I've visited the studio for yoga classes a few different times and my experiences have improved over time from a class perspective. In the physical studio, I find a hard time relaxing. There isn't a defined waiting area separate from the class space (it flows together). Because of this, during meditation or savasana people will be entering for the next class. With doors opening/closing, people talking and general noise that personally takes me out of the zone. They also catch noise from somewhere adjacent that sounds like a piano music class. However, I can sympathize that that's out of their control. I also had a class where the instructor had everyone go around the room stating any injuries/physical limitations. Many people find yoga due to physical limitations and it was very awkward. I believe those conversations should stay between instructor and student since everyone is on a different journey and doesn't always want everyone to know. They have a wonderful location and it's never terribly hard to find free parking in Tremont. I've also met some nice people and appreciate the non-competitive atmosphere. I have heard great things about their massage and other services and I would look forward to visiting one of those! read more

I don't attend a lot of classes. I tend to practice at home. But I do recommend this studio. The instructors are very nice and welcoming, which is important to me. I like the windows but also that no one can really see in. There could be more of a waiting room--I tend to wait outside of the building until I'm more comfortable that the class before me is over instead of hovering. Plenty of street parking. When our self-quarantine is over, this would be something great to get back to! read more

I found Studio 11 on a trip to Cleveland a couple of years ago when I was practicing yoga very regularly. I was impressed by the profound level of compassion that is palpable in the room there. The teachers are wonderful, and the classes are challenging both physically and mentally, but to a seasoned practitioner, they weren't particularly difficult. Perhaps what was most impressive to me was that after having only been there a couple of times, I returned after a year while I was in town again. The teacher greeted me BY NAME, and welcomed me. I felt like I was part of the community, even though I can only make it there occasionally. Also, last summer I went to a Saturday morning class when they had live drumming and chanting, and it was breathtaking. Well, not really, since yoga relies so much on breath. But it was magical. I got actual chills, as I sensed these full, vibrant, life-giving sounds wafting out of the little flat iron building into Tremont. I'm not being cheesy. It was that awesome. read more

I have passed this place hundreds of times and never thought I would be there for a Yoga class, until I was. Everyone was very polite. Marsha is an amazing woman and got us in and rolling very quick. I was greeted and felt at home almost instantly. For 33$ you can get a 3wk unlimited pass, which is a good deal. It was a 14$ drop-in fee. I personally feel I get a better outcome doing Yoga at home on my own, but if I were to go to a class, it would be here. It is in a quiet, out of the way place. No outside noise, or any other distractions. read more

Been here a handful of times for yoga and one class called skinny b*tch lol. I hear they have thai yoga massage now also which i fell in love with when I visited Thailand. Think of deep tissue massage along with assisted yoga to really enhance those deep stretches (ask for tieu) All the instructors I had were so nice, amenable to all levels of yoga. Loved at the end of yoga class they give the scented oil and face massage. The last class I took was not particularly challenging for me but they have such a large variety of classes on their schedule it will not deter me from returning. Have to look for street parking but hey if you are going to work out don't give a hissy fit if you have to walk a block or two. Am I right or am I right?! read more

Yay Studio 11. Yay for me getting to roll out of bed and walk a block and a half to go to Yoga! But it's worth making the trip to Tremont, because the feel in this studio is so welcoming. My friend introduced me to the studio, as well as to many instructors, and now the ones whose classes I frequent greet me by name. So nice! I have gone to the following classes: Shanna's Monday night Kripalu class (focused, powerful breathing and meditation along with intense stretching and strengthening - not sure if that's the definition of "Kripalu" but that's what I've experienced) Tiiu's Pilates sessions downstairs - they are awesome, and I had never done Pilates before and now go often! She is a lot of fun and you feel it in your core for like 3 days afterward! Deanna's "Skinny Bitch" workout on Saturday mornings (sometimes this class is with other people; for example, Meg teaches it for this month b/c Deanna is tending to her family's apple orchard in Iowa). This class is so much fun, a hybrid of yoga, dance, martial arts, and a Biggest-Loser-esque workout without Jillian yelling in your face. Meg's class last week was a basic, but challenging, yoga class without the other stuff usually in "Skinny Bitch," but I still got a major upper-body workout. They are also always introducing new classes, like a kids' introductory self-defense class (and one for women too), Capoeira, and Carib-Funk. Something for everyone. This studio has its regulars, and it's a great feeling to be new to a city and a neighborhood and have people say hi to you. I go here at least once a week. read more

I am obsessed with the beautiful color of yellow the walls are painted. I've done two pilates classes, I am a student of both yoga and pilates and I love that this studio offers both at convenient times. I did the unlimited three weeks for $33, which is genius to let newcomers try out all they can, it will keep me coming back thats for sure. I forsee myself going to this studio for a very long time! read more

studio 11 is the neighborhood studio for tremont. i've taken a few of the different classes offered here, and out of convenience and variety of classes you can take here, studio 11 gets my seal of approval. all different levels of experience are welcomed. i started with the modern dance classes with megan on monday nights. she teaches a solid beginners or slower paced dance class for those curious. for those of you with a bit more experience, you can also take the other classes offered on tuesdays or saturdays. if your curiosity is provoked, you can also try one of the hip hop classes offered on thursdays. they are a lot of fun, using great music and making you think you could win any dance off in any of those tween dance flicks with julia styles. better yet- you are julia styles. only cooler. cuz you're you. i've taken some of the yoga classes as well, both with denys and marcia. denys packs a lot of energy into the short lunch time yoga power hour. a bit cleansing meditation, a bit vinyasa style, your body is guided through each moment with a driving momentum leaving you energized and rejuvenated for the rest of your day. marcia's hatha class on thursday is great too- a relaxed, focused practice with an intensity and release through each posture. a great class. there are still a bunch of other classes to take with an onslaught of other teachers, including tiiu, the studio owner, shanna, and a few others. if classes aren't your thing but you're still needing that release, i think they do cleanses, massages, and i think they occasionally do drum circles, too. that's right, chach, drum circles. the space itself is really great. really inviting, really warm, really peaceful. the upstairs studio is a great dance space. i haven't taken any classes downstairs yet, but from glances downstairs it seems along the same lines. i love having studio 11 in the neighborhood. it offers a lot, and seems to change out schedules every so often for variety. try out one of the classes. i promise you won't be disappointed. and if you are, hug it out. on a tree. :) read more

Studio 11 offers an awesome yoga experience. The instructors are very knowledgeable and love teaching. The $33 new student pass good for unlimited yoga for 3 weeks is definitely a great way to try out different classes and instructors. Their monthly passes are reasonably priced too considering that they offer classes every day of the week and at various times every day. They also usually have a 3 month pass for 2 months' price promotion going on which is a great deal. I really like the fact that most instructors at Studio 11 emphasizes the spiritual aspect of yoga and do not treat yoga as a mere weight-loss exercise. Many instructors are massage therapists and/or chant artists themselves. They also offer great Pilates classes as well. I think yoga and Pilates complement each other very well. I really need Pilates for core strength to go with my yoga practice. The studio is gorgeous and spacious (2 floors). It's located in the 100-year-old Lemko building right by Lincoln Park in Tremont. Great yoga studio! I got a groupon for a 10-class pass and I've tried out a few different classes. I like to do vinyasa flow yoga and I've done it with Laurie, Kelly, Deanna, and Erica. All the instructors were excellent, super friendly, and had their own unique style. They were all very accepting and made sure that you practiced at your own level without judgment. The classes had a good mix of strengthening/challenging poses as well as stretching. They also do a nice little neck massage at the end during shavasana. I really enjoy yoga as it helps me get a work out, clear my mind, and de-stress. And having great teachers who are welcoming with a passion for yoga is key. Studio 11 is one of my favorite yoga/pilates studios in the Cleveland area. I've been to many, many, many others in NEO+ but this is definitely in my top three. The studio is in the historic Tremont neighborhood in a building, the Lemko building to be exact, that is over 100 years old. It's within walking distance of bunches of other places so after class you can eat or shop or just go relax on the square in the grass. Every single teacher I have met has had a warm and welcoming energy. Not only do the classes challenge but the teachers are supportive and kind. I was gifted a 60 minute thai yoga massage here so I enjoyed my time but I think it's really pricey and I probably wouldn't pay to come here on my own. My masseuse seemed really nice but I expected the massage to be more relaxing and I didn't feel like I was really getting that. It was a nice stretching session, but not a pampering afternoon. Inside there is one room with a divider separating the two small areas where you got your massage. This means that the other person can hear you when you arrive and you can hear them when they're done so that sort of breaks up the calming experience, but wasn't a huge deal for me. Still, overall, I didn't feel as relaxed as I would have liked to after the experience. read more

I have been to Studio 11 twice. First time was for a Thia Massage by Lisa Ackim. She does amazing work with her massages. Today I received an hour of Reiki by Lisa. Her Reiki sessions are just as great at her Thia Massage! Thank you Lisa for the great work that you do. read more

I love this studio. The instructors and fellow yogis are very relaxed. The environment allows you to focus on your own practice (I started as an absolute beginner) without being distracted by more advanced classmates. The main space is beautiful, it truly allows you to relax (think super high ceilings with beautiful detail). Check out Deny's and Laurie's classes for sure. They also offer wonderful Pilates classes (I find them challenging... in a good way) - and Thai Yoga massage (which I have not tried yet). read more

I've done their 3 week pass and their individual classes; the ones with Orva on Sunday are my favorite! She's very patient and it's deep stretching classes for less flexible people like me. i take pilates and yoga classes at studio 11. the building is just beautiful. the main room, where most of the yoga classes take place, is just wonderful. it feels good to do yoga in that space. pilates classes held down stairs in a cozy, warm fully-finished basement. tiiu, the owner, is very friendly and a great teacher. there have been very few classes at studio 11 that i've left feeling dissatisfied. i highly recommend it. read more
