The salon itself is very put together. Unlike some of the more chic salons that have a cold feeling, this salon is warm and inviting. My favorite accessories in the room were the chairs for pedicures. They were comfy armchairs rather than your normal sticky salon chairs. Adding to the warm atmosphere were the staff members. They were easy to talk to and eager to help. I was bringing my best friend (who's pregnant!) to get pedicures. We had Jilly as our nail technician. I appreciated her care of details. She made sure our nails were perfect, and did what she needed to do to make our nails truly sparkle. With the pandemic and all else going on in my life, I decided to try and get my hair permed. I…read morewanted to give myself a much need emotional boost but, what I got was a nightmare. To begin, I wanted a spiral perm. I had to go in twice because the first time they messed it up and the perm fell out that same day. Now I've had many perms throughout my life and none have fallen out that same day. So I call Hair Razor back and ask for my money back....$80 by the way. The owner tells me she'd make me another appointment to fix the problem and that she would be there to supervise the stylist this time to make sure it was done right. I had to wait about a month just to get finally seen again....and guess what....that same day a Friday, again the perm falls out. So I tried to be a good sport about it and waited till the following Monday to call and get my money back because this was now the second time they did not give me what I wanted. So I call that monday to speak to the owner to get my money back. I'm told she's not there and that she'd call me back. Fast forward to the following Thursday and I still haven't heard from the owner. I call Hair Razor back again and the owner "Courtney" answers the phone. I explain who I am and that I wanted my money refunded for poor service and faulty work. The owner refused to give my money back and then proceeds to tell me how she'd be out the $80 if she gave me my money back because of her time and products used on my hair... So let me get this straight. I paid $80 for spiral perm, they mess up on it the first time and it falls right out the same day. I call to get my money back, they offer to redo my hair at no charge...as if saying that was some service to me. I go in the second time and just like before it falls right out that same day again. Now they won't give me my money back because of services rendered...what services were rendered when I never got what I wanted in the end. That's like hiring a painter to paint your house blue but, then the painter paints the house red. Then when you ask for your money back, because clearly they didn't do the job right the first time, the painter tells you give me a second chance I'll do the job right the second time... Again, rather then having a blue house like you paid for again you end up with a red house. When you've had enough and finaly say you just want your money back the painter has the nerve to say they won't give you your money back because of the time they spent and paint they had to buy. I'll never recommend Hair Razor to anyone I know and I'll be sure to tell this nightmare to anyone I know considering going to this place for a perm.

I came in as part of a party and had a terrible experience. I signed up and was quoted for an…read moreacrylic gel fill. When my appointment started, the nail technician told me that there was no acrylic service even available, only "sculpting gel." Clearly there was already some miscommunication. My tech burned my fingernails three times while using the sculpting drill, and after applying metal "sculpting" tools for "bonding," I experienced what she described as "the ring of fire." She gave me no warning that I may feel a searing, burning sensation the FIRST time, but when I told her I was in pain, she said it needed to happen to finish the manicure. I've never experienced a stressful manicure until this one. My cuticles weren't trimmed, leftover polish is still visible, and the "new" nails are not even smooth! On top of this, after the whole two-hour ordeal was (thankfully) over, I was charged $55 instead of the $30 that I was quoted. NOT ONCE did the tech mention this upcharge--until it was time to pay! I'm not sure if the tech wasn't properly trained, didn't have the right tools, or just didn't have the talent to provide an appropriate level of service. I hope these issues will be rectified for future customers; I won't be back!

I couldn't suggest coming to Ikes Place anymore, fantastic dude, fantastic job, fantastic place.
