The range of gas in my car is always less with Stripes. I get 10 extra miles when using a competitor company's gas. Which leads me to believe the gas is weak. read more

The WORST convenience store and gas station EVER! My rv needed only 7 gallons and their pumps called 7 gallons 12 gallons! My rv's system is in perfect order and this is the ONLY time I've needed a certain amount based on my computer and the gas pump said a figure way higher. Is there a way to see if they're duping customers?? The rudest most lazy, gross woman ignored me while talking to another employee and then acted like she did me a favor, telling me the sign was still up but they didn't serve food from the menu but food they made themselves. (LOOKED SO SO SO GROSS!!). They advertised fresh food on signs on the highway... the gross cold food that awaits has been there a while and if the store employees make it, you OBVIOUSLY don't want to eat it. This Stripes on the main drag in Kerrville has been a gas up stop on my way to Twisted Sisters for several years. If I could get my fave beer stocked there...another star! OK, I'm not holding my breath. GF and I couldn't sleep a few days back. We initially wanted to head out around 7; we hit the doors of this Stripes just after 5am. Laredo Taco was coming to life! LT has always been a double edged sword depending on the location and time of visit. Sometimes the food looks decent, other times no go for launch. I get it; served from a hot well..sitting for hours. Everything was fresh for this visit; something that only happens once a day! My husband went to the store on Sidney Baker in Kerrville to buy a four pack of Vuse golden tobacco pods. He showed the box of what he wanted. He was handed a box, paid for them and was out the door two steps when he saw it was a two pack versus a four pack. He went back in the store to say they had given him the wrong product. She said that he had left the store and nothing she could do. She cheated him and used "the law" to do so. How many times I wonder has this happened? We have always bought gas cigs etc at this store. The clerks at the register are usually pretty nice, but ...... the people cooking the food are always rude and we've been in this store well over 20 times. We jokingly referred to them as the "taco Nazis". I understand this town has a hard time keeping people employed, but they could sure use a lesson on customer service and just general courteousness. On a positive note the tacos are very tasty or else o wouldn't put up with it. read more

Traveling for 8 hours making the pit stop for gas and Ladies room. Was craving the go-to Laredo Taco, closed!!! What? 2 employees standing around in the back, all the pans are empty and lights are off!! What a shame. It's 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Town is packed with cars (travelers). Lines are wrapped around the Burger King and McDonalds.... Can't get any carne , tamale, taco, etc... oh well I'll guess I'll spend my money at Subway! Ok, it seems that the basics aren't kept up for a Stripes gas station-no paper receipts at the pump, no soapy water for bug removal. We have gone to Stripes all over Texas and they try to keep a certain standard. Don' know if Stripes Kerrville next to I-10 is a new owner or is not aware of lazy employees-that don't care. Employees might need an hourly checklist -this might help the situation. The taco lady served dry up tacos knowingly & had no intentions making a fresh batch. Teresa, working the register 2/10/18 clearly didn't want to be there. She was rude to almost all customers. I tried being nice and she basically ignored me, didn't say one word. I had to ask for my receipt and at that was like a chore for her. read more

A customer for over 5 years....I'm done. Regularly out of gas....and "Clerk has receipt" is the norm now. I checked out the Valero / Circle K just down the street....they now have my business. !! Clean, friendly and receipts are automatic. Looks and feels brand new....:). read more
