5 Stars for a very welcoming spot to work out!…read more Y'all. OTF is no joke. This was my first time at an Orange Theory and I got a serious workout! Thankfully, everyone there was incredibly friendly and informative. I arrived 30 minutes early since it was my first class (and there were things for me to sign and fill out). The gals at the desk got me all set up with a heart monitor - you can buy these or rent them, but they're complimentary for first timers. They also explained the theory behind OTF, where you are trying to keep your heartrate in a certain "zone" to keep burning calories throughout the day after your workout. They also introduced me to the trainer and he set me and a few other newbies up to explain the rowing machine (including good form) and the various areas of the room. And then we began! If I can give you any advice, it is don't try to beat everyone the first time. Go at your own pace and pace yourself. Need a smaller set of weights? Ask, because they have 5 lb weights that are not as visible. At some point I was jogging on the treadmill and my heart rate was in the red pretty early, so the trainer suggested I go to a fast walk pace and up the incline to 10. This did the trick! It was a great booty workout, but I wasn't DYING. Overall, a really fun class with a great instructor (South African dude).

Working retail, my schedule is all over the place so having the flexibility to attend a late night class is amazing. The studio manager, Sarah, is also one of the instructors and I really enjoy her classes.

The sessions are never repetitive or boring - Abe keeps them fresh and tailored. We always leave feeling stronger, more energized, and more confident. Creek fit is a local gym for residents . You can't be the cost at $50 per year for weights and $100…read moreper year for everything including classes and ability to choose the South creek gym too. The North gym just got renovated new flooring and equipment. There is equipment for cardio, legs, arms and abs . There is a free weight area along with two different areas for pulleys to add bars . There is also a small room set aside to do floor work, pinching bag, or smaller dumbbells and balls. There is also mats available to use, pulleys, dumbbells and exercise balls down the hallways . I believe some are for classes but can be used if you ask the staff . The hours during the week, Monday through Thursday are from 6 am to 10Pm; Fridays from 6 AM to 8PM; and Saturday and Sundays from 8AM to 4 PM. Of course the best times that are less busy are later . Mondays always busy in all gyms. There are a variety of classes to choose from Zumba, spinning, yoga, cardio and sculpt, body sculpting, and a new barbell one, etc. The H.I.T.T classes are extra charge . They also have the Silver sneakers at no charge for seniors under the insurance plan . The facilities are super clean and upgraded.. There are lockers to use on a daily basis only. They also have showers and a separate changing room to use . I have seen the cleaning staff come in all of the time when I leave the gym. It always smells nice and clean. The equipment and room are always being cleaned at the end of the night as I see them begin 15 minutes before closing . There are spray bottles and paper towels available to wipe down the equipment should you choose to do so . Many members do this so they are always clean . If there is ever an issue that one is not clean, such as, sweat being left behind, the staff takes care of it immediately when informed . There is a water fountain if needed but they also have a vending machine to purchase drinks and snacks too. The staff is always friendly and helpful . All in all, I love coming to this gym.

I don't live in this city so I assumed that non residents couldn't participate, but it turns out you can -- just for a couple more dollars than the residents pay. It's a bargain! Tonight I came to try their adult Zumba class. I'd been talking to Ariel W about it after hearing that she came here. Ariel was nice enough to get all the information for me and we arranged to meet a bit early so we could walk in together. At the check in desk, I explained that I was a guest and "first timer". I signed in and filled out a waiver. By then it was on to the class. Turns out that have a fully equipped gym here and offer all sorts of classes and even personal trainers. There is a schedule of events and classes by the check in desk. Woohoo! They let me try my first class for free. What a nice surprise. The class began promptly at 7:30 and ran the entire hour. Thank goodness I was able to pull from my vague memory of past dance classes as the pace was pretty fast. Had a few good laughs at myself trying to follow along and keep up. Sometime I had no idea what was going on; but It was still a lot of fun. The other people in the class seemed very nice. The instructor even stopped by afterwards as we were chatting to welcome me to class. Thank you Ariel for making this happen. It's so much more motivating and a lot more enjoyable when you have someone else working along with you. Now if I can still walk tomorrow, I may even come back next week..

*(Since the name has the word salutation, I will use the most common salutation in America!)…read more DEAR hot salutation, You are the perfect amount of heat while working out. My body adapts to the heaters in the studio just fine and the heat makes me detox and sweat out all the bad toxins. I like to bring my water bottle to class but limit the amount of drinking while in your studio. Personally, I like to hydrate before and after class. I like how each instructor has a different style of heat to spice up any of the classes offered. And there are many classes offered which help the people who do not have a 9-5 job. One thing I wish was better was the spacing! It's a very teeny weeny studio and some classes I can't properly stretch enough because I feel I might bump into the person next to me! Overall, dear hotty you got many yogis such as myself who appreciate this studio! Sincerely, Me ~

The instructor for the night, Tamira I believe, was great! She helps correct you. For someone who is rusty on position names and correct posture, she was helpful doing certain positions close to me. The room is quaint and I enjoy the close knit family feeling of the studio. The heat is at the perfect temperature and the air is not so heavy I can't breathe. There's also a humidifier on to compliment the heat. Overall, very good first hot yoga experience. Will be coming back.
