When we listed our home for sale we had a home inspector report issues with our structure. He had one company follow up with an estimate between 60-100k in repairs. We contacted a different company who reported different issues that would be 60k to repair. We decided since neither of these crawl space experts were engineers that we needed an expert. We found Structural Support and had them do an inspection. Thoroughly done with attention, when complete we shared the estimates we had for these alleged problems. We only had minor issues and most of the estimated services were not needed at all. We have a local trusted contractor working on the matter and due diligence. Reading the reviews of the big name contractors led us to believe we had major problems. When they all identified a problem, each of the contractors suggested totally different things that were relevant, but not needed at all. We strongly recommend using Structural Support, and are thankful for not believing these so called basement experts. read more

Fabulous service and I never I hired them. I had a concern with respect to a property I was purchasing and he explained the issues to me that two home inspectors had failed to do. I can't recommend this guy, John F. Mann, or his business, Structural Support, highly enough. He did an absolutely great job. Thanks to him I have a clear, simple game plan to address issues I've had with my house. Not only that, his recommendations are very reasonable cost wise, much less costly and more sensible than if I'd gone to a big name 'specialist' to help with some water seepage in my basement. AND it can be implemented in stages so no more time and money need be spent than required to resolve the issue. No overpaying for overkill! He also checked out the rest of the house for structural issues. Thank goodness there were none but he suggested things I might want to do in future. Based in Belmar but NO CHARGE for travel so the fee was extremely reasonable. If you need advice or evaluation from a structural engineer this is the person you should call. read more

As you could see by the evidence below I placed my review in 2014 and this guy didn't even consider getting back until 2018 that's an example of his apathy. Also. The account presented by the architecture engineer whatever he considers himself below is false. We had a very brief conversation I did not hear from him until he sent something in the mail. I called him several times asking him to please call me back so we can discuss what he's going to do. He included in my plans 8 helical piles and a grade beam Foundation which is extremely unnecessary for my area. When I told him I just need a simple Foundation which is what I told him from the beginning he said I could remove some of the helical piles and some of the grade beam foundation. As for going to court the mediator has been reprimanded for recommending that the judge would rule in his favor because that is not a mediator's position to do. I had filed a complaint immediately afterwards. Maybe this guy might do well in other projects but he is very unwilling to communicate during. Also I returned his plans to him the very next day upon receiving them in the mail. I drove to Belmar and put them in his mailbox because I did not need them they were unnecessary and extremely expensive. All I needed was a simple blueprints for a cinder block foundation for my house. He is one of those types of people that will tell you what he is going to do regardless of what your needs may be. I also spoke to a very highly-regarded engineer who lives further down south Jersey I will not mention his name but he is very well known by Engineers across the country. And he told me that helical piles and gradebeam Foundation are unnecessary unless you are building on sand which I was not. It's also insulting that this architect would write such personal information saying that I claimed quote "poverty". My house was completely ruined in Hurricane Sandy it was a one-story house that received four and a half feet of water inside the house. At the time in my life I was only making $36,000 a year. And working two jobs. So it's insulting and very telling of his personality and attitude to put this information on this post. Instead of just sticking to the facts. read more
