studio!

All of the instructors (both regular and pop up) are always super well versed and teach amazing classes. The kids' program is bomb, but there's classes for people of all ages. Studio rentals are also very organized and reasonably priced. Overall, Supreme is a super cute neighborhood business where dancers of all levels can come and learn !

Lynette's School of Dance is a wonderful studio to learn ballet and other types of dance. It is…read morelocated in South Park, Park Ridge and always has easy parking right in front for drop off / pick up. The studio is very inviting and decorated to make the young girls feel at ease when they start to learn to dance. Pricing is on par with other studios in the area. Miss Lorena is an excellent instructor. She is kind and really helps the kids to focus on dancing. Our daughter has really enjoyed learning basic ballet here and she has made some good friends there in the process. They have classes from 3 year olds all the way up to high school, so kids can work their way through the program and stick with the same group of friends. They put on 2 recitals per year and the girls get fancy outfits to wear. It is awesome to see all of their work pay off and perform in front of a large audience of family and friends. I highly recommend Lynette's to help your child learn dance.

I would consider this an average dance studio. My daughter has taken classes here for the past…read moreyear and while she enjoys the class and teacher, I had hoped for more from a dance studio. The preschool classes do not have a limit on the number of kids enrolled which makes the small classroom feel tiny by the spring time (for example, my 4 year old's class started with 10 girls in the fall and ended with 23 girls in the spring, with only 1 teacher and 2 school-age helpers). Miss Lorena is great with the children and is the reason I kept my daughter at the school for the entire year. I will now be looking for a new studio that limits the size of their classes so that my child can actually learn some things about dance.

I've heard about Chicago's dance history and I was looking forward to learning more about it. For…read moreme in particular, it was the hustle scene. It may not be as big as bigger cities (LA, NY) but I'm glad they had one. Here was my experience here. AMBIANCE: It's in more of a suburban area of Chicago. Relatively close (15 minutes) away from the airport and from downtown. The place itself is on the 2nd floor of a building. It seems like a pretty historic brick building with a spacious layout. The layout is basically one big floor to dance on with ceiling lights and string lights to bright up the place. The class consisted of a lot of talented 40+ which was cool as they had a lot of knowledge to share. The size is great for group practices and socials. Parking - Pretty much just street parking. Customer Service - Awesome! My instructor was Dawn Lara and she was great! Knowledgeable and friendly. I felt pretty welcomed in this place. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. I had a great experience here! The instructors were awesome and my classmates were pretty fun. One of the main things for me was always feeling will people be condescending and whatnot, but the vibes were pretty welcoming here. This was a good start to learning more about the dance community and scene here in Chicago, I just wish I stayed longer to learn more! Advice: * Check out their schedule online and on social media for events.
