Second, talk about a small world. After finding out one particular result of a conversation we had about HUD was so very, very accurate, I glanced at her Instagram page and saw a familiar face. I thought I was imagining it at first. It turned out that she'd taken a photo with my Realtor who was responsible for me buying the condo I did. Talk about Chicago being so big and so small at the same time. Considering what I know of the months-long work with my Realtor, these two networking together makes absolute sense. Third, without me asking her to, she made an introduction to an incredibly kind and informative attorney (who I will rate later) who could help me with HOA/COA needs. If I hadn't talked to her, I'm fairly certain it may have taken me much longer to find this other attorney because (for whatever reason) he wasn't on my original search list. Did not know that, and it was not disclosed until when the time came to show up in court, and she did not, someone else filled in for her, because of Covid. This was the very early stages of the pandemic and the virtual hearings were not set up yet. The lawyer that showed up, went in to the judges chambers with my ex-wife's lawyer, and a deal was made. What?????????? A bad deal for me. Then, Kasia went on maternity leave. She was replaced with someone who yelled at me on the phone. I was billed for phone calls made to my ex-wife's lawyer. I feel that if I am billed for an official phone call, I should be part of the discussion. Just like the documents, no documents should be sent to the other lawyer without the person's signature or approval. Which they did ask for my approval for every document. I ended up with about 30K in lawyer fees, all the marital debt, and child support, well higher than what the statutory would be. The law clearly states that the ordinary medical expenses should be covered by the child support. My lawyer argued with me that it does not. 750 IL CS 5/505 clearly states: A portion of the basic child support obligation is intended to cover basic ordinary out-of-pocket medical expenses. I am left with paying 60% of co-pays and 100% of medical insurance. I am being sincere, and not saying this out of spite, but I really felt like my lawyer did not have my best interest at heart. None of the three + Maxine who were involved in my case. Stay away at all costs from this place.

I also found Ms.Larimer to be biased by her own life experiences and quite egotistical about her profession and privilege, talking about herself and her experiences constantly. She holds a lot of power in the most heart wrenching and significant moments of a parent's life but does not appreciate the weight of it, particularly if you are different from her. She needs intensive training in how to be a trauma-informed and non-biased person, especially in her work. Otherwise she is no different from any other attorney who does not care and just wants $$$. Her recommendations have had terrible repercussions for my child that continue to this very day. On top of everything, she is so expensive it becomes unfeasible to actually work through issues because she's charges you so much for absolutely everything. The lawyer kept me there for a whole…read morehour so he could bill me $400 while enlightening me with Fox News talking points but not one time were the words "hold harmless" mentioned. I never received a copy of the hold harmless agreement and only after two emails and a phone call was I allowed to see the document which had been voided out ostensibly for incorrect verbiage but in actuality because it was a highly unethical money grubbing strategy to extract as much money as possible from me. This firm will only look out for their own best interest and not the clients. Buyer beware indeed!
