My husband has to tell the staff member (no clue what their qualifications are) that the person she was looking for was in room 4 as he heard every detail of the event through the walls. Luckily we are only dealing with bones and ligaments? I guess HIPPA doesn't apply to orthopedic patients? Oh, but it does. We then get a call from a third party ( the next day) asking us to verify the delivery address for the right knee scooter the dr ordered. Since my husband has a left ankle issue, I obviously didn't verify our address for delivery of room number 4's scooter. Such a disaster. We are now in need of a second opinion as we have zero confidence in all aspects of this practice.

I have severe health anxiety and felt extremely comfortable in Tracy's care. When I came to this office, I was already annoyed by the 20-30 min wait times before you're even called into a room. The office staff is never accountable or apologetic for anything. If anything, Rose and Gabby go out of their way to be petty. If there is an issue at the office they will never speak to you, they make other people call you back. Rose did a PA for a medication once, under my maiden name, after already giving them my new married name and new drivers license. I went round and round with the pharmacy and the office until I requested to see the PA approval form. Had Rose taken two seconds to speak to me about it, she would've realized her error. Instead she was rude to me via email correspondence, and made it seem like I was the reason for all of the confusion. Don't even get me started on the amount of times I have had my prescriptions sent to the incorrect pharmacy and 30 day refills after requesting 90 day refills for non-narcotic meds. I have lapsed in my medications that cannot be stopped abruptly 3 times because of their inefficiencies. When I spoke to the office mang., Brandy, regarding my frustration's of the office, her response was wild. She said and I quote "yah F*&k my life, I gave two many employees time off with checking to see who was off first". I myself work in a medical office and am appalled that the office mang speaks to patients in this way. Even after all of this, I stayed because Tracy is a WONDERFUL practitioner who actually listens to you. Well, today was the final straw. After being scheduled for med refill and bloodwork appt, I showed up for my appt, only to be told that HE'LL be in shortly. When I asked who "he" was, I was told Dr Patterson will be in to explain everything. I have historically only seen Tracy the NP, and had never even met Dr Patterson. Brandie the office mang never once said anything to me that my provider had changed, let alone that Tracy was no longer even a part of the practice. After waiting until 9:20am for my 8:40 appt, I walked out. I asked for a records release to sign as I was leaving and could hear the back office talking about me. How I just "walked out". Now that Tracy is gone, I will never return to this office. Dr Patterson is transitioning to concierge medicine and will now be requiring an annual fee for tiered patient care. I already pay my copays, deductibles, and coinsurances. I would never pay an annual fee for a Doctor who doesn't give a shit about how shitty his office runs or how they treat their patients.

We were helped immediately at registration. During my entire stay, all the staff was super kind and knowledgeable. It definitely helped relieve all my nerves! My nurse Nelson was an exceptional delight! Usually it takes nurses a few tries to find a good vein for a blood draw/IV but he did it on the first try. Surgery itself was only about 30 minutes. My boyfriend was well informed during the entire process. There was a snack area and TV in the waiting area.

This facility is similar to all Beaumont facilities where you can access your records online, make and change appointments easily, and fill your prescriptions rapidly. I would rate zero stars if I could. I hadn't even made it to the office to meet any providers recommended to me by my PCP, who told me at the time the doctor was the best in the area and specialized in the field . I had almost forgotten to leave my honest review this week but I believe it deserves to be said that after playing phone tag for three days, having my appointment rescheduled with out my permission or confirmation I had to beg to speak to the office manager Lisa-who is about as condescending as the people who work for her. What is best for the scheduling staff is what dictates when you will be seen and who you will be seeing for any life threatening procedures. Luckily after letting my general physician know of how I had been treated, I was able to a schedule to meet with a qualified surgeon who likely has less years of experience but is readily available to meet with someone who according to Lisa, doesn't present enough of an emergency for the surgeon to consult with. Lisa and her staff prevented me from meeting with Dr.McIntosh and his esteemed colleague Dr.Martinovski. When I worked as an assistant in a providers office back when I was in my early twenties, telling a patient that they will be seen when it is 'best for the office staff' or dictating who and when they should see the doctor...would get me fired on the spot. These providers happen to be surgeons and provide life saving care for the local community and based on a few bad interactions with their dispensable staff likely drives business away and mars the rapport between patients and practice. I can't imagine how disorganized the clerical staff is after having experienced their sheer disregard for my health. Who's to know how the quality of medical care will be?If you have blue care network ppo or hmo I implore you to not be discouraged - don't play phone tag and make sure you shop around. There are other practices who hire lots of better quality staff to consult with in the area. To who it may concern, I'm going to be alright thank goodness as someone who needed this procedure done soon - I will be meeting with a surgeon soon! No thanks to James, Lisa or Marina. The nursing staff could not have been kinder, the anesthesiologist was very knowledgeable and put in a pain pump that lasted for 3 1/2 days after surgery. That in itself would be a one of the reasons I would really recommend this place. I could feel no pain at all during the worst days- by the time feeling in my arm came back. It was really just a little bit of an ache. Not really even a pain. I am one week out from the surgery, so my postop is not until next week, but I can move my fingers and my thumbs, and I am not in pain! I will update after my postop next week.
