Stuart Bowl - Lanes & Lounge in Stuart Florida
Kathy Hyatt Realtor ®.

Have you been bowling lately? Let me share, I recently had the time of life at Stuart Bowl - Lanes and Lounge!! Gone are the days of old-school and outdated , Stuart Bowl is Vibrant , Upscale and Modern Entertainment Venue. I was blown away! Plush Comfortable Seating , Full Service Bar and Grill , HD Projection Screens everywhere. Game Zone for the kids! The staff super nice and very accommodating. We ordered drinks at the bar, there was energy at the bar with music playing in the background. Our food was delivered to our bowling lane lounge and table. The whole experience was just Excellent. Looking forward to my next trip here!

The staff is nice, we went here on a Saturday night around 8pm after a surf comp, the inside was cute I liked how the lights were dimmed and they had the neon vibe going, the food was surprisingly good for a bowling alley, I was actually shocked on how good the food was well done chefs in the back keep it up!

I was here with my girlfriend and two of her friends from Alabama that were visiting. I was told my GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID was fake. By not only the bar tender but the manager JOHN WILDER along with the security on staff at STYX on the night of 7-5-2024. NO ONE BOTHERED USING BLACKLIGHT OR SCAN TO VERIFY MY ID WAS REAL. The manager went into a story about how he's had 6 fake alabamA IDS pass through in the last week. How could you know they're fake after you said and I quote "WE DONT HAVE BLACK LIGHT HERE"? (There are black lights in the lanes) I can't understand how a business selling alcohol legally doesn't have a way to verify if an ID is real or not. No attempts were even made to verify the validity of the ID. He accused one of my girlfriends OUT OF TOWN friends of being there earlier in the week. He made multiple attempts to threaten us with the police. We encouraged him to alert the police so we could reach resolve, yet he never contacted them, most likely because the police would've been able to show that the ID was in fact real and that he was discriminating against us for his own reasons. We spent 80 dollars on unlimited bowling, 20 bucks at the arcade, 26 dollars in food (only to find out later that they didn't even bother putting in the food order but still took our money). The security told me "don't tell me you think this is happening because you're black", which only added more to my being offended since I never even brought race into this, I only wanted to know how they came to the conclusion that my ID is fake. We weren't even in the establishment for an hour. We left without a refund only due to JOHN WILDER beginning to verbally attack my girlfriend. We left to avoid escalation that could endanger anyone's safety. We did nothing but spend money since we came through the door only to be robbed of our food, time, and money. To patron a business only to be accused of committing what is a FELONY in the state of Florida is insane. What's more insane is that you hold a liquor license yet can't verify if an ID is real or not. I don't know the prejudices of the owner or staff, all I know FOR A FACT is that I was robbed of my money spent and accused of committing a crime with no such evidence even being presented. Whatever reason they had not to serve me wasn't related to my very real GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID. No one was threatened, no property was damaged. If you support bigotry and random acts of hatred then this is the bowling alley for you. And if they don't like you they will make active attempts to lie, villainize you, and rob you. I WILL BE FILING A CLAIM WITH THE BBB ALONG WITH TAKING CIVIL ACTION. YOU CAN LIE ALL YOU WANT BUT THE INCIDENT IS ALL ON FOOTAGE AND IM GONNA LOVE TO HEAR YOU EXPLAIN HOW YOU RUN A BAR WITHOUT AN OFFICIAL WAY OF VERIFYING ID. The photo is a picture of the bartender that initiated the incident.

Food and drink service is virtually nonexistent today. We're having a super time bowling but I advise you eat before you get here!

It's retro, quirky, perfectly imperfect, and totally awesome. No giant stadium distance, no pretension--just musicians and music lovers sharing the same little patch of earth. Plenty of parking nearby, whether street, an empty field, or a lot around the corner. The pizza vendor near the front was our first stop and it was pretty damn tasty! Lots of seating and tables for people to sit and enjoy the music, plus a bar full of craft beers. Due to my bad knee, this is where I ended up sitting and the view was great. My bartender Tom was fast, efficient, friendly, and guided me toward a new sour I'd never tried before but loved.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They had our table ready quickly, and we didn't even need a reservation for our party of seven, which was a nice surprise. The menu had a wide variety of craft cocktails, along with delicious appetizers, and everyone at the table loved their meals. It was one of those brunches where everything just hits right--great food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere.

When is La Grande not so Grande?…read more Been wanting to visit this classic restaurant in historic downtown Stuart since my move to Stuart. Tucked in the old Post Office Arcade building, its partially hidden walkway leading to the restaurant only adds to what lies ahead. As you enter you step into a world that speaks to a time of classic old world elegance. Antiques, elegant draping window coverings and a beautiful fountain at its center, this restaurant brings to mind what a dining experience was like in the nineteenth century. Unfortunately, the service and food sadly do not match the exquisite ambience. SERVICE : The service, or should I say lack of service was evident from our first step in the door. We waited for several minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there waiting. Once noticed, we explained that we had a 7 pm reservation which the hostess of course could not find. She scanned the restaurant (which was empty at the time) and told us she would see if she could find us a table. After several minutes we finally were seated. Another 15 minutes past before someone walked past and asked if we had been taken care of, which of course we had not. He assured us that he would get someone as soon as possible, which added another 10 minutes to our already extended wait. Eventually our "server" showed up. You'll note that I put the word server in quotes because this person was anything but a server. So as not to bore you with specifics, let's just say I have a problem calling someone a "server" who is totally incapable of serving! A person who doesn't understand "medium rare", who misses several ordered sides and charges us for dishes we never received clearly doesn't deserve the term "server". THE FOOD: There were three people in our party. For appetisers, we ordered the Martier Escargot which had a bitter taste because of the burned butter, the Blueberry Brie Crostini, which turned out to be the best dish of the evening was outstanding, and the potato goat cheese puffs were light and delightful. For our entree's, we ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon which was overcooked, dry and tasteless, the New Zealand Lamb Chasseur which was fine except for the missing asparagus (which our server assured us he would get back out and immediately forgot) and finally the 12 oz Prime New York Strip which was cooked well done instead of the medium rare requested. I do need to mention that the garlic risotto was fantastic, creamy and tasty. Unfortunately, we had to enjoy it at home as our server didn't bring it until we were completely done with our meals! As far as desserts go, after our 1 1/2 hour stay, we decided to forego any additional pain and accordingly skipped dessert. Finding our server throughout the night was a challenge of hide and seek and this includes getting our final bill which, as mentioned above, took three trips to get right! The Ambiance: This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant that cries for matching service and a creative efficient kitchen that produces dishes that represent their grand names. THE BOTTOM LINE: As with all my reviews, we come to what I like to call the "customer so what". Would I come back? The answer... as a walk through to see what elegant dining looked like in the 19th century... absolutely! Perhaps you could sit at the bar and enjoy a Manhattan but, to dine? The offerings, as mentioned, were a mixed bag but unless you're into the pain of some of the worst service you'll ever experience, absolutely not!
