This location smells like sewage. It hasn't always, but has for the last few months. I can't even shop here it's so gross.

When I stopped in once looking for plastic silverware (random, I know), not only could I not find it, but I also did not recognize many of the items on the shelves. That said, there were dozens of people shopping on a Thursday afternoon, and everything was very well organized with a smooth flow throughout the store. Mom's is a specialty store, I think that is the best word, with solid options depending on what you are looking for. As noted in other reviews, this is a smaller and more curated market. It feels somewhere between a Trader Joes and Whole Foods in terms of atmosphere and selection. It is not meant to replace your big weekly grocery run, but it really shines when you are shopping for high quality organic produce, sustainable products, or plant based alternatives. The bulk food section looked great, and there were lots of local options for dairy, meat, eggs, and more. Parking is easy-ish, especially compared to other grocery stores in the area. Checkout was quick, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful when I had questions. Overall, if you are open to a different kind of grocery experience that is smaller, thoughtful, and centered on organic and local products, Mom's is definitely worth a visit. It may not be your everyday grocery store, but that might be exactly why it works.

Their employees were kind, welcoming, and happy to serve. I commend Mom's. They showed up to serve their community when things got tough. This is what running a successful business looks like. I highly recommend Mom's for their quality and service. I will continue to be a loyal customer.

I love that this place opens late. I ran out of an ingredient mid-recipe, and then literally Google searched 'Asian grocery' that 'opens late' and this popped up in my feed. Thank the heavens! Took a gamble since I don't live in the River Place apartment complex, where this store is located. Just find street parking after hours and you're golden! (Prob not ideal to go during rush hour when this area gets busy). In the grocery section, they sell rice cakes, a small set of veggies/produce (cabbage, green onion, garlic, ginger, carrots, limes), kimchi and different refrigerated Korean noodles at an affordable price! What a hidden gem! You can also get standard sundries, sauces (some fancy soy sauces!), sports drinks, ice cream and things like dog food, toiletries. It seems like they know their audience - all the young professionals who live in the area. The American sundries tend to be pricier. The cashier was super friendly and said hi to her regulars. She also helped me find what I was looking for, and offered some quick cooking tips. Loved her warmth and hospitality!

I took a night off from cooking after taking home a bag full of goodies from the market! Here are my favorite vendors: - Savor Ethiopic (5/5) - The spongy injera, yellow lentils, spicy lentils, cabbage, collard greens gomen, potatoes & carrots, and quinoa were all bursting with flavor and hit the spot! Generous portion and enjoyed all the dishes! - Ozfeka - The savory Veggie Borek stuffed with spinach and feta weaved between layers of thin flaky phyllo dough is quite filling and full of flavor. The large square slice was more than enough for my hubby and I to share. The staff was super nice kindly giving out samples of the tasty lentil rice mixture. So tempted to buy some - next time! - Bread & Water (5/5) - The flaky croissant was divine. There were only a handful of pastries left around 6:30pm. Get there early for your top pick! While some of the other freshfarm markets get crowded in Arlington, this evening market is low-key and packs a punch! Looking forward to coming back!

There were two people in front of us when we ordered a chicken madness, a grilled cheese, and some fries, and yet, it took FOREVER to come out. We were pretty pissed when we finally sat down to eat. Speaking of sitting down, there's nowhere to sit! We literally perched on the steps of a fire escape between a dumpster and a rat trap--excellent dining conditions. At this point, we were going to hate the food no matter what, but we can't even report that we grudgingly liked it because it was so awful. The chicken madness had tiny pieces that were flying out of the bun, and they couldn't even bother putting the knife through the bottom slice to cut it fully in half. The meat-pepper mixture had zero salt and there was NO pickle included (though promised) to have some acidity to cut through the grease of it all. Our daughter put away her grilled cheese because she was beyond hangry, but the fries were limp and sad. UGH--why would anybody willingly order food from here?? Oh, let's talk about the cookies. Do you like the taste of stale butter and feeling like you just bit into the greasiest cookie imaginable? That's what it's like to sample the M&M and oreo cookie. Maybe this place is amazing at 2:00 am in the morning after a night at the bars. But in the light of day on a Sunday afternoon? Two stars, and that's rounding up. Do not go here unless you want to reenact a scene from Waiting for Godot but make it Guy Fieri-themed.

We came in, found what we needed, checked out, and were back out the door without any issues. The convenience and walkability were definitely the biggest perks. That said, my colleague has told me some horror stories about the parking situation here, plus the higher prices and people loitering outside. Luckily, we walked over so we avoided the parking chaos entirely. Based on my experience alone, it was fine -- but it seems like timing and how you get here might make a big difference.

Parking: You have to drive down into an underground parking lot. That's cool, but you had to spend a $10 minimum to get free parking. Bet-let me get my little list together and head in. Shopping Experience-the store is nicely organized and the staff is friendly. I easily found everything that I needed to get. Upon exiting the store, I asked about how to get out of the parking area without having to pay. I was told that I would need to use the barcode on the receipt to scan out of the parking garage (remember this later in my review). Parking: I made an error and followed someone exiting the parking area and they ended up going further into the parking garage instead of going up. That was my mistake. I was in an area with taped paper arrows. It honestly looked like the area that Michael Jackson danced in within the Bad video. You know the video-they were dancing/fighting. I knew I had to get out of that parking garage or I might've seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Exiting the parking garage was its own thing. The exit bar is on a 45 degree incline. Hope you aren't driving a manual. I scanned the barcode on the receipt-that did not work. FYI-there is a separate receipt attachment with a barcode that needs to be scanned-not the receipt itself. Oh Safeway-what an adventure this location is.
