You can see he genuinely loves what he does, and more importantly KNOWS what he is doing, not just because he knows the science, but also because he has years of experience of watching muscles being molded. He makes the gym routines work. The gym itself is well equipped, and small enough that everyone is watched. You prepay for a fixed number of days (you choose) every month, everything is transparent, and you get circuit routines designed by Wally every week; which can modified for someone post-physical therapy or for someone training competitively - this is where the trainer's watchful eye comes in. While consistency is key to any fitness routine or gym, a good trainer and a friendly community can make this change easier, faster and injury-free. One of the best gyms in Augusta!

Laurie listens to your goals and assess' them to then create an individual plan that is totally doable and achievable. I've always felt like she has wanted me to succeed in all my fitness goals. My favorite part has been that there have been times where I couldn't be in studio due to my schedule, but still needed to tone up and shred some fat; she was able to successfully create macro plans for me that helped me do just that. I've never worked out with her or had a plan that I worked hard at, that didn't produce results.. and she was there cheering me on the whole way!

Over the years I have traveled the country training at dozens of gyms and have competed in boxing, kickboxing, submission grappling and mixed martial arts. During this time I've been privy to many relationships with strength and conditioning coaches. Chris is amongst the highest echelons of anyone I've ever encountered. His nickname at my old jiu jitsu gym was 'the scientist' due to the detailed methodologies he deployed while training athletes there. If you asked him any question about any aspect of athletic performance related to sport or otherwise, he would rattle off a comprehensive research and experience based answer that would answer your query and then some. I want to emphasize the latter half of that. EXPERIENCE based as well as research based. I've encountered many professionals in my life at this point and I've noticed that regardless of the field they're in, if they are passionate about what they do for a long enough period of time, if they are constantly absorbing and applying new information, they tend to become more artists than scientists. Chris falls into this category. He has all of the knowledge and as long as I've known him he has been, and continues to be, obsessed with his craft. On top of his knowledge base he is intuitive at this point. This intuition is an attribute that can't be taught to someone, it is hard earned and takes many years to develop. So I just came across ISI on Facebook and I've been seeing the sign for a while but I thought no you need to be a little more fit to join lol but I signed up anyway for a 7 day trial period. And let me tell you it was the best thing I could have done for myself. The first week I wanted to quit because everything was hurting, muscles were on fire but I kept going. Then I wanted to quit after my first weigh-in because I didn't see results yet. Well, how could I when not changing certain habits? Nutrition and sleep are huge factors. Well I kept going and I am over 1 year going strong and I lost not only lbs and inches but I have gained extended family and friends. This place has it all Accountability, amazing coaches, clean facility, visible childcare included, friendly people and drama-free environment plus people are ranging from 18 to probably in their late 60 s.
