I felt lost the entire time and just felt like I was out of place since I couldn't do any of the poses. One of my friends recently started her own yoga practice and in my desire to support her, I have found myself doing yoga way more than I ever thought I would. I am definitely more open to it now, realizing that I really struggle with breathing. I know that sounds ridiculous but I really have a hard time slowing down and getting into a good, relaxing rhythm. Which probably means I should practice more. I walked by Updog Yoga's beautiful building and felt intrigued. I looked it up and it was extremely easy to find their schedule and book it online. I chose the 6am indoor hot yoga with Mark Wilson and it was absolutely amazing! The group was small and the ambiance was very intimate. Mark immediately made me feel welcome, showing me around and letting me know what to expect. I highly recommend his class! There was a variety of skill levels in the room and Mark did an amazing job offering variations and alternative poses. The space itself is very calming. I immediately felt relaxed as soon as I walked in. I will definitely drop in some other time!

The welcoming and encouraging environment at Studio POP is what someone like me needed to start a regular routine of working out and yoga practice. When you're cycling, the lights are off and LED colored lights on the mirrors play to the music. This is my favorite since you don't have to worry about people seeing you get ugly if you need to! The music is upbeat and is the main focus of the ride, where trainers like my favorite, Nicole, ride to the beat of the song and incorporate fun moves to keep you going. On top of that, they always have the most encouraging and motivational words to share! Their yoga room is the complete opposite of the cycling room, very calm and serene. Classes are a very open environment for people from beginner to advanced, and instructors, while all having different styles of teaching, always offer an option that is either less strenuous or lets you go further with the pose. The entire staff is super friendly, and the owner, Abbie, is a bundle of joy! The facility is top notch and is always immaculate. They even have private showers so you can get ready for wherever you're going afterwards! This is the place to -invest- in your temple!

We started off with a yoga class, which definitely worked on many muscle groups (Core, back, leg, arm, and shoulder) to improve strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. The instructor had a very calm, soothing, and encouraging voice that helped us relax and ease and transition smoothly into the class. Following that, we jumped right into the spin class (indoor cycling workout) and pedaled very intensely to work on our hamstrings, quadriceps, and gluteal muscles. The spin instructor had great energy and was very motivating, which kept us going as long as we could. The music and lighting were also very upbeat and bright. One of the things I loved most about Hotworx is the convenience--you simply book your session through the app, head to your private sauna room, set the temperature to your preference, and follow the workout displayed on the screen. I usually went early in the morning since I often had the room to myself. The studio is open 24/7, and while staff have set business hours, you can always access the building with your phone. Occasionally, they even provided essential oils to enhance the atmosphere, which was such a nice touch. Before entering the sauna, you'll need their special yoga mat (shoes stay outside), and there are cubbies to store your belongings. Beyond the saunas, there's also a weight room so you can round out your training with strength exercises. The location is well-equipped with showers and a separate bathroom, making it easy to work out and freshen up without rushing home. The staff and members were always welcoming, which gave the studio a real sense of community. They also host workshops on proper technique as well as fun social events like block parties.
