Essentially, the owners above me had issues with their HVAC system, causing water damage to my ceiling. Since I have little faith in property management companies, I went to Alisa for a second opinion and to understand my rights regarding the IL Condo Association Law. She identified several items where the property management company led our board association in the wrong direction. Alisa also reasoned to why my current property management company provided an incorrect initial assessment regarding the HVAC system/water damage. Alisa communicated promptly using Yelp messaging and accepted payment via Zelle for the consultation fee. Perhaps it's because Alisa is quite busy, but looking into a more robust scheduling system or accounting platform would help manage clients, because there was a decent amount of back and forth to just get the consultation setup. Perhaps due to this situation's rapid escalation, there was some anxiety around the situation due to the response time, but this is why many people reach out to lawyers?
