It's small enough that clients receive personal attention/help during group circuit training. The guidance and tips from trainers Goran & Mia absolutely improved my somewhat marginal positioning during various exercises. And they constantly watch out for people so they don't overdo. But be clear, if they know you can do a few more reps, they will cheer you on to squeeze a few more in. Goran says once it starts to feel like you are getting tired from the reps, try to do 5 more because those last 5 are the ones that really count to tax your muscles so they will strengthen. Everyone is encouraging and kind and truly wants to see you improve and get stronger. This resistance training method is exactly what I was looking for but could never find. I wanted to build muscle and maintain bone density, but did not want to go to a sweaty gym with grunting body builders & intimidating trainers who "kicked my butt". I had had one too many workouts like that. As a mom with small kids, I had to be able to bend down, carry my kids, & go up & down stairs without wincing in pain. Killer workouts were no longer going to work for me. With kids, I didn't have the luxury of taking days to recover. I had all but given up on resistance training, until I saw a Gilt City coupon for GHFitLab. With little to lose, I tried it & loved it. Aside from the wonderful trainers, the atmosphere is very relaxed & very personalized. The workouts are controlled & focus on isolating specific muscle groups to gain strength & flexibility. The goal is to train the muscles without straining or overworking them. Unlike past training experiences, I leave the gym feeling energized, not exhausted. I've significantly increased my overall muscle strength & definition & have maintained my bone density. I would recommend GHFitlab to anyone looking for a focused resistance workout that gives results.

I was pulling up to Shred415 one day when I noticed Sweatshack a few doors down. I asked the front…read moredesk staff if they knew anything about it and they said Jordan Shackelford (the owner) had opened it up as a personal training studio. I checked out their website and was super excited to see that some of my favorite shred instructors (Jordan, Meg, Jenny and Courtney to name a few) were now available for personal training sessions. And it was so easy to book- right thru the mind body app. I booked a session with Jenny since I always like her Shred classes since she's very clear on exactly what you're doing next. And when you're about to run up a hill I personally want to know ahead of time! She was just as good of a trainer and we did a 45 minute circuit focusing on the entire body with some bursts of cardio. It was challenging, but doable...and I was shaking from the workout 30 minutes after I left. I workout a lot and can't remember the last time that happened! They also offer pilates sessions, which I may try at some point. I'm on a lagree kick right now because I was finding pilates to be a little slow, but have a feeling that won't be the case with their trainers. The pricing is a little expensive compared to what I've seen. For 45 minutes it was $110, but you can also book a 2 on 1 training session for $90 or a 3 on 1 session for $75. My friend and I booked a future session with Jenny, but if you don't have someone to go with you can book the 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 option...and someone else can sign up at the same time. And if you buy a package of 10 thru the mindbody app it's $50 off, which i'll likely do after i give it a few more tries and decide it's something I"d like to invest in. I'm hoping the have other good deals on packages like they offered at Shred415. I look forward to getting my butt kicked here by Jenny and/or the other trainers here soon!

Maggie was the welcoming receptionist and she provided a gift t-shirt to the birthday girl (part of the BD package) and got everyone signed in and made sure they had all of their waiver forms signed haha.  This place isn't cheap (ballpark $600 for the birthday package per the daughter) but it seems you get what you pay for - a clean and well maintained facility, a staffer to direct the kids' activities and help serve food, plenty of fun ninja activities to choose from, a private room (there are 2 of them) for the birthday meal, and pizza (by Viccino's, a local favorite anyway) and fruit provided from a local vendor, plates and utensils, and most importantly - a big and grand blast of a time for all the kiddo participants and us by-standers as well.  Apparently, you can also bring your own food in, but there is a healthy $25 per entree charge for doing so, and besides it's an additional hassle.  There is a downstairs and upstairs party room and both are nice and spacious.  One of my grand-darlings has been here several times as a birthday party guest, and she has always had a great time.  I didn't pay, but I still can say a big thumbs up for this place!
