It is beautifully landscaped, clean, and well maintained. The location and road design could make access from the road difficult if you're going northbound on Westgate. Traffic sometimes builds up in peak hours. I can only imagine if there was a game at the stadium! Access going southbound is very easy. This Murphy USA had a full, walk-in convenience store with snacks of al the usuall kinds, some pre-packaged fresh food, both hot and cold drinks, water, small essentials, and, of course Lotto tickets (voluntary taxes which have not reduced property taxes nor seemed to improve schools, but that is another matter). There is plenty of parking, quite a few fuel pumps , sales of ice, trade-in 5 gallon propane tanks, etc. I did not notice a place to fill tires with air, but I did not look specifically. The young lady at the counter was friendly and efficient. Of course, Murphy USA always has the best gas prices. This place checks all the boxes for a gas station and convenience store. I'll be back.

I requested one chicharron and one huavo de la Mexicana tacos to go at $1.79 each. I also picked up some salsa at the help yourself salsa bar. A hot 24oz coffee costed $1.59, cheap. Here are our thoughts. Coffee was really hot and excellent. This was the best coffee we ever had from any gas station stores. The chicharron inside the taco was soft and a little chewy, perfect. The red sauce in the chicharron taco was spicy, the way we like it. An A for this taco. On the other hand the huavo de la Mexicana taco was a dud. The eggs had been sitting in the stream table too long and became hard. No amount of salsa could repair it, a D for this taco. The foods at this particular Stipes were not as good as the other one we had tried. But the service was muy bueno.

The food is homestyle Mexican food made by ladies that know their cooking. I enjoy the food from here more than a few of the local actual restaurant in town. Sounds weird to say that about gas station food, but the Laredo Taco Company inside these stations knows what they are doing by hiring ladies that are great in the kitchen. I'm a Mexican chef with a great cook of a mom and we both enjoy most of the food made here. Giant flour tortilla tacos under $2 can't be beat! The gas station part is typical. Slushies, hot dogs burritos. They sell money orders here too. Popo likes to hang out around here late at night and catch drunkies trying to fill up on beet before cut off time.
