I had just ordered my door and thought it would be available to be stained real soon. The sales team at the door place forgot to mention that ordering doors is a multi-month ordeal. Paintmasters educated me on the process of new doors, installing them, staining them, etc. The people I talked with there were friendly and funny and never gave me the sense that I was a pain. Finally, the door arrived. The next day I was down at Paintmaster's office to get my door stained the exact tint and color I wanted. With the help of a painter, I described the color, he showed me some examples, and he made the exact (I mean that, no compromise or settling) door I wanted to spend my money on. Customer service couldn't be better than it is here, and to top that off, the work is beautiful quality, too.

He was not able to repair it, but he patiently answered my questions and explained my options (leave it or have a painter fill the cracks with elastomeric caulk and then paint the whole thing. I was impressed with Sergio's willingness to spend time with me explaining things even though he would not get a job out of it. I wish I'd known about Finest Kind Plastering before, I would have loved to have hired out my stucco job to a company that does things right!

So I'd like to point out the this company made me take down my original 1 star review in order to…read moregive me a fair price on the services provided. Very shady. They fixed a crack in our siding 4 months ago and were a nightmare to work with. They didn't provide any paperwork to show what they did and how much the services were going to be, they just left and I had to call them back. When I told them this, the owner and receptionist both flipped out and put a pre-lien on my house BEFORE GIVING AN INVOICE. They probably freaked out because they knew I was right and they were just trying to scare me. The receptionist also said she looked me up on Facebook and told me I was pretty but a "piece of work". After complaining to Homeadvisor, where I found them, and threatening to call the CA Licensing Board they finally gave me an invoice at a fair price and removed the lien on my house. Becky finally apologized after everything was said and done, saying she was just really stressed out. I don't care how stressed out you are, there is NO EXCUSE for anyone acting so disrespectful and childish toward a paying customer. Fast forward to now, our AC unit went out. Come to find out, they messed with the disconnect box and screwed directly into the box causing it to arc and trip the breaker (aka metal on metal is not good). The HVAC guy said they would've immediately known something was wrong but made a conscious decision not to fix it. Oh and they also said the stucco would eventually match the existing color of the house once it dried. It's been 4 months (pretty sure it's dry now) and it's still much darker than our original stucco... Thanks for making our experience with you as horrible as possible. After dragging us through the mud with your liens and stalking and threatening, you also screwed up our AC during the hottest summer we've had in years. This company should have their license taken away.

Rick, the owner, arrived right on time at 8 a.m. to walk through approximately ten different projects I needed completed. These included hardwiring six smoke detectors, removing an old whole-house vacuum system and capping the PVC pipe, replacing caulking around my kitchen sink, shower, and bathtub, cleaning and maintaining our whole-house fan, replacing a faulty dimmer switch, and repairing and painting rotted wood on an outdoor shed and a bathroom baseboard. Rick took incredibly detailed notes and sent me a thorough estimate that same afternoon. The pricing was very fair, and after I approved the estimate, he called to let me know they could begin the following Monday. Jason arrived promptly at 8 a.m. Monday morning. Although I hadn't met him before, he immediately put me at ease by walking through every item on the list to confirm exactly what needed to be done. He was organized, professional, and got right to work, including picking up supplies and matching paint colors. I felt completely comfortable leaving for work while he worked on the house. When I returned that afternoon, I honestly couldn't even tell anyone had been there! Not a speck of dust, no mess, and no evidence of the amount of work that had been completed. Everything was left spotless. On Tuesday, Logan arrived to finish the last couple of painting details. Before wrapping up, he took the time to walk through the completed projects with me to make sure I was happy with everything. When I returned home, every item was finished, everything was clean, and the house was securely locked. What impressed me most was the exceptional communication and attention to detail between Rick and his employees. There was absolutely no disconnect between what I discussed with the owner and what his team actually completed. Every detail had been documented and communicated. At one point, I even thought a small item might have been overlooked, but Jason checked his notes, and sure enough, it was already on the list! It's refreshing to find a company where the owner and employees are equally professional, punctual, organized, and genuinely committed to doing a great job.
