I'll start wit the pros. Gym is always super clean. Cleaning crew always doing their thing, like…read morethey're on it. And the staff they're pretty friendly and helpful, they're quick to cater to your needs if necessary. I like the fact that it's working walking distance from my apt. If u are a cardio bunny, you'll always find a cardio machine available for u, wether it's a stepper, elliptical, treadmill. You name it they have it. No lack in equipment. Now as far as cons, I hate the fact of how crowded it gets. If u have the blink Fitness App, there's a feature that says "know before you go" something along the lines. It supposed to tell you how busy/crowded it is before you step in, tell u the capacity by percentage ( 25%, 50%, 75% etc). That's never accurate and they underplay it. I tend go do early morning when they 1st open up 5:30am, small crowd for the most part and you can have access to most of the machines or equipment you need without wait. I love it early mornings, in and out, get what I need to get done and I'm outta there great start to the day. But there's also times we're I can't make it in the morning so if my schedule allows I'll have to go in the afternoon. Not favorable for me, but I've come to realize that a good timeframe, we're the gym is overwhelmingly crowded is from 12-4pm. Anything after that blink turns into a night club. I also find it that late night, like an hr or so before they about to close is usually empty as well, most ppl have left and that time the crew is getting ready to start setting up for the next day (re-racking weights, cleaning). Almost forgot The elevator takes ages, to go up or down, Jesus Christ. Gotta speed it up, something. So overall it's a great blink, it's close, very neat and clean 99% of the time, friendly staff and a decent amount of machines. For the price you can't beat it. My only issue is the overcrowding at certain times that I try to avoid when possible, but other than that I would Deff recommend this location if your thinking bout signing up.

THERE IS NO GYM THAT CAN COMPARE TO THIS ONE! As a person,…read morewho has always struggle going to the gym consistently, eating balanced/healthy meals, and overall loosing weight, this gym has changed my life. I came in last year in July, with the intention of just loosing weight but after a whole year of being consistent I have not only lost weight, but have gained muscle, became confident in my body physically and MENTALLY, developed a better relationship with food, and much more. I started with Danny when I was 240 pounds. Today I am 182 pounds, mentally and physically stronger, understand my anatomy and how MY body works, and confident of my abilities. I didn't deprive myself, in fact I had plenty of cheat meals. This gym taught me discipline and balance. What makes this gym different, is not only do you have an awesome trainer, but you have a COMMUNITY of people who encourages and pushes you. Danny, trains you and also teaches you, so that you can understand the exercises, your body and mind. You are not just there to just do the exercises, You will always leave learning something new. The workouts can be challenging but it's fun and he switches it up and personalizes it appropriately to your level. No matter what level you are at, or if you have never worked out before in your life, or even have a disability, Danny is educated and overly experienced. This gym is for everyone and anyone who wants to make changes.

Dani is an incredible trainer -- knowledgeable, motivating, and always pushing you to your best. He has so much to teach, and if you dedicate yourself, you'll see real results just like I did. One of the things I loved most (besides getting my butt kicked in the best way!) is the strong community built at this gym. It's not a place for people who just want to pass the time -- it's for people who want to get fit, grow, and be part of a supportive environment. I've since moved to California, but if there's one thing I truly miss from New York, it's training with Dani. I highly recommend this gym to anyone ready to commit and transform their fitness!

I am thrilled I found this amazing gym. I mostly swim and do yoga, but since I'm a woman over 50,…read moremy doctor has told me I need to lift weights and do other types of strength training. But I have a hard time doing it on my own - it just seems so boring compared to other sorts of exercise. But Uptown Movement changed this for me. I signed up for the unlimited classes, and I went 2-3 times a week. I've been at it for about two years now, and the difference in my overall fitness and well-being is huge. There is a friendliness to this place, an openness to great diversity in terms of age, race, sexuality, body size and type, language, etc. that is immensely appealing. I like the coaches and my classmates (mostly women) enough to make me want to go. The emphasis is never on how one looks or losing weight - it's always on increasing mobility and strength, especially as one ages. Before I started taking these classes, I had back problems (especially when picking up my 70-pound dog to bathe her), and I often sprained an ankle (weakened by a bad injury in my youth) and sometimes fell (my dog pulls me a lot). For the last 2 years, I haven't sprained my ankle, haven't been injured falling (and have hardly ever fallen at all), and more. And I can now deadlift my weight. In sum, I think this gym is great, and I encourage you to do your body (and mind) a great favor and join.

The classes and instructors here are amazing. Where to start? The air conditioning never works properly,…read moreso they cram large industrial fans which people fight over or point directly at themselves. The locker room ALWAYS smells. The floors are usually wet. The lockers are generally fine. Again, they have put a fan in there blowing at the toilets so you get that nice "Eau de Shit" because the air conditioning doesn't work. They have a machine in there that has never been on the entire time I've been a member. Fix the air, please. The gym floor is a lot better these days with the new equipment, but it still doesn't make up for the number of "trainers" that do not work there training several people at once, planting themselves up at a machine, that will now take even longer because every person they are training needs to use it. I can understand one or two people, but training like 4 or more people is out of pocket and just disrespectful to the folks just trying to get through their workout. Why did you guys move ALL the mats upstairs and not even say anything or put a notice up? Is it possible to sell protein snacks too? Lastly, the staff, for the most part, they never greet, smile, or seem happy to be there. Except the guy I'm guessing is the manager and the actual trainer they hired. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of kids that could give two shits about this job. They have a whole life ahead of them outside of PF one hopes. They aren't my kids. I'm talking to the owner, whoever you are. We appreciate the equipment you got to compete with Crunch, but we, the neighborhood, need more from our only gym in the area. Step it the fuck up, please!
