Hired him to paint my home, etc.-said he wanted to take care of everything for me so I don't get ripped off - he diluted the paint, lied and bullsh... his way on everything. His workers told me what his scam was because they thought I was a nice person and Constantly asked for more money upfront to pay his own home bills and shutoff notices - had his two kids work for him and then told me it's was their first time doing any of it. Paid him in full because he again begged that he needed it to pay for his van repairs, his electric bills, etc. and then laughed about filling the sealer bucket with 1/2 water - because I would never know the difference on sealing the rock walls of my home. Told him that my cameras showed that he only put one coat on an exterior walls, told me two times that he put 4 coats on - sprayed all over my windows and screens, dripped paint down into my trim, ruined landscaping, etc. - and then as soon as he was paid in full - had his guys come to my house and pick up all of their equipment without the job completed rectified. Homeowners with big hearts beware! Run, he's a con man. That's the last time I'll ever let someone come in without ANY references! My fault.

Yesterday, I anxiously returned to Metamora with two of my friends for lunch and shopping. To say it was disappointing was an understatement. It has become a junk store. While I understand some things cannot stay the same, the new owners need to talk with Mrs. Griswold as to how to display and bring in items that made it so unique and interesting. With the General Store across the street, (which is outstanding), The Salt Box will not survive at this rate, which is sad. Metamora is a destination... it's on the map now. Make it worth the visit.
