This is the second time that we have used Greg Prew and Striler Home Inspections. We find them to be thorough, professional, and informative. After the inspection, Greg took the time to take us through all of the findings so that we are better prepared to understand our new home. We would use them again without any hesitation. I would not trust them. I thought I could from them being in the first home owners buying class. I thought wrong. They will take no responsibility for anything and write it basically into their clauses you sign so you cannot make any claims. It's very predatory. Honestly disappointed because they did do a good job on my friends house. I suppose it is who you get for an inspector. Overall, I just would avoid them. They missed a cracked bathtub, missing windows in the basement and claimed I have a dirt floor when I didn't. read more

Marc at Striler was the absolute BEST! We are first time home buyers and the inspection is such an intimidating part of buying a home. Marc took the time to explain everything to us and made us feel so comfortable. He answered all of our questions and was there for us every step of the way!! We had the best experience with him and appreciate all he did for us! read more

I have used Striler Home Inspections twice now and have been happy with both inspections. Gregg was my inspector and he took time to explain things to me and was willing to answers all my questions. The inspection report came quickly, the same day, and it was well written and the photos he took were extra helpful. I would highly recommend him and will use him in future inspections. read more

Brian did a great job inspecting our home. We had him come in to a new construction townhouse to check out the property prior to closing. He was very thorough and provided us with a lot of useful information about the house and it's systems. He was able to identify a few punch list items that we had fixed either prior to or shortly after moving in. I highly recommend Brian and Striler if you are looking for a home inspection. read more

Marc is the best! As first time home buyers, there were many things that were new to us, and Marc took the time to explain everything very thoroughly throughout the inspection so that we understood - he saved us from being in a terrible situation with our first home. He had a great attitude and was a pleasure to work with. He did a very thorough job and was very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone - especially first time home buyers! read more

First time homebuyer here, and I was super overwhelmed with who to hire for home inspection services. I read a ton of reviews and heard even more horror stories with missed termites, lazy inspectors, and rushed inspections. After a recommendation, we decided to book Striler and we are so happy we did. Our inspector was prompt, thorough, and friendly. He went above and beyond to really go through the home with us and ensure we understood everything as new home owners. The report came back in 24 hours and it was thorough and easy to understand. Definitely recommend. Pricing: I priced around and everyone was the same price, so save some time and just book with Striler. read more

In time, very professional and thorough. I was not nervous to ask any questions. Brian was excellent. Highly recommend.

We had an inspection completed in February of 2025 for a home we purchased in June. The report from Striler had a few issues which we reviewed with the sellers and were either corrected or allotted monies to correct once the sale went through. After we moved in, the nightmare began. It is now September, and we are still fixing all of the items missed by the inspector. It started with the windows that cannot be opened at all, they are misaligned and are unopenable. On top of that there were storm windows screwed into the molding on the outside trim that were stripped and had to be ripped off of the house to remove them. There were also two windows missing screens and a window in the basement only having plastic on it. We need new windows in 90% of the home. The electrical issues are overwhelming. The report had minor issues, but we decided to have our electrician go through the home and the list is endless with only half being covered by the sellers. Outlets that do are not wired to switches not associated with anything. Next is the basement. I asked the inspector to check the drop ceiling to ensure there were not any rodents. He said it was fine. Today we have exterminators in the house trying to eradicate the infestation. The home has had rodents for years and the drop ceiling is filled with urine, feces, dead and alive rodents. It is overwhelming and was an easy find for the inspector. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The inspector started the inspection before we arrived, rushed through the inspection and all of the items I questioned were not checked as he stated he had done. I asked: Did you open all the windows Do the doors work and lock (there wasn't any keys to 3 of the 4 doors of the home) Outlets not working- only 1 listed in the report Infestation of rodents Gutters clogged with debris and not draining Holes in shingles outside (about 50) from woodpecker Plumbing for washer not to code read more

Striller Home Inspections/Brian Pope is the absolute best! We have now had them inspect two properties for us, and I always learn so much for Brian. He is thorough, knowledgeable, detailed, and patient! We really enjoy learning from him. I highly recommend you hire Striller. read more

Chuck has an amazing amount of knowledge and experience. Using an automated "robot", he meticulously inspected the crawlspace under our home and explained every detail as he covered every sqare inch, top and bottom. His knowledge of manufactured homes such as ours is impressive. It was obvious that his expertise covers a lot more, too. Also to note: his "robot" is equipped with a custom lighting system so that nothing goes unnoticed. Within hours, he produced and sent a comprehensive report. On top all that, the price was right! read more

10/10 recommend using Striler Home Inspections. Chuck and Briand were incredibly thorough, transparent and very helpful and patient explaining all the important details of our home inspection. I really felt confident in their assessments and opinions. Great service all around. read more

I had my home crawl space inspected. Chuck Striler used a robot with a camera to video tape the entire area. He paid special attention to all the critical components. He was very thorough, I was able to watch the video on the monitor as he was filming it. He answered all my questions. He did a great job, super guy to work with and very knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable and well worth it. I would definitely recommend him to do your home inspection. I also got a detailed written report with pictures. I am very happy with the whole experience. Thank you, Chuck read more

I feel as though no stars are deserved. Maybe I just had a poor inspector. I paid $615.00 dollars for my modular home to be inspected and on my report all comments said handyman. Whatever that means. Marc was great! Answered all my questions, and offered to be a continuous resource. Created a really easy to understand guide for a laysperson like myself, so I knew what issues there were and what was in great shape. Highly recommended! And great value! read more

They missed a huge problem in the house we were buying. The inspector told us the chimney looked great, despite half of it being collapsed and costing us $2,000 to fix. When we reached out to them the response we got was "We don't do chimneys". Don't make the mistake we made in trusting this company. Edit to respond: The fact is your inspector looked up the chimney and said it looked great. Did he not notice that half of it was collapsed because he was rushing through the inspection? Which is why he didn't even stay to inspect the 4th bedroom. Or did he just not care to inform us because he isn't required to? read more

Getting ready to buy a new house can be pretty stressful, but having to work with Striler home inspection is not. Marc was extremely informative, and thorough. He had the whole house inspect in 2 hours. Got nothing but words to say about this company and it's employees. read more

We had the pleasure of having Andy from Striler perform the inspection on our new home in Rumford. He was on time, thorough, and patient with all our first-timer questions. He didn't mind having us at his heels for the entire inspection, in fact he suggested it. Our home has a tiny crawlspace to get up into the attic, and Andy cheerfully climbed up there even on a 95º day. Exemplary service, and I would highly recommend Striler to anyone without hesitation. read more

We were very pleased with the thorough report we received regarding the area under our manufactured home. Chuck was able to review each area as we viewed the camera roaming under our home, seeing the condition of our pipes, tiedowns, etc. We then received a full report including pictures. My wife and I were purchasing a home from a family member, and Marc came out to do our inspection. Even though the house was occupied and every room was being utilized, Marc was still able to go through every room and perform the inspection. He was on time, polite, and went through the inspection with me as thoroughly as he could - but since the basement is fully finished, he couldn't comment on all of the "nitty gritty" details of the structure. However, he did put us at ease by explaining what he was looking for on the outside of the interior walls to determine the presence of any major issues happening inside the walls. The home inspection took about an hour and a half. Throughout the inspection, Marc pointed out potential safety hazards both indoors and outdoors (something Marc takes very seriously). That evening, I got an email from him with a detailed report, including photos and numerous comments on over 140 items. I was very impressed with the end result. I would highly recommend Marc for your home inspection! read more

My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home and Marc came out last week to do the inspection. We had scheduled with him 2 other times but we ended up having to cancel both times, and he was super flexible and gracious when we needed to change the plan. The third time ended up being a charm and Marc was awesome! Right off the bat he set our expectation for how the inspection would go, and he would stop after each part of the inspection to ask if we had any questions. Not only was he honest, thorough, informative, and patient with all of our questions, but he was fun and personable, too! The whole process of buying a house for the first time can be incredibly stressful and difficult. It was nice to have a little bit of fun, while learning a ton from him during a process that isn't really known for being very enjoyable. He sent over the report the same night, and it was extremely detailed and very organized. If you decide to go with Marc for your home inspection (which you should), tell him Wes and Chelsea say hi! read more

Amazing experience. I honestly didn't know I could get such great service. Everyone was great. The initial person I spoke with Chuck. He was very helpful and explained the entire procedure. Their website is amazing and very detailed on what's covered and whats not. You can tell they really took their time. Which is why I went with them after speaking with 7 other inspection companies. The actual inspector Marc was amazing too. And very thorough. He explained everything I needed to know and answered my follow up questions in an email. The report I received was so organized and categorized perfectly. Jessica the receptionist was so helpful too. She answered all my emails swiftly. I never waited long for a response. And it's very affordable. 5 stars isn't enough! read more

I am a real estate agent. I have seen my fair share of home inspectors. Chuck and his team are first class. They show up on time, and work efficiently through the inspection. I have had clients ask all sort of question, and never once in 7 years of working with Striler have I had a negative review. Their bedside manner is calm and welcoming so buyers feel educated about their purchase. Then, I sold my house, and entered into a contract to purchase a new. Striler was my go-to choice. Once again the team covered my home and made me feel like I made a good purchase. Their inspection report is loaded with pictures so you'll know what is what, and how to solve things that need to be addressed. I recommend them to my clients and have used them personally. You will not be disappointed. read more

Had Chuck from Striler Home Inspections do my inspection for my first home purchase. Every piece of the entire process was easy and worry-free. They have scheduling on their website where you see the date and times available (had my inspection done within 2 days), which was a great help since the other companies I had to leave messages while they were likely in the middle of other inspections. Chuck completed the the inspection report the same day, despite their website saying next day and it was extremely informative with pictures, graphics, and arrows show items being pointed out. Any question I had for Chuck was answered throughout the process of the inspection and his level of knowledge is extremely high. I will recommend to anyone I know looking for a house. read more

Highly recommended. Chuck did the inspection for us. Very knowledgeable, great attention to detail. We are first-time buyers and very 'noob' about home-owning. Chuck pretty much tutored us during his inspection showing us what he's doing and why he's doing and stuff to keep an eye on for future. Thank you, Chuck! read more

Chuck Striler was timely, thorough, polite, and gave fair pricing for quality work. After the inspection within a few hours I was given an in depth report which was well organized and easy to follow. He categorizes the inspection by different parts of the home and color coordinates each item with importance of repair. If I buy another home in the near future I would certainly use him again and I highly suggest others to do the same. read more

Worked with Chuck for my very first home inspection, he was thorough, explained everything, had a great nose which is unexpectedly important.. he gave me all my options and was transparent enough for me to recognize a bad deal, he presented all of my options, but it was a bit obvious after Chuck pointed out every flaw in the place. Second time around I felt like I knew at least some of the major things to look for so I felt a bit more confident in my choice. This time around I ended up with Marc, the house was thankfully much better (Chuck told me this would happen), Marc was also super thorough, pointed out and explained a bunch of minor flaws, he even explained my heating system and how I could make better use of it. Less to say about Marc I guess, but only because everything went so smoothly.. He seemed to be just as thorough. They both seem like great guys. A+ read more

Through a recommendation from a friend who had hired him twice, Chuck came all the way to Lowell, MA to do a condex inspection. I called him Weds and he was available to schedule on Friday! It was a 1300sqft condo but he spent 2.5-3 hours inspecting everything from top to bottom! Knowing we were new homeowners, he took the time to explain everything that he did, major/minor issues, and things to monitor. He took pictures of everything he inspected and provided us with a detailed and comprehensive report within 12 hours. He also provided us with additional information including a handbook. Additionally, he was really pleasant, informative, knowledgeable, and funny. What's even better is that Chuck's rates were much more affordable than other inspection companies! I highly recommend him to all my friends and family. read more

I cannot recommend a company any higher than I would recommend Chuck and Striler Home Inspections. After researching the home inspector my broker suggested, we found a few concerns and decided to find our own. After a voicemail was left asking about his services and availability, Chuck got right back to my boyfriend, answered his questions, reminding him there are no stupid questions and told us he could be available 3 days away. Throughout the inspection, Chuck (and his apprentice Mark) were courteous, friendly, thorough, respectful, and clearly knowledgeable. Unfortunately for us - the house was full of problems and we walked away. The report that Chuck gave to us not only gave a full, color-coded description of problems and concerns but there were photos that went along with the descriptions, complete with arrows pointing to exactly what was described. It was impressive and our broker commended him for his work and us for finding him. When we are in the position to have our next (and hopefully final!) home inspected, we will be using Chuck. read more

Chuck is amazing! We have a quick closing date and he squeezed my inspection in last minute. I had an inspection with Striler Home Inspection recently on a house my wife and I are purchasing in Holliston. Chuck was wonderful. He was on time and prepared when he got there. During the inspection, he took the time to explain everything to me very carefully and show me everything he was going to note in the report. He took many photos as well. He happily answered any and all question I had and carefully looked at anything I told him I was concerned with. He seemed to have a thorough understanding of all areas of the inspection. We recently had an inspection on a home (over 500sf larger than this one) that we ended up not buying (see my previous review of the "other" home inspector) and this inspection was literally twice as long. That's how much more thorough Chuck was. The inspection report was emailed to me by Chuck later that night. The report impressed me. Everything was color coded (safety issue, maintenance item, things to keep an eye on) so it was easy to make sure you didn't miss anything important. Most of the noteworthy items had photos with a red arrow pointing out any damage or issues. I highly recommend using Striler Home Inspections. Even my realtor, who has worked with many inspectors, was very impressed. read more
