We have hired Strong Bros Moving twice. Unbeknownst to me, both times, THE MOVE WAS OUTSOURCED TO ANOTHER CHEAPER COMPANY. (You pay for the more expensive company, they hire cheaper movers and pocket the extra... Which I had no idea of when we booked with them. I do think the customer should be informed of this.) It appears Yelp has the more honest reviews. Google seemed to have screened the negative ones. The first time I hired them for my parents, they were fantastic. (Either that, or my parents were being nice since it was a gift.) The second time, it was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. We had a 9 a.m. appointment that I confirmed the time, the number of movers and the starting location address the day before. An HOUR after our appointment time, it was discovered they were at the wrong address across town. Finally an HOUR AND A HALF AFTER our appointment, 3 of the 4 hired movers arrived. (See camera footage.) The fourth worker didn't arrive until 11:20. (TWO HOURS, 20 MINUTES late.) One out of the four movers seemed to know what he was doing. When it was easy, straightforward boxes , everyone kept busy. When it came to furniture or odds and ends, it was a lot of standing around waiting to be told what needs to be done. We paid four workers for a good 1-2 hours while they walked around, trying to look busy , while only one or two kept consistently working. One worker in particular kept asking "what's this? Does this need to go?" ..... We're moving... It all needs to go .... He kept going to the side of the house.. I was assuming he was grabbing stuff and putting it in the truck. To my surprise, once I went back to the house later, he hadn't moved the items on the side. (See photo.) I would not use them again. A move is stressful enough without adding a headache. read more

Tommy the owner is a complete scumbag. For a simple move that we paid $3,300 for we expected our belongings to be cared for. The move took from 8:45 am to 11:45 pm. Several side tables and dressers were damaged. Worst of all one of our recliners was bent ( probably dropped down the stairs to be honest). Tommy offered $60 to have someone come by and take a look at it. BEWARE!!!! Other side notes: Movers peed in the parking lot and didn't wash their hands. In the beginning booking stages the owner Tomas was extremely responsive but after I booked he hardly responds and never answers my phone calls. Day of the move the 2 guys were over 30 minutes late with NO prior notice. I was calling Tomas and the movers trying to get an ETA - many calls and texts later the owner said "Good morning I was able to reach them they are stuck in traffic 6 minutes away." This was 20 minutes after the scheduled time. Not only were the two guys late but they showed up with no extra shrink wrap which Tomas said they bring along at an additional cost AND one or both of the movers were HIGH and had such intense fragrance of MARIJUANA. The smell was throughout our entire home (keep in mind it was 8am). How unprofessional! Once the truck arrived to my destination the movers in our new state made multiple comments on how poorly they packed it and showed us a list of items that were completely broken and/or ruined!!!! I reached out to Tomas and of course there were ignored phone calls and many, many texts later until he replied and did not offer any discount, refund, resolution in the slightest. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL company and it's unfortunate. This is our 3rd out of state move in the past 15 months and have never had an experience with a moving company like Strong Bros. Two movers showed up, one immediately left due to expectations of job. Because of that loading our one bedroom apartment took 5 hours. Another mover had to be called in unexpectedly. We left Vegas around 1:00 PM. Movers showed up to Tucson around 9:30 PM. My husband and I were at our new place around 7:30 ready for them. While they unloaded quickly, several items were damaged. One of our recliners does not recline due to being taken apart incorrectly. My husband filed a claim but the only compensation the owner was $60. The recliner that was broken was only about 6 months old and was around $500 when purchased. Not super happy with performance. read more

Amazing guys!!! Thumbtack only allowed me to pick 3 of the 5 highlights, but these guys are all 5: professional, punctual, responsive, provide great value, and their quality of work is amazing!!! We had a big move, some of our items weren't done being packed and that was no problem for these guys! They moved our 4 bedroom home with appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher), 4 bedrooms worth of so much stuff, a peloton bike, so many and very heavy totes, with ease!! They even disconnected and reconnected the washer, dryer, and fridge (in order to move the fridge, they had to take the doors off). They worked within our budget and made sure we didn't go broke moving by working at reduced capacity as the hours went by and fewer items were left to move. If we ever move again, we're calling Strong Bros Moving again! If we ever have small moving jobs/tasks, we're calling Strong Bros Moving!! Last August I scheduled a move for a one bedroom, but I mentioned to them that I had a lot of things for a one bed room house, I was downsizing into a 2 bedroom apartment. I also gave them a list of the things that I had as they asked for reference. I miticulously foam padded and shrink wrapped almost everything in plastic for easier and safer moving, I labeled fragile items and one of the movers showed up about an hour late to wait for the his buddy with the truck. They rented a small uhual box truck and as it backed into my driveway I immediately knew it was too small. I called the owner and told him it's simply not going to work, he could repeat one thing to me, " that's industry standard" even if I didn't have many things that truck would have been super packed very tightly. To save 20$ bucks on a smaller rental is ridiculous, When you're moving your in a hurry and stressed to meet your move out/move in times, so you just go with the flow. They ended up having to pack things so tightly that some things were damaged not to mentioned some deep cuts into a baseboard and several deep drywall dings. I wrote "fragile" in a new entertainment center as it was brand new and when he loaded it he called me to tell me a screw fell out of one of the legs, in fact it had been bumped into the floor/wall and broken, I called him out but he didn't respond. They scuffed a lot of my new furniture even though it was wrapped and I had a ton of my own moving blankets but when things are packed super tight it's inevitable. They also broke one of my new couch legs off, they ripped one of my couch backings and several dresses and beds frames were scuffed, they even had to load some items in their personal cars. I drove to meet them at the apt and they arrived like an hour later. They started unloading several things when I seen them lay mine of my couch cushions in the landscaping with the dirt, I bit my tongue and picked it up. Later when they were almost done, they were sweating and one of the movers was drenched in sweat and sat right on my couch after brining it upstairs to rest, Not to mention one of the movers brought his girlfriend while she sat in my apartment and played in her phone?? These guys seemed to be subbed this piece work it seemed. I ended up still tipping them 50$ each because as unhappy as I was with their work, ultimately its management that runs this company and sets the standards or trains their employees. I emailed Tomas at 11am on a Friday and shortly after had a confirmed time for the following day Tomas and crew arrived promptly at the designated time and quickly got to work on what is admittedly an awful stair case. I have used this company several times now for several different projects . My family and I needed some extremely heavy items transported to our home and they were there to get the job done. They were on time, had great communication and came prepared and took great care in moving some very delicate yet heavy items. One of the things that they had to move for us was a 9ft solid mahogany statue that was extremely heavy. The statue was moved with extreme care and we were so grateful! Don't do it!!! Unreliable!!!! The plan was to meet their movers at U-Haul so one of them can drive the truck. I got there, met the three movers and none of them had a driver's license!! What?!? How did they even drive their cars? I made it clear to Tommy that someone had to drive the U-Haul and return it. My house is all packed and ready to move. So now I'm stuck paying for the U-Haul and had to cancel my move. What a waste of time and money. Moving is already stressful enough. read more

We needed a mover somewhat fast, and Strong Bros Moving was able to accommodate us within a couple days. Their rates were the most reasonable of all the companies I checked, we just had to rent the Uhaul ourselves (which was less than $50). The movers were strong and quick, and came prepared with dollies and blankets. I feel they used a lot of care when moving and placing our stuff but they also worked swiftly to give us the most for our hourly rate. All our movers were really nice guys, special shout out to "Mo". That guy can carry anything, he impressed my husband. They did such a great job, we used them again for additional moving the following week. Highly recommend Strong Bros Moving! read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! they are the most ghetto problematic unprofessional movers u can hire. the owner hires these thugs off the street to work for him. they show up smelling bad & unprofessional. I hired them to move my 3bed room to another place. let me start off and say when the movers came to my home 2guys, they said wow this is a 3 bed room we was told it was a 1 bed room, immediately they was irritated and didn't want to do the job when I specifically booked them for a 3br & confirmed Prior to them arriving. Usually I book movers for 2hrs to load and unload for the same amount of items I have, they told me this is a 10hr job. i told them I only need u guys for 2hrs mainly for the big stuff. These guy dragged their feet and started moving extra slow after I say that. It took them Almost 2hrs just to take one bed apart. nothing was loaded in the truck after 2hrs, They sat my expensive glass vase outside on the concrete while the wind was blowing and it fell and broke. Then they said they didn't do it. They backed up my unhaul truck and hit the apartment building. They talking on the phone taking personal calls while they should be working, that was it for me! I called the owner and told him they can leave and I will not be paying them for they time because they been here 2hrs and they have not done anything but take a bed apart, and broke my items, plus they was rude and arguing with my elderly mother when she told them if they can not be on the phone so much and work more for their time. The guy cursed my mom out. once I said I wasn't paying them $300 cause they literally did nothing for 2hrs, the movers when into my unhaul truck took my keys and said they wasn't giving me my keys because I didn't pay them, so my nephew who was also helping me move got into a fight with the movers and he threatened to shoot my nephew. I had to call the police. once they left my house one of the movers texted my cell phone and threatened me again and sent me his location & told me to come meet him because his girlfriend was going to beat my A**. I sent the messages over to the owner and he never replied or apologized for anything!!! Listen save yourself some time and spend a little more money to hire professionals. this was by far the worse experience I've ever had moving it took me 3 days to move and I had to take off work due to this delay! Stay away from these peopl! they can't be trusted! They don't deserve not 1star. read more

Arrived late, lazy and unprofessional. Charge by the hour, tack on travel time and then drag out work as long as humanly possible. Not only did they do a terrible job, they left trash all over when they left (Gatorade bottles, chips bags they just dropped it on ground in my yard when they were finished). Whether they realized it or not, they were on camera with audio entire time (sign in front yard warns of cameras) and the more footage I watched, the more angry I got about having to pay them $86 per hour (promised rate says for 2 guys, but never once were both guys actually working). One guy would be standing around while 1 guy lifted 1 little item at a time. I had to hire 2 guys from uhaul to actually work or job would never have gotten done. No one has drivers licenses, so I am guessing no insurance either and owners lack of real concern about how terrible and lazy his worthless guys were, was almost as shocking as the rate they charge. read more

Worst moving experience ever. To start, they were late and slowly trickled in. The whole move lasted 9 plus hours when it should have only taken 5-6 hours max. The movers were smoking weed during the job and so lazy. There were initially 4 movers total and one of them was completely useless. He sat and texted on his phone the whole time and then left 3 hours in. The worst of it was that I had so many damages to my furniture. I have a beautiful hand crafted custom armoire and that they completely ruined to the point of the back was falling off. They didn't shrink wrap any of my furniture and I have white linen couches that were completely black after the move. Do not waste your money or time and hire these movers. We are Seniors and we have moved a lot in our lifetime and have used many movers. Strong Bros Moving has been the best moving experience we have ever had! it was last minute when I called them and they jumped thru hoops to schedule our move! Tommy communicated very well and showed up exactly when he said they would. it was supposed to be a 2-3 hour job that turned into 5 hours because we had so much more stuff and lots of it had to be wrapped. We were so grateful that the guys had no problem staying. They stayed until the job was completed. They took so good care of our stuff and packed the trailer very professionally and got a lot more in the trailer than my husband and I thought they could and we were really impressed! They went out of their way to make sure everything was well protected. I would definitely use them again and we recommend them for your moving needs.
