Went to a consultation and met the Senior Dr. Strull and the the office staff. Honestly felt like my wife and I were with family. Very friendly and saved me thousands I thought I was going to lose all my bottom teeth. Then today I met with Dr. Strull the Jr. to have a tooth extraction, He was very gentle and the way he did it was by far the best experience I've had in a dentist office. I'm now going back to have a full upper denture made I finally found a dentist I trust and the quote I received was way less then the others. And he is an oral surgeon. I have been here several times, and I highly recommend them to everyone I know and anyone looking for an oral surgeon. I'm not sure what the issue is with all the negative reviews because myself, my family, and anyone I have recommended to go there has never had a single complaint! And that includes several people who are on government insurance plans and they have never been or felt discriminated against! I do know that sometimes one of the two can come off a little direct and some may see that as being gruff or abrasive...however he's a very kind, patient, caring surgeon who has always been nothing but kind to us...I have not had a single issue and I've seen both Drs and both have made it a very pleasant experience! I as well have issues with numbing but they both always make sure I feel nothing and I'm comfortable before starting any procedure! I once came home from Vacation two days early due to getting the worst mouth infection I have ever seen in my life my face swelled up and I was in so much pain I couldn't handle it...on the way home I reached out to them on google or something and a short time later Dr strull responded and they were closed the following day being it was Sunday and he told me to call them first thing Monday ...I couldn't wait till Monday so I went to an emergency place however on Monday morning he reached out again checking on me and to let me know he would see me that day if I could come in!! That's the type of people they are! When they say they want you to feel like family they're serious and they will go above and beyond to help you in any way they can! That's all I just wanted to add my two cents because they are great drs and I hate to see someone pass them over due to a couple bad reviews because when your in pain and you need help they are who you wanna call! PS- I didn't need a narcotic AT ALL after getting wisdom teeth takin out by them I literally returned my prescription to them because I never filled it, when I went back because I was so shocked at how little pain I had! I had a terrible experience with Dr. James Strull, his staff were great. I was referred to Dr. Strull to have an extraction. I took the time prior to procedure to tell hygienist and also Dr. Strull that I have had to have extra steps taken to get my gums numb and that I am capable and have no issues differentiating between pressure and pain. After the first set of shots that proved ineffective, he gave me more and made the decision himself that I was fine and numb and proceeded to start and went right for the hole/nerve in my tooth. He refused to stop when I asked him to until I physically grabbed his arm. He proceeded to ask me what my insurance was (which we already discussed ) , answered himself, and I could find someone else and good luck. I have healthy indiana plan, which is a form of medicaid insurance that I pay for. I've never been treated like that by a professional in my life and his jut defensive behavior to me saying "I'm not numb yet, please stop" tells me that this isn't the first time hes done this and/or he has an issue with Indiana HIP patients. Either way this will be reported to MHS , a complaint to his office , and the ADA. read more

I had a great experience with the office staff but a VERY bad experience with Dr. James Strull. I went in to have multiple teeth pulled. I informed Dr. Strull that I was not numb and could feel him touching my gums. He ignored what I was saying and went ahead and pulled my teeth anyway. He would not listen to anything I said and even made a rude comment after he pulled the teeth. I will not be returning to the office for any additional procedures PERIOD. read more

I had such a terrible experience with Dr. James Strull. This memory is burned into my mind and will most likely be for the rest of my life. I went into the office to have my wisdom teeth taken out, and Dr. Strull was having a lot of trouble trying to find a vein to put the IV in for the procedure. Not even exaggerating, this man pricked my arm in 3 different places, 5 times each. And when I started freaking out about it, he mocked me and had the audacity to say with a smug face, "you're making this quite hard for me." As I was being the difficult one! And then when looking at my arm he has the audacity to ask me when the last time I self harmed was. Me, being extremely confused, looked at my arm to the scratches he was referring to. My cat had scratched my arm a few days prior!! It was humiliating, embarrassing, and completely unprofessional. I wouldn't not recommend this doctor to anyone, not even if they were desperate. read more
