I write this review as a 'mama bear' to tell parents of college Spring Breakers what we experienced using STS. A lot of parents leave their college age spring breaker to make the reservations with a lot of assumptions and lack of knowledge about the trip they just booked. I think parents need to guide their young adult to minimize assumptions and confusion about what they are paying for and what they are actually getting. I talked to STS twice after I read the travel arrangements made by my child's large group of spring breakers headed to Cancun. I found out exactly what was included, what were the procedures, how to pre- order the shuttles, what to expect for dining, what to expect with off premise excursions, and other things a mother would want to understand. For example, STS has a booth in the lobby of the Grand Oasis hotel and a representative is there on site for the kids during the whole time there are there. STS, you really should advertise this as both parents and kids would feel relieved knowing that there is someone on site if they are any problems. STS planned and organized a few off resort activities that were well organized and very much enjoyed. They have a good procedure in place for the kids to reenter the States with their Covid tests and travel docs and shuttle times all done 24 hours bf their flight at the hotel. The STS representatives I spoke to on the phone calls had good answer so there were no surprises on vacation week. STS cannot be responsible for the quality of the food at every buffet at every hour, or things of that nature, but I believe my kid was in good hands with good procedure in place for a week in Cancun. read more

If you are booking a spring break with a group they do not care if you pay the same price as everyone else, you can miss out on a full day compared to your other group members due to travel. They do not put everyone on the same flight or a flight of equal monetary value as everyone else. They do not have a care in the world for creating equitable accommodations. read more

SCAM. Please do not waste your money going through this agency. We were given many false promises, and we did not receive refunds when we did not get the services we purchased. I greatly, GREATLY regret going through STS. To specify: We purchased a $100 ticket for a booze cruise, which was scheduled for a Monday. It kept getting pushed back each day with a different excuse from Charlie each time. Finally, on Thursday, Charlie claimed that the company cancelled due to wind, yet there were many other booze cruises that took place on that same day. For those people who specifically paid for the booze cruise, we were not offered a refund. There were many rumors that the cruise was never booked, and Charlie was just coming up with excuses to avoid confrontation. It seemed that there kept being a need for more and more unnecessary purchases, and that was pushed onto the students by STS. We did not know what we were getting into nor how much money we would end up spending for nothing. In general, there was a huge lack of communication that left students lost and confused. A group of our friends were mistakenly driven to Atlantis rather than Breezes, and the two are substantially far from each other. The taxi driver took the students off the main road and stopped at an ATM along the way. You can imagine how scary this would be for a student visiting a country that they have never been to before. It was almost an intimidating atmosphere, threatening us that if we lost our little plastic wristbands that it would be a $200 charge to replace, that if we caused the slightest damage to the room it would be a $150 charge per roommate. I am 22 years old and took 9 of my other friends to Cancun over this spring break at Grand Oasis. I was worried because of some of the reviews I saw of people complaining that they didn't get their wrist bands back after losing them or missed their shuttles, etc. After going on the trip through the agency I realized that all of the poor reviews were due to people not following the directions provided by STS or just their own error in general. There were agents on site at our resort who were amazing and helped provided us with the best price to go on a boose cruise. If you are a college student and want to have a good time, STS travel was a great agency for me to send my friends and I to Mexico. Probably the scummiest people I have ever met. We purchased an all inclusive package with STS at Breezes, Bahamas. From the second we got there, STS continually tried to screw us over. We had the option to purchase a "party pass" where we essentially paid $100 per event for an open bar for 4 hours. The open bar gave us shots that were less than an ounce, and had probably 5 drink options. This is the best part. The whole reason we purchased the pass is so we could go on the booze cruise. The booze cruise was originally scheduled for the day after we arrived. It was then canceled and sent back a day. This proceeded to happen every day we were there until we left. The booze cruise, which we spent $100 on, never happened. Their excuse was weather every single day. However, upon calling the boating company, we learned that STS never even scheduled the event. They then proceeded to say it "was not their fault" and that we would be refunded $40 if we had the 4 day party pass, and no money back if we had the 3 day party pass (what we had). I never leave reviews on yelp, but STS figured they could scam a group of around 50 people and get away with it. They also called us immature for leaving them bad reviews. Absolutely comical. Day 01 - March 3 I landed in Punta Cana at 3pm and went to my hotel in preparation for my first night of partying, it did not initially concern me NO ONE FROM STS REACHED OUT but I assumed the person would meet me at my hotel or a representative at the club would welcome my group and have everything sorted out. NOBODY SHOWED UP. I found my way to the nightclub for the first night . I saw no STS representatives but since I had my receipt from already paying STS for that night, I showed the manager. The nightlife manager went over the receipt for over half an hour while we were pulled aside as the other spring breakers went to party. At the end, the manager (or anyone else) was not familiar with STS, there were no representatives and I had to pay AGAIN to get in the club. I was infuriated. Day 2 I woke up and called the STS number- I was redirected to the emergency line even though it was only 11am. I spoke to a representative who said I was to pick up my tickets at some random resort between 10 am and 3pm upon landing. This was a fine print on the confirmation notice. My plane did not land until 3pm so it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for me to pick up tickets. This resorts was far from where I was staying, and STS promised they would get the tickets to me. Also, the fact that I had booked the package and no one at STS even reached out when they noticed I didn't pick up the tickets was very unprofessional. It wasn't until 4pm in the evening after I made several calls I was eventually put in touch with someone who said he will give us tickets when we meet at the club. We met and he tore off some tickets to my group. There was NO explanation or accountability for what happened the previous night. Also, the express entry claimed on the website is a blatant lie as it took about 10-15 minutes to get in after handing over the tickets. Day 3 - The ticket stubs worked but there were no STS reps present in case of any issues. The issue this day was the transportation. We were supposed to get picked up at 10 and the driver didn't come until after 11. This driver or any of the drivers did not speak English but that was fine as I'm in a Spanish speaking country and I had STS to deal with the language barrier. This driver gave me the number of another driver and said to tell him when to pick us up. I took the number and sent it our rep as dealing with transport in a foreign country to and from a club is what I paid STS to do. This rep proceeded to tell me I was to call this driver to arrange my pickup while I don't even speak Spanish and honestly thought I did not have to be responsible for figuring that out. I couldn't believe a travel company could do any worse - but STS found a way. Day 4 -- Party Cruise The party cruise was at 3-6 pm. The ticket clearly said pickup at 2pm in hotel lobby. I was in the lobby and at 2:10 I called my rep- he assured me we would be picked up and we waited. At 3:30 pm after several assurances we would be picked up and we were still in the lobby, I was in tears. I felt ridiculous sitting in the lobby with no idea what was going on. At this point I had complete regret in booking with STS. The boat actually LEFT my group and we had to take a boat taxi to get to the party. I saw STS reps but they took no accountability and acted like I was holding up they party by not having anyone to pick my group up on time. It ruined my whole vibe for the party cruise. For that night - they offered us to go to any of the 3 nightclubs I went to previously- with all the stress associated with the previous events it just didn't seem to be worth it to undergo the stress of another night with STS. This was to replace the first night STS completely left me hanging. I opted to stay in and mail in the ticket for a refund was the only thing they did right. I feel I should have been refunded for the whole experience. Day 5 This was supposed to be their big party event. This was my last night and with more spring breakers I figured out STS would have had it figured out by now. It was still a disorganized mess. At pickup the driver was unsure of who he was picking up - which seemed to be the common theme the whole time- even when we showed them the STS tickets. On the way the bus stopped at another hotel and the driver wanted my group to get off to get in a taxi to accommodate the guests at this other hotel. I decided I was not getting off the bus until I got to my destination. I painstakingly got to the club with this VIP pass provided by STS. When booking they said we would be skipping the lines and have quick entry- this was a complete LIE. At the end of the night STS was one of the last buses for pickup. I don't understand how a company who claims they are experienced could have had made so many mistakes along the way. I did not expect booking a party package and having so much stress associated with the process. TWO stars for the rep who was able to process the refund for day one. read more

Page made our trip to Cancun unforgettable. there was 4 of us that booked with STS and another 7 who did not. She did not care and gave us all equal help. She was available for recommendations and questions the whole time. She was also very nice and personable. Our trip would not have been the same without her! When it comes to the hotel we got I was not happy because of the service from the actual hotel but this had nothing to do with the service STS provided. STS Travel pulled the same stunts on my daughter and her friends on their Spring Break trip to Breezes Bahamas. They each paid $259 for the "party package" and got nothing but cancellations. Booking through STS Travels was literally the best decision I could have made for my senior year spring break trip. My trip had literally 95 people on the trip and Jake and his team were able to expertly handle everything. I reached out to him 6 months in advance and just let him know about all of our plans and details and he was extremely accommodating. He gave me multiple different trips and let me figure out what my group wanted. Through the 6 months before the trip, there were cancellations, name changes, and other circumstances that I definitely could not have dealt with by myself. Jake figured out everything and was able to get refunds back for everyone who could not come on the trip. The planning was made 110% times simpler through booking through STS. Now onto the actual trip. It was literally how he outlined it for us. Checking into the southwest flight was a bit different since we were booking through a travel agent but once we figured that out it was smooth sailing. After we landed in Cabo, the bus was waiting for us to take us to the hotel. There were no problems with that at all. On site, there were travel reps ready to help us do whatever we wanted. That includes banana boats, jet skis, booze cruise, etc. They provided transportation for bars but it was not free. Overall, the trip was perfectly planned and so much fun at the resort. I merely had to act as the middle man between the actual planning process and the people wanting to come on the trip so that made my life much much easier. I personally do not understand what these other reviews are referring to. Whenever I called Jake he would pick up my phone immediately or return the call by the next day. This company is a complete scam and they take advantage of the students which they "claim" to service. I booked one of the more expensive room options and they gave me the cheeper one. When I asked for a refund the did not refund me the full amount and gave me credit to my STS account. As a senior in college I will not have the opportunity to go on a student spring break again. I would also never use this company again and would recommend that no one does as well. They also book resorts and claim that they offer a ton of extra included amenities and they either do not exist once you get there or STS will attempt to charge you extra in order to gain access to the amenities. Right the group that I when with started to realize that things were not right, the STS coordinators on our trip completely disappeared and hid from us when we wanted to ask questions and were checking out. Jake Jacobsen has been one of the people that we have been dealing with post trip trying to get refunds. He angrily reached out to out student trip coordinator complaining that people are leaving bad reviews. Recently experienced what this company has to offer by spending 5 days in Nassau Bahama's as what was advertised as "All In-Clusive" by STS. Food was only available at certain hours, alcohol and other beverages would run out daily, my bed didn't have a sheet for the entirety of my stay, even after calling the receptionist multiple times, DAILY, etc. This was the least of my concerns amongst my trip. THE Manager, the person who was in charge of STS while at my stay, named CHARLIE ALLEWALT was VERY unprofessional. I bought his "Party Pass Gold Edition" for $389 which was given to me as 4 small paper tickets which were in my wallet that was lost over my trip, which was reported to the hotel and police station. I brought this to the attention of CHARLIE, where he accused me of lying and saying I "sold my tickets for profit" (after clearly knowing my wallet was lost and reported lost) and would not replace my lost tickets. Charlie was unbelievably rude. Not just the way he accused me, but I watched him bite off many other guests faces as he did to me. He was very noticeably stoned or drunk almost the entirety of our trip. THE MANAGER??? INCREDIBLE. SAD. UNFORTUNATE. ILLEGAL. STS if you are seeing this, please please please do something. DO NOT USE STS. My group of 11 did the Breezes Bahamas Trip. We showed up to the resort and all the people working for STS were blackout drunk except one. They promise in their materials that if you have a group of four you will get two double beds. We show up to our room and ALL THREE ROOMS have one king bed and one cot, meaning three people to one bed even though we were promised two doubles for the four person rooms. No one from STS could help because they were so drunk. The resort was disgusting and the outlets in the room didn't work except one. They also said water sports like kayaks and paddle boards were included, there were none. Also promised tennis courts... there were none. Overall got scammed out of $700, thank god we didn't get the party pass or flights with STS or we would've been scammed out of more than a thousand. I have chosen to give STS 1 star based off of three factors: communication, trip planning, and response to COVID-19. Communication is terrible through STS. Have fun hearing different answers from different employees and going through text, email, and phone calls to try to get different answers. And if you want to try to find the answers yourself goodluck as website links within the contract are nonexistent. Although we were unable to go on the trip (which may have been a blessing in disguise) it was a mess from the start. We booked with direct flights to and from the resort on a well established airline. However, a few weeks before our trip we were changed to a flight with an extensive layover. We reached out to try to change this but it was impossible. Finally, we have waited since March despite having travel insurance to get our refunds. We are not anticipated to get our refunds until August... 5 months after our original trip!! Every other travel agency that I know of has already reimbursed travelers for these flights, especially those who had trip insurance. Save yourself a headache and book a trip through literally any other agency before you book through STS. read more

My experience with STS left a lot to be desired in a travel agency. I booked a spring break trip for 6 of my friends with them to Nassau, Bahamas. This trip was around $1,450 once it was all said and done with airfare included. We wanted to stay at the all-inclusive resort called Bahama Breezes. Online, Breezes has great reviews as an independent resort. Mainly, we were excited to try the 5 restaurants and top shelf liquor that was promised. Also on the website, Breezes boasts a relaxing atmosphere with fun games and nightly entertainment by the staff. What STS didn't tell us was that they were booking out the entire resort to spring break kids, AND making changes to how the resort functions daily. I asked my agent, Blake C., point blank if the restaurants would be opened to us during our trip. We said yes! We book our trip, and I start to hear that the 5 restaurants that are typically included with the all-inclusive will be closed and every single meal will be served in the buffet room. When we got there, we quickly learned that these things had changed from what we were promised: 1. We would be eating only buffet food, which wasn't very good, all 5 days we were there. The buffet wasn't on-going all day, there were certain times it was available and opened, also different from website. They said it would be opened for nightly snacks starting at midnight, which consisted of the left overs from dinner. Ew. 2. STS had a DJ playing club music ALLL DAY. Starting at 10 AM, we all woke up in our rooms to the music shaking the walls, and that music didn't end until around 6/7 PM. It made it impossible to relax next to the pool. I'm 21 and like to party but to me and my friends it was deafening. We had to sit on the colder beach everyday to get away from it. 3. No sheets on any beds to cut down on the amount of cleaning they'd have to do. Only a quilt. Again, really? If a person, no matter if they're a student or not, is paying that much to stay at a resort for 5 days, give them some sheets. 4. Workers at Breezes treated us as if we were on a school field trip. While they did a great job, and I can only imagine the things they had to deal with it being all college students, we shouldn't been aware being booking that it would be all college students. We wanted a nice and fun vacation, not to feel like we were being shuffled from one place to another by staff or that they were annoyed we were even there. 5. Some of the bars were closed. There was only 1 bar next to the pool and 1 other bar in the lobby, which closed at random times. They were NOT serving top shelf liquor, the drinks were strong but hard to drink because they put basically Takka in them. Nasty if you're paying about $200-300 a day to stay there. 6. STS intentionally didn't encourage anyone to do the free things offered at the resort, like go to a downstairs club there. Instead, they hosted events throughout the week that weren't included in the price and we probably spent an additional $200 each paying for 2 events, just because we didn't want to sit at the resort. The resort was very boring at night. 7. The workers of STS are creepy as heck and kept creeping on me and my friends. They're in maybe they're late 20s/early 30s and that's just weird and unprofessional for them to be getting drunk on the job?? ** My advice if you've made it this far in my review: Do not book with STS Travel by any means. I don't care if it's easier. They are not upfront in their pricing, my experience with them was very disorganized and unprofessional booking service. The trip was OK - but I think we expected a lot more for the price and what was promised. A few of the nights, we walked over to Baha Mar Casino and Resort, where it is only about $400-$500 a night for a 4 person room. That means we could've stayed there for about $500 a person. It wasn't inclusive, but honestly, I would've rather stayed somewhere WAY nicer and just paid for my food and drinks while there. This company must have seen Fyre Festival once, then just ran with it. In fact, I would bet Bernie Madoff is somehow behind this company's scheme. I just embarked on a 5 day stay at Breezes resort through STS travel services with members of my college class and we can all say we have never been scammed so hard in our lives. They promised a concert with Lost Kings and Sam Feldt, neither of which showed. All we got was some kid with his SoundCloud playlist who kept throwing full beers at us in the crowd. The food tasted like it was a week old. Every single meal and drink consisted of a 45 minute line. We were given room service once. Between 4 roommates we were given 2 towels for the entire week. When booking for a group of 30, I told the agent we didn't want to stay anywhere too chaotic so they recommended the Occidental Tucancun in Cancun and it was perfect. A ton of fun but much nicer than other spring break hotels and still a good price. We also got the party package which was definitely worth the money. 3 nights at 3 different clubs with drinks included plus a booze cruise. Not to mention the companies they chose for the booze cruise and airport transfers were both amazing. Genuinely the best week of my life. My junior year we went to Punta Cana and this past year we went to the oasis in Cancun for our senior year. IT WAS LIT!!! They have this dope stage where they play music all day and there are students from so many schools all over the freaking place. A friend of my daughter organized a trip to Cabo for a group of 15, scheduled to travel in March. We were given a deadline of December 21 to put down deposits, I received a confirmation which included "A $400 deposit is due by December 21st to lock in the price. Just click your name below to access your Traveler Portal where there will be an options to Make Payment. Final payment is due January 15th. The optional Travel Protection Plan is automatically on your account and can be removed if you do not want it. You will need to decide if you would like it or not within 30 days or before your trip is paid off." Only two others signed up, including the group organizer, by the 12/21 deadline. He then cancelled the trip for everyone and said we would get back our deposit. Time passed, no refund. I contacted the company (1/27) to ask about the refund. The first response was, the Travel protection Plan is only initiated when the full amount is paid. Since the full amount was not paid, no Travel Protection, no refund. The second was that the travel agreement states in the fine print that the deposit is non-refundable. Note the email verbiage above, no mention that it was non-refundable. I guess I should have had an attorney read the agreement first. The explanation was that they spent the deposit money on other deposits (airfare, hotel) which they cannot recoup. I find it difficult to believe that "having been in business for 33 years" that they have no flexibility or leverage three months away from the trip date when only 3 people out of 15 had put down money by the stated deposit deadline. It would be my assumption that they would take no actions on planning and reservations until the entire group was signed up. We put down money in good faith. What was to have been a great trip to cap her senior year at university is instead a hole in my wallet and a bitter disappointment. read more

If I could give a review lower than one star, I would. I purchased travel insurance for a trip that I had to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and have still yet to receive the refund entitled by the policy. Despite promising a speedy payment when purchasing the travel insurance, the company has instead delayed any action on the issue for over six months. I have no faith I will ever receive my refund, and although their tardiness may have been merited during the initial pandemonium of the pandemic, at this point it just feels like they are stealing my money. I would not recommend the company to anyone, and will certainly be warning all the other students at my college to avoid these crooks whenever it becomes safe enough to travel again. read more

My group and I booked a spring break trip to Punta Cana with STS this past March. STS offers trips to the most popular spring break locations and they curate the party packages to cater to students interests. I would recommend using STS to plan your group trip because it makes traveling with large groups easier and much more organized. The transportation was crucial to visiting all of the spots we wanted to hit. Be sure to research the resort you are staying at and ensure the quality is up to your standard as they offer a range of accommodations in each location. read more

Hands down the WORST travel package I have ever been a part of. The STS employees were BEYOND unhelpful, scammed us out of money, and did everything in their power to make a quick buck. They charged us $400 more than another student travel service at the same resort was charged, sold tickets to events within/outside the trip at a various range of prices (from $30-$100), and were extremely unhelpful. When having run-ins with the resort (Occidental Caribe, which was equally as trashy), they provided no assistance and acted as horrible liaisons between their paying customers and the resort. Misleading and disapointing. They leave a ton of info out about the packages and there are tons of hidden fee's. We bought an all inclusive package... the trip was a sad excuse for all inclusive, almost nothing was included. They don't placed us in a dirty, unsanitary resort and our package only allowed us to eat at a few resturants, all of which were repulsive. Do not waste your money booking with them, save yourself a headache and a potential miserable vacation. I so wish I could go back in time and book with another agency. 1 star is not even good enough. This company is beyond disgusting. My friends and I were unable to go on our trip from Australia to Mexico due to COVID and the company will not issue us a refund. We have been told to 'take responsibility for our actions'. The man we have been dealing with - Charlie Allewalt has 0 customer service skills/compassionate skills. Stay away from this place. My daughter and 15 friends used them to plan their spring break trip to the Bahamas. Then coronavirus hit. I dealt directly with the owner and they refused to help out at all. Nothing. No credits, nothing at all, and were not even nice about it. For a business that caters to the college crowd you would think they would try to help in a bad and extraordinary time but nope, not this business. Find some other place. i wish i could rate it 0 stars because i would. this company steals all your money and they charge you for fighting to get back your money as well. i have lost around 1k because of this company and a year later, i am still losing money to this company. even if you buy the travel insurance it doesn't matter they will still take all your money. out of the 1k that i invested into a trip that i decided to cancel, i only got $150 of jet blue flight credit back (that i got through the travel insurance). it is ridiculous and a complete scam. do not under any circumstances give these people your credit card information or any of your money because they will continue to charge it without your permission. and if u do, make sure you have lawyers before even starting a trip. read more

Keara was helpful during the booking process and did everything she could to ensure we had a smooth trip. I will say, the STS booking website was difficult but Keara was always there to help. STS should definitely look into upgrading the website. Besides that, Carlos, our STS guide in Cancun was amazing. Carlos met us at whichever club we went to and ensured we had a great time. Besides the STS logistics, our resort, the Grand Oasis, sucked. The Grand Oasis did not have comforters on the beds and the staff was difficult to work with. Furthermore, a few of my groups' rooms flooded and we had to bargain with the staff to clean them up and fix our toilets. Furthermore, the hotel had disgusting food, finding the cheapest cuts of meat and lowest quality products you could find. Furthermore, cartel members would try and sell us drugs on the beach, and fellow vacationers at the resort were held at gunpoint at some point off-resort. All I can say is that STS was great, however, the resort we stayed at made us grateful to live in Aemrica. read more

From the rebooking of our resort reservations which was not approved by us, to the false advertisement on your website, to the unresponsiveness and insensitivity of your customer's concerns, our experience with STS Travel has been disappointing, to say the least. First, while planning our trip and during the course of discussion prior to reservations, we indicated interest in staying at the Breezes Hotel in Nassau. When our group of friends made our initial payment with STS Travel reserving the trip, the confirmation email stated that we were booked at the Breezes Hotel. When I spoke to Jake via telephone regarding a separate matter, we were told that we were not staying at the Breezes, but instead staying at the Melia Hotel. We were not informed that our reservation at the Breezes was cancelled, rebooked, or changed in any way. Second, your website indicates that your company offers a party package for Nassau. When I called about this party package the women on the phone stated they did not even sell trips to the bahamas? weird considering I just made my final payment. I contacted your company several times, leaving messages each time regarding this package and were told that they would receive a response within 24 hours. We received no such response. Third, when our flight with Jet Blue was cancelled, I contacted Jake numerous times and left several messages for some assistance. No calls were returned. I called the emergency line, but the representative from your company was extremely unhelpful and inattentive. We had to rebook an entire separate one-way flight on our own with no help from our so-called travel agents causing us to arrive an entire 24-hours late to our original reservation and a great deal of expense. My school used Sts travel for a spring break to Nassau in the Bahamas. It was an absolutely horrible experience. Sts basically committed fraud as they were Marketing certain aspects of the trip that were simply not true. We booked the trip thinking we were going to be seeing Los Kings (a famous dj) and instead we got a random dj that got arrested for throwing a beer at a girls neck. In addition to this, we we're told that tipping was "simply not permitted" when in reality you would not be served at the all inclusive bar if you didn't have money in your hands. each room of 4 was supposed to have 2 beds and instead we got a bed and a cot that was smaller than a twin sized bed. We got 2 towels for 4 people the whole week and were unable to wash them. I had clothes stolen out of my room on the first day, the taxis they got for us would bring you down dark alleys and threaten to leave you there if you didn't pay them 10x the amount promised, if you tested positive for Covid they would say it's inconclusive and send you home anyway, the food was boarder line inedible, there we're drug dealers on the beach that we're working with security to target students, and sts agents told us to "not tell US customs what we did at the resort". Sts makes money by hiring college students and paying them handsomely to promote and book these "all inclusive trips" when in reality they are scamming everyone that goes through their company. Do not use them to book a trip. read more
