I did call twice before to speak about my issue but apparently this previous employee never relayed the messages. Looking forward to having my hair re-done and using this salon in the future. I'm autistic and I have a tendency to talk A LOT and about things most people don't care about. I have pet rats and when I was at the reception desk I noticed that there were clover flowers in the grass in the parking lot and I asked if they could give me a ziplock bag to grab some after my appointment. Not only did the receptionist give me a ziplock bag, but she did it without making me feel like it was a weird request, and she even seemed happy to do so. They definitely have my business for the foreseeable future

Came on a Saturday mid day, warm welcome, they took our coats and guided us downstairs to the spa area. You walk in to a full service hair salon. The downstairs is focused on the spa only. They have resting areas, play relaxing music, and the entire staff was pleasant to interact with. Only minus was you could still hear the music and talking from upstairs when you walked by the staircase. I got the chocolate covered strawberry facial with Jayde. She was great, she answered my questions during the experience. During the mask portion, she offered a scalp massage or hand and arm massage. I went with the hand and arm massage which she did excellent with. This calming, cleansing, uplifting facial was followed by my full body massage with Lea. Lea is a gem! She wished me happy birthday a few times and gave me so much good knowledge about my body, my high tension areas and tips on how to relax them at the end of a day. Each service was about 1 hour. Total for two people facial/massage and tax/tip came to $486. I definitely plan on returning for self-care.

About a month in advance, I called to book a couples massage for my boyfriend and me to celebrate our anniversary. I booked early because I know these appointments can fill up quickly. At the time, I was told they would call me to confirm once everything was finalized, which seemed completely reasonable. Two weeks passed without any communication, so I called to follow up. I was told they were still waiting for a second massage therapist to confirm and that someone would call me back. Another week went by, and again, I heard nothing. Four days before our scheduled appointment, I called once more. I was told they had supposedly tried to contact me the previous week, but I never received a call, voicemail, or message. During that conversation, I was informed that the second massage therapist had injured her shoulder and could no longer work on the second table in the couples massage room, meaning my boyfriend and I would need to be placed in separate rooms. Of course, I was sorry to hear about the therapist's injury, but the entire reason I booked was for a couples massage experience. I also wasn't comfortable with the idea of an injured therapist potentially pushing herself further. I was then told they would "work something out." What that ultimately meant was that the therapist would only be able to accommodate one of the two couples massages scheduled that day and would have to choose between our appointment and another booked later. After a month of poor communication, repeated follow-ups on my part, and last-minute changes to the service I had specifically planned for our anniversary, I decided to cancel the appointment myself. With only four days' notice, there was little chance of finding another couples massage elsewhere. While I understand that unexpected situations happen, the lack of proactive communication and the way this was handled was extremely disappointing. A special anniversary experience that I had planned a month in advance ended up being ruined due to poor planning and customer service. Maia needs to do better. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business.

I went just wanting a trim with long layers (you can see how long my hair was in the picture below). The hairstylist and I agreed on taking off an INCH, which she showed me the length with her fingers, and I thought to myself- wow that's not even a lot off! As she was cutting my hair though- I noticed that my hair was near my SHOULDERS! I even said something and looked scared and the hairdresser just told me "oh it looks short but when you stand up it will be long. (SPOILER: she had no idea what she was doing and cut off 5 inches of my beautiful long hair). Then I paid extra for a blowout, and once again, the hairdresser had NO IDEA what she was doing. I have naturally curly hair, so it takes more effort to blow out my hair straight. However, she wasn't even using the correct tools at ALL. She was using a regular square brush, and a regular blow dryer (with no attachments on it). So basically there was no tension at all, and my hair was SO frizzy. I was sitting there for NO JOKE 2 hours, almost falling asleep in my chair, as her method of "blowout" clearly isn't good. When she was done, my hair was still WET underneath, and looked like absolute SHIT (pic below). I was so shocked at my hair. The owner Lisa walked by and said "oh it looks so good!" , which as the owner, she should have seen what a hot mess it was and tried to fix it. Needless to say, I still had to pay for the cut and "blowout" (even though I didn't even get a real blowout)! The last picture is my TODAY. I was getting a Brazilian blowout at another salon, and my hairdresser there looks at my hair and laughs and says "who cut your hair?" And I told them "mirragio" and she said "it looks like shit! Let me take a picture for you" and took the picture below. I was HORRIFIED. It is so jagged and uneven and I am so embarrassed to be walking around like this! Overall, do NOT go here! This salon is empty for a reason they have NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF! (The only one who knows what she is doing is the nice lady who washes hair!!).
