It did not feel like a dedicated, patient-focused recovery environment. Instead, it felt more like therapy going through the motions to check boxes. I was never tested to assess how far or how much weight I could handle, and there did not appear to be a structured recovery plan tailored to me. The approach felt more like, "Let's see what we can do next," rather than having a clear progression strategy. When you complete an exercise, you are expected to wave and wait for someone to come over and suggest the next activity in order to fill the hour. My second visit was even more hands-off. No one stayed with me at the stations to ensure I was performing the exercises correctly or to make adjustments as needed. Perhaps those who rated this location five stars are either receiving more direct attention or are new to physical therapy and therefore may not recognize the lack of individualized plans .

After the visit, I can honestly say I'm very glad I chose him. The entire experience was smooth and professional. Booking was easy, the front desk staff was friendly, and I was seen in less than five minutes. The X-ray technician was also very kind and made the process comfortable. Dr. Romero was patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to explain what was going on, answered my questions, and even personally performed the ultrasound (both knee and shoulder), which I really appreciated. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and takes pride in giving a complete, hands-on evaluation. I had a great experience and would highly recommend Dr. Romero to anyone looking for an orthopedic doctor who is professional, efficient, and truly attentive. I will most certainly be returning to him in the future whenever needed.

Please consult this review prior to seeking care from Christopher Fanella or Dr. Fishman:…read more In 2021, I saw Dr. Fishman and his PA Christopher Fanella, for chronic back pain. An MRI was performed, and the radiologist's report clearly noted a congenital birth defect called lipomyelomeningocele. Despite this being documented in the report, Fishman and Fanella disregarded that finding and told me I was "fine," that I've had this issue since birth, and attributed my pain solely to disc bulging and herniation. I followed their recommendations, including physical therapy. Over the years, my pain persisted and physical therapy failed to provide AND relief. I tried to manage my pain the best I could with intermittent steroids and naproxen to no avail. The whole process was physically and emotionally debilitating. Finally, In 2025, I returned to their care due to excruciating pain and underwent another MRI. The findings related to tethered cord syndrome (lipomyelomeningocele) remained unchanged. Yet again, instead of further evaluating this congenital condition or referring me to a neurosurgeon, Mr. Fanella continued to recommend more physical therapy and said the defect that the defect that the radiologist noted for a SECOND time had nothing to do with the excruciating pain I was experiencing. He referred me back to PT despite me telling him that it was making my condition worse. After multiple failed attempts at physical therapy, I sought care from another back specialist, Dr. Vecchione. Upon reviewing my MRI, that doctor immediately referred me to a neurosurgeon. In 2026, nearly 5 years after my initial visit with Dr. Fishman, I was formally diagnosed with tethered cord syndrome/spina bifida by a neurosurgeon which is the cause of my extreme , chronic lower back pain that I have endured for over 10 years. Because this office failed to take the time to fully evaluate my MRI findings or investigate the tethered cord noted as far back as 2021, I endured years of misdiagnosis, unmanaged pain, and significant mental health distress. I am now facing the possibility of surgery to untether my spinal cord; something I was explicitly told years ago was "nothing to worry about." If this was not caught when it was, I could have had life changing consequences for something as routine as receiving an epidural during childbirth. My condition has worsened, and I have lost valuable years during which earlier intervention and monitoring could have made a meaningful difference. I strongly encourage patients to stay away from this practice. You will not receive individualized, intentional treatment. Your pain and MRI results will not be taken seriously, and you will likely end up in a PT mill

In my Search for a facility that that would accept my Medicare insurance, I came across Atlantic…read morerehab center. From my initial visit when I verified coverage I was impressed with the nearly one to one personalized care. I bring this up because I have been at other physical therapy locations that have like a 3 to 1 patient/therapist ratio and often times the patient (me) ended up standing around waiting for further guidance. This is not my first shoulder surgery recovery so I knew what to expect and the staff from Monica on down to the physical therapy students were compassionate and supportive during this process. I might add that this recovery process from shoulder surgery is an ordeal (I mean PAIN-FULL) typically lasting 12 weeks. The best results are three times a week to prevent the shoulder from freezing up. I successfully regained full range of motion in all axes without too much discomfort and the time goes by I'm slowly working on increasing strength. I will definitely return to Atlantic rehab physical therapy for any future care at this location as they really do a wonderful job.

Cancelled due to insurance not in network despite the office "verifying" the insurance plan prior to my first and second visits. Expects me to pay $100 for visits when I've paid $30 the last two times & which incurred a $140 mistake on their end they want me to pay for. Simply unacceptable as now my recovery time for a ruptured Achilles is further delayed.
