Plush Comfortable Seating , Full Service Bar and Grill , HD Projection Screens everywhere. Game Zone for the kids! The staff super nice and very accommodating. Just came today and was league night. Which is great and all however, when I asked what night is best to come, basically said maybe Wednesday or Friday can bowl. The rest of the days are Leagues playing and now available lanes for even local residents. Completely ridiculous. read more

Hubby & Teen Boys have come several times for Guys Night that always end with great stories. We did a big Family Night recently with Inlaws & Cousins. Great experience. The Staff was attentative and pleasant. The Facility was super clean. I noticed an Employee cleaning each ball as people left lanes and swiping some down from the middle stacks. We did have one lane shut down but an Employee quickly arrived, got it corrected & added time to their lane that was lost. There is a bar & food area. We only ordered beer buckets and a few fries. They do offer a video game section, we didn't try anything out. There is a VIP bowling area that would be great for birthdays or an adult group night. Overall, a fun night! read more

My husband and I took our 21 year old son and 70 year old mom here when we visited from out of town. It's the only bowling lane I have ever been to that actually has couches on the lane. Bowling is great for building arm strength and great for all ages. Really glad this place was close by to build our family reunion in 100 degree heat - inside- with air conditioning- We hope to have grandchildren and make it a continued family event. I was here with my girlfriend and two of her friends from Alabama that were visiting. I was told my GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID was fake. By not only the bar tender but the manager JOHN WILDER along with the security on staff at STYX on the night of 7-5-2024. NO ONE BOTHERED USING BLACKLIGHT OR SCAN TO VERIFY MY ID WAS REAL. The manager went into a story about how he's had 6 fake alabamA IDS pass through in the last week. How could you know they're fake after you said and I quote "WE DONT HAVE BLACK LIGHT HERE"? (There are black lights in the lanes) I can't understand how a business selling alcohol legally doesn't have a way to verify if an ID is real or not. No attempts were even made to verify the validity of the ID. He accused one of my girlfriends OUT OF TOWN friends of being there earlier in the week. He made multiple attempts to threaten us with the police. We encouraged him to alert the police so we could reach resolve, yet he never contacted them, most likely because the police would've been able to show that the ID was in fact real and that he was discriminating against us for his own reasons. We spent 80 dollars on unlimited bowling, 20 bucks at the arcade, 26 dollars in food (only to find out later that they didn't even bother putting in the food order but still took our money). The security told me "don't tell me you think this is happening because you're black", which only added more to my being offended since I never even brought race into this, I only wanted to know how they came to the conclusion that my ID is fake. We weren't even in the establishment for an hour. We left without a refund only due to JOHN WILDER beginning to verbally attack my girlfriend. We left to avoid escalation that could endanger anyone's safety. We did nothing but spend money since we came through the door only to be robbed of our food, time, and money. To patron a business only to be accused of committing what is a FELONY in the state of Florida is insane. What's more insane is that you hold a liquor license yet can't verify if an ID is real or not. I don't know the prejudices of the owner or staff, all I know FOR A FACT is that I was robbed of my money spent and accused of committing a crime with no such evidence even being presented. Whatever reason they had not to serve me wasn't related to my very real GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID. No one was threatened, no property was damaged. If you support bigotry and random acts of hatred then this is the bowling alley for you. And if they don't like you they will make active attempts to lie, villainize you, and rob you. I WILL BE FILING A CLAIM WITH THE BBB ALONG WITH TAKING CIVIL ACTION. YOU CAN LIE ALL YOU WANT BUT THE INCIDENT IS ALL ON FOOTAGE AND IM GONNA LOVE TO HEAR YOU EXPLAIN HOW YOU RUN A BAR WITHOUT AN OFFICIAL WAY OF VERIFYING ID. I went to Stuart Bowl and was refused service, robbed, and told our government documentation was unofficial without anyone verifying it. With that being said, If you are black or a minority, do not bowl here. It started as an extremely great time until we wanted to order drinks from the bar. It began with the older lady at the bar who REFUSED to take My boyfriend's ID because it was from Alabama. Unfortunately, the untrained older female bartender was unfamiliar with a non-driver identification card from another State. The highly unprofessional manager John Wilder and the security guard at Styx got involved. Unfortunately, John Wilder showed us his lack of professionalism. He refused to verify the ID with a black light or via scan. Expectedly frustrated we simply and respectfully asked for a refund for our food order that was placed as soon as we started bowling since we never received it. Come to find out the older women working the bar never even placed our FOOD order. Mind you the food order was placed prior to us even thinking about getting a drink from the bar. John Wilder then stated that he would give us a refund since our food order was never even placed. John Wilder then continued to show us his unprofessional by antagonizing and insisting that the ID in his opinion was fake without ANY efforts to verify the ID AT ALL. He also continued to with his Microaggression stating that he knows for a fact that he seen my friend there the other night. Mind you we have NEVER been to Stuart Bowl in our lives, and will PROUDLY never return. Unfortunately with John Wilder continuing to completely disregard and disrespect us he sure did get the best of me and I raised my voice at John Wilder requesting that he stop attempting to argue, with us over his false accusations. After I raised my voice he yelled at me stating that he would not give us a refund for our food anymore and threatened to call the police. Also to top it all off the only person who mentioned anything about race was the security guard. He stated and I completely quote word for word "please don't tell me you think this is happing because you are black". Mind you no one said anything about race until he stated the obvious. We were looking to have a great time post 4th of July after my friends traveled down from Alabama. Unfortunately John Wilder and Stuart bowl robbed us of a great Friday Night, stole our money and instead traumatized us with their prejudices, racism, unprofessional, and refusal of service. We were able to get a lane right away around 12 noon on May 5th...no reservation required. The downside is that there's no practice allowed; I think 5 mins would be helpful to check out the lanes and see how much oil is dressed on the lanes etc...people on either side of us did not have any bowling etiquette and got up on the lanes when they felt like it..that's not the bowling alley's fault but I'm putting it out there...please folks, don't get up on the lane until the person next to you has started down to the foul line. Didn't like the fact that tables were obviously removed near the lanes either; now that everything has pretty much gone digital that includes bowling alleys too..wasn't exactly user friendly signing in to get the games started. Not very enjoyable when things are taken away now...I'll search for alternative alleys. read more

I never write bad reviews but after the bad experience me and my friends had last night I felt the need to write one. This bowling alley is pretty expensive for bowling, the staff wasn't very nice and we had to pay hourly, so if you don't finish your game when the hour was up.... you don't get to finish unless you pay more money for the lane to reset. I understand workers are being over worked and places are short staffed because I have a job too, but if you are at your job that is a place where the public comes in to have a good time....I would at least expect the staff to be nice. I was looking forward to bowling here because I have heard great things, but ended up walking away very disappointed. Not to mention it was my friend's birthday and we wanted them to at least shout him out over the intercom. My husband and I come bowling here multiple a times a week as we bowl in a few leagues. Our main league is on Thursday nights and it is always a good experience. We are always taken care of by Tammy. She is attentive and knows our order so we don't even have to ask anymore. This is a fun place to come for date night too! A decent bowling alley with very fair bowling prices and even better specials. The facility itself is large and accommodating for a fun night out of bowling. There are tv screens all along where the bowling pins are, as well as up above, closer to where bowlers sit. Great for following the games on NFL Sunday. Also great is the Sunday Penny-a-Pin bowling special: you pay a penny per each pin you knock over (which is when my group was there). Although the games are cheap, this bowling alley also seems to reflect "you get what you pay for". When I was there, it was raining outside, and both the tv service and internal music went out for a good amount of time. We rented 2 lanes, one of which constantly had problems re-setting the pins. We had to manually reset them for all of our games. There also seemed to be a shortage of bowling balls available, which isn't a good sign for when the alley might be busy; I was there during slow hours and still had trouble finding the right size bowling ball. The facilities and building is nice. It seems very new inside, as well as clean. I didn't order any food or beverage, but there are plenty of tables to sit at. The bowlers' area for each lane is comfortable, with plenty of space to hold your belongings and comfortable couches to sit at while you wait for your turn. I wouldn't mind going back to bowl. UPDATED REVIEW since the situation escalated: I wanted to share my experience at Stuart Bowl tonight and just a heads up to any families this may apply to, with food allergies or special needs children. A little background, my 3 year old has allergies so I bring her epi pen, food and her own water bottle anywhere I go. We were also with my brother who is 7 years old, severely autistic and he's very particular on certain things and that includes the water bottles he drinks out of. I walked into Stuart lanes with my family from out of town and the second I walked in a girl named Alexxus saw me holding my daughters water bottle in hand and told me we couldn't have any outside beverages so I explained it was my daughters and she's 3 and has allergies. I have an epi pen and everything for her and I can explain to a manger if she'd like. She told me there was no manager there (on a Saturday night) and continued to argue with me about the situation. She told me because of their beer and liquor license they could not make any exceptions, that this rule even applies to baby bottles. My mother asked this question considering I'm 7 months pregnant with my 3rd and good to know my baby's bottles also will NOT be welcome at Stuart Bowl. Alexxus eventually let us in and pay for our bowling game. We bowled two turns each before she walked back over with another employee and notified us she spoke with her manager and her manager named Tammy told her over the phone that we could not have the childrens water bottles, no exceptions. I asked her why she would not let me speak with the manager to explain my daughters allergies (because I know that not everyone knows the implications of cross contamination or allergies themselves). She told me I could call back tomorrow and that the other manager is sleeping... long story short this just started to sound like Alexxus was on a power trip and so instead of continuing to argue I dumped out the water bottles in the trash. She then told me that wasn't good enough that the 2 kids water bottles could not be in the building and needed to be removed. She also told us she would refund us for our bowling and we could leave. The whole situation made me sick to my stomach and I felt bad for my family that I had brought there, my daughter and my brother. We opted for the refund and left. Spent a nice afternoon bowling with my wife and 8 year old son. I think this establishment was recently renovated because everything looked new and shiny. The people were very friendly and helpful, even assisting me in programming our names into the computer and helping my little guy find a suitable ball. We drove 30 miles one way because the website says there is open bowling during the day. When we arrived at noon, we were informed that there were only 5 lanes available for open bowling on Friday because they were waiting for 3 leagues to start. The 5 lanes were being used at the time and were not possibly going to be open for another 30 minutes to an hour. We asked if they could reserve the next open bowling lane for us because of the wait and they refused saying that we needed 20 people to reserve a lane. What does that mean? Wait around and possibly not get a lane? Poor customer service. Moral of the story: call before driving there or choose another bowling alley! We have been there several times before and were very happy. It will not be worth taking the chance of being turned away again. read more
