I'd love to give this place 0 stars. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!
My partner and I were invited to a wedding at the last minute ( last night, wedding is tomorrow) We realize my partners suit needs tailoring so call Stuart Suits to see if it is possible to have it tailored with a 24hour turn around. The guy on the phone tells me it can be done if we get the suit there before noon but there will be a higher charge because of the rush.
When I asked for a rough price he says $75 - I thought this was pretty cheap so I asked if this included hemming the pants, taking the suit in where it needs to be and basically getting it fitted, and I was assured that it did.
After confirming with my partner I call the store back to let them know he was coming and the person who answered the phone had no idea what I was talking about, they asked me to wait and then came back and said "no worries it's all sorted that's fine, when should we expect him?" I told him in about an hour.( 11 am) - he took his name down and I even spelled it for him.
My partner gets there at 11 and they have no idea who he is and claim to not know anything about him coming in. (Clearly no communication!!! After I talked to 2 separate people about it!) They tell him to put the suit on (over his sweater!!) and then tell him it fits well (it's way too big) they then blow him off and tell him they're too busy!!!!!! They palm him off to the person they'd have outsourced to anyway.
When he gets to the alterations place they pin the suit up everywhere (needed a lot to be done to be fitted properly, so clearly did not "fit well" like stuart suits said) and the cost came to $250!!!! That's a far cry from the $75 initial quote from Stuart Suits!!! they said they didn't know why he would have been quoted that and gave him a 10% discount because they felt bad for him!
I will never use Stuart Suits and will be sure to warn everyone I know to stay away from them!! What a waste of our time! I might also add my partner had to leave work to do this so it was a lot more running around than he planned on when leaving work for an extended lunch!! So incredibly rude! read more
