Last night I called here and Brian literally picked up and spoke with me about availability. He was free first thing this morning and we set up a time for him to come. Car was at my house, in the driveway, Brian was friendly, professional, and most importantly- thorough. Found a few areas that needed repair and I was happy that it was reasonable compared to taking it to a major shop. Cracks and dings are important to fix right away. They can turn into something worse so fast, so especially with the high cost of replacement, I'd gladly keep calling Brian to come out moving forward. I know that filling a star or a crack is not going to magically make it invisible- but what it will do is prevent future damage from that specific spot. Lifetime warranty, just great service. I casually mentioned I was getting my windshield fixed tomorrow in Lilburn at Safelite and it was going to be around $1,000 (insurance wouldn't cover it). My appointment was at 1:00, (3 hours minimum) and they couldn't promise it would be $1k, might be more, depending on what they ended up having to do. Stephen said, MOM...they are the most expensive place! Did you call around for estimates?" Well, I had just asked a few people and they all said Safelite. If you know me, you will have a hard time believing I didn't call around. I squeeze a dime until it screams - but this time I didn't. I googled and found a company in Grayson that had all 5 stars with many reviewers. I called and spoke to Jonathan (who I found out later was the owner). He quoted less than half the price Safelite quoted AND THEY WOULD COME TO MY HOUSE!!! OK, now I'm listening. I want you to know he was at my house a couple of hours later, installed the windshield, calibrated it (Toyota's have to be calibrated with a windshield change), cleaned my dashboard and sat with me to explain everything he did. This is a family-owned business. Nicest man you will ever meet. I am so thankful for him and all the events that led up to this! Honest, amazing work and fun to talk to! We were methodical about it... until we met the crew at Solo Motorsports. For the last 3 years now, we've had all of our service issues handled there and have never had a single complaint. They are a small shop, with high personal detail given to each customer. Each time either I or my wife walk in or even call... they know who we are. They've made practical suggestions to keep our vehicle running longer and then made fun suggestions to see if we wanted to turn our quiet unassuming family SUV into a yuppie rocket wagon from hell!! We have always said that this is one of those vehicles that we will own until it dies. With help from Solo Motorsports... we plan on enjoying it and keeping it running for as long as possible. Was told that they charge 3% for processing any card payment, though it is not reflected on the invoice and neither did they say anything about it when taking the card. When I mentioned that I would have appreciated having been told about it at the time of payment as it would have allowed me to consider other forms of payment, the fee was refunded but the response that followed is what I can only categorize as rude and unpleasant. Not recommended.
