I have had the worst experience with Carol from Bell Travel! We booked a group trip to Mexico…read morethrough her for a wedding. Soon after she took our payment, things started to go wrong. Air Canada Vacations cancelled our direct flight (which we paid a premium for) and replaced it with a flight that had a 2 hour layover in toronto, each way! Now our 6 hours of travel doubled.. again, each way. I realize that this is the fault of Air Canada, but since we booked though Bell Travel, Air Canada will not deal with the customer directly, leaving it up to Carol to get some sort of compensation for us. She did not do this. Promises were made at the time of booking that the group would all be next to each other in the hotel (one of the main reasons we chose to book as a group). Again, she did not follow up with the hotel on this and we were spread out over the hotel.. Not one of us was even in the same section as anyone else! When I emailed her privately, asking some questions about my upcoming travel, she CC'd everyone in the group her response to my private email! Talk about unprofessional! In general, when speaking with her, I found that rather than answering a question she would dance around it. In speaking with the other members of my group, they all felt the same way. I would NEVER book with Carol from Bell Travel ever again.. I found her to be rude, lazy & unprofessional & I hope this saves someone from having the same horrible experience that I did.

The response I received was basically a form letter.. none of my concerns were addressed directly and the letter was almost rude. I will never book with a travel agent again.. especially not one with Bell Travel.

Vacation Planning + Review…read more EDA Travel Ltd is a nice little agency that is tucked away into a tiny shopping plaza. It is by far one of the smallest places you'll find with almost no way to recognize it as it does not stick out from it's surrounding stores at all! They barely have any advertising or signage outside and they definitely don't have any colorful displays of anything that will draw your attention to them, but that being said, it is everything on the inside that counts; from a travel agency stand point, that is referring to their staff. Our family has been planning a vacation to Japan in Asia and a friend in Richmond recommended someone by the name of Elsa to us that works at EDA. She is a wonderful person with a definite heart that is willing to work out anything and everything for your traveling needs. She helped us organize all our travel plans from flight, taxi, tours, and hotels without a single bit of pressure. She even continued to help us shop for deals AFTER hotels have already been booked. So even after reserving hotels, she would send us information for a cheaper and better hotels around the same area, then proceed to help us do all the paper work. Our trip isn't due till mid-May, but judging from the attention to detail, friendly staff, and no pressure attitude, this trip is already looking pretty great! If you're looking for a Chinese travel agency and around the Richmond area, give this place a shot, or maybe just walk in and ask for information so you can judge their service yourself. You should be relatively pleased.
