Front room, merchandise area

When I walked in the door, everything about this place resonated with me. I love the aroma of incense, the super cool floor, being barefoot, great merchandise, the zen gardens, the low lights throughout the place, the earth toned colors everywhere. I really enjoyed the meditation and the instructor. There were so many options to to choose from to make my own experience inviting and comfortable; from the woven blankets, firm meditation pillows, super cool (lean back) meditation chairs to regular puffy sitting chairs with arm rests. There was no right or wrong, no judging. My instructor dude was super cool (brown, curly hair - sorry don't remember his name) and the crystal bowl was uh-mazing! CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. ITS FANTASTIC! I would say there's only 2 things they need to improve on #1) When I arrived, the lights were off, no one was inside. I was getting ready to leave a guy came in and said there's probably staff in the back doing classes. He said they unlock the doors at class time. If it wasn't for that guy, I would've left and thought maybe I had the wrong day/time and my 45 minute drive was a waste. #2) Their website and voicemail: I found their website a bit overwhelming, too much/not enough info, etc. I am the type of person who likes to speak with a live person (not voicemail) and reserve a service with a live person (not online). So trying to figure out the difference between the services they offer AND the difference between instructors, I found myself in a wormhole going from page to page and back again AND then finding a time that works... ugh just as painful as doing my taxes. Surprisingly, I stumbled upon this free meditation night. So maybe it was meant to happen this way. Either way, now that I've been there....I am signing up for many more classes and events. GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. ITS FANTASTIC!

I am so loyal to The Studio. I love it here and will tell anyone who will listen how special it is. As I've said before, on vibes alone, this is indisputably the most beautiful studio in Northeast Ohio. They infuse personality into their space through an amazing crystals selection, endless Buddhas and Ganeshas and beautiful colors. It means a lot to me to practice in a space that has warm and inviting energy. Practicing yoga in cold and impersonal places doesn't work for me. It is also VERY hard to find Yin classes around Northeast Ohio. What is up with that?! The Studio has a Yin class *almost* every night, which I am so grateful for. Advanced hot power vinyasa is just NOT my thing and you don't have to practice that type of yoga here if you don't want to. Yin yoga is a slower, stretching based yoga about mind-body connection. Jen and Shannon have been both incredible teachers to practice Yin with. I was fearful of yoga for a long time and Jen truly has helped me in a way I cannot describe. I absolutely love that they are on ClassPass. I have physical limitations and go through ebbs and flows of when I am able to workout versus when I cannot. Because they are on ClassPass I am able to attend when I can. Overall, I cannot recommend The Studio enough to anyone brand new to yoga or looking for classes that aren't terrifying.

I finally visited Callies Pilates on 21 March 2024. It's located inside the 'Metropolitan at the 9'…read morehotel in downtown Cleveland. Keeping that in mind, free street parking will be difficult to find. PARKING -- I arrived downtown 10 mins early but I could not find street parking (rather, I did not have the time to find it) and I didn't want to park in a garage. I ended up using valet parking at the hotel which is $15 because Callies Pilates will give you a parking voucher which you will hand over to a valet parking staff member. Normally, valet parking at the hotel is $20. I would have spent less if I parked at a garage but I was pressed for time. You can pay by using a debit or credit card. After your first class, the studio will give you a parking pass to out on your dashboard to park for free at a parking lot between Bolivar Street and E. 9th street. The lot can only be used if there are not sport games or events happening on that day. REFORMER PILATES -- I took a reformer pilates class which is done on a reformer machine. I absolutely loved the class especially because the last time I was on a reformer was years ago at a fitness studio in Columbus, Ohio. The machine uses springs and straps tied to the machine to allow a pilates student to stand or lay down while performing different exercises. If you're unsure about reformer pilates, don't worry, it's alot of fun. The instructor will obviously guide you through the whole class format. Compared to regular pilates that is done on a yoga mat where your body weights is used as resistance, reformer pilates is a bit more challenging because of the extra weight exerted on your body from the straps/strings of the reformer machine. The class is small and intimate with 5 reformer machines available for use. There were 5 people total in the class that I attended, including myself. The instructor that I had, Stephanie J., was great. She started talking casually to a member who was in the class which caught me off guard at first and it was slightly distracting but eventually, I started having a conversation as well with Stephanie. I realised that this was the culture of the class and no one seemed bothered by it. While the price of a single reformer pilates class is quite hefty at $35 per class, it was worth it (although $25 sounds more reasonable). I'm sure there are alot of factors that go into price. I already have a current fitness regiment so I won't be returning to the studio anytime soon plus I don't have the budget for it right now but I highly recommend a reformer class. I wish I could take this class 2-3 times a week. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 20/150 total reviews in 2024 - 670 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on Saturday, 20 April 2024

I normally don't write reviews, even when service is poor. But this experience was truly the worst,…read moreand I'm still shocked that a place like this exists. DO NOT go here. This place is straight-up racist, especially instructor Brianna DeFeo. I've been doing Pilates for 3 years and have never had issues communicating or participating in class, including my first two sessions at this studio. English isn't my first language, but I understand and follow instructions just fine. Everything went smoothly at first. Then I took a class with Brianna DeFeo. She barely acknowledged me, didn't give proper guidance, and spent most of the class chatting and laughing with two white women. It already felt like I didn't belong. Later that day, I suddenly received a message saying I could no longer attend group classes due to a "language barrier" and "for the instructor's safety." But during class, there was nothing wrong - other than the three of them chatting and laughing the whole time. So I called to ask, and was told that Brianna and the two women had raised a complaint. The supervisor then told me that because of that, I would no longer be allowed to join group sessions. The way they handled it was not only unprofessional, but also deeply disappointing. This studio clearly doesn't welcome non-white, non-native English speakers. The environment was cliquey, and I definitely felt an unspoken sense of exclusion. If you're not part of their circle, don't expect to be treated fairly. Avoid this place. And do not take a class with Brianna DeFeo. She's unprofessional, disengaged, and plays favorites.

Marsha is an amazing woman and got us in and rolling very quick. I was greeted and felt at home almost instantly. For 33$ you can get a 3wk unlimited pass, which is a good deal. It was a 14$ drop-in fee. I personally feel I get a better outcome doing Yoga at home on my own, but if I were to go to a class, it would be here. It is in a quiet, out of the way place. No outside noise, or any other distractions.

I've visited the studio for yoga classes a few different times and my experiences have improved…read moreover time from a class perspective. In the physical studio, I find a hard time relaxing. There isn't a defined waiting area separate from the class space (it flows together). Because of this, during meditation or savasana people will be entering for the next class. With doors opening/closing, people talking and general noise that personally takes me out of the zone. They also catch noise from somewhere adjacent that sounds like a piano music class. However, I can sympathize that that's out of their control. I also had a class where the instructor had everyone go around the room stating any injuries/physical limitations. Many people find yoga due to physical limitations and it was very awkward. I believe those conversations should stay between instructor and student since everyone is on a different journey and doesn't always want everyone to know. They have a wonderful location and it's never terribly hard to find free parking in Tremont. I've also met some nice people and appreciate the non-competitive atmosphere. I have heard great things about their massage and other services and I would look forward to visiting one of those!

It's easy to locate off such a main drag. If you're not from the area, be prepared to give yourself extra time for parking. There is no dedicated parking lot, but rather free street parking on surrounding blocks. It's worth it to arrive early just for peace of mind you can find a spot and not be rushed while parallel parking. I wouldn't recommend it as a spot to super last minute book a class. I've attended a few yoga classes and had a wonderful experience. I continuously meet inviting and engaging teachers that actually understand the type of yoga they're teaching. The class sizes are intentionally small and extremely low-pressure. That type of environment alone is enough to make me want to return. Its genuinely a relaxed, supportive atmosphere that meets you where you're at. As someone with physical limitations, I always feel comfortable here and never feel pressured to be something I'm not.

I visited Be Fitness on October 21, 2025 for a 5am Reformer Pilates class, which is doing Pilates…read moreon the Reformer machine. Call me crazy for waking up so early but why not? LOL. BOOKING CLASSES -- Use their website. I had a ClassPass membership back then so I used my ClassPass credits to book the Reformer class. As of the writing of this review, in July 2026, BeFitness is no longer on ClassPass so guests will need to buy a single class package or a membership directly from BeFitness. A friend told me that they got rid of their Class Pass contract a while ago now. (Side-note: ClassPass is an app that allows members to book classes at different fitness studios and have the option to also access gyms and spas across various cities). REFORMER CLASS -- Anyone that has done a Reformer class knows that it is challenging, especially at 5am. The instructor was good because she provided understandable cues of what to do for each move/exercise. The instructor was enthusiastic as well. Having now taken other Reformer Pilates classes at a different Pilates studio in Avon and Bay Village, I definitely do not think the Reformer Pilates class at Be Fitness was as hard as the others that I've taken elsewhere. Nonetheless, I still recommend BeFitness if you live in the area and are looking for a beginner and intermediate friendly class. The Reformer Pilates class that I took at a different studio was a more advanced class. TIP (Reformer Pilates) -- The good thing about Reformer Pilates is that you can always adjust the resistance straps to increase or decrease the amount of resistance (weight) that you are pulling. SERVICE -- I remember the check-in process being smooth when I entered and the front desk woman greeted me (she was also the instructor). Overall, I enjoyed the Reformer Pilates class. Similar to many fitness studios, they sometimes have deals/sales so join their email list or visit them on social media to stay informed with current discounts. I joined the Cleveland area YMCA a month after visiting BeFitness so I most likely won't be back to BeFitness since the YMCA offers a ton of fitness classes in addition to a full gym, pool, sauna, etc. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 151/250 total reviews in 2026 - 992 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 July 2026
