The atmosphere was stylish, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. We shared several Mediterranean bites, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and each dish was packed with flavor. The cocktails were excellent, and my husband especially enjoyed the Japanese whiskey flight, which was a fun way to sample a variety of unique whiskeys. It was a great addition to the meal and made the experience feel even more special. As fans of Pera Mezze House in Roseville, we were excited to learn that Meyhouse shares the same ownership, and the same attention to quality and hospitality definitely shines through. Great food, delicious drinks, and wonderful service. We look forward to coming back the next time we're in Palo Alto!

A disappointing second visit after an amazing first experience…read more Our experience at Meyhouse has been mixed, which is especially disappointing given how much we loved it the first time. We first visited about 1.5-2 years ago for dinner, and it was easily a 5/5 experience. The food, drinks, and dessert were all fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we were excited to return. Unfortunately, our second visit in October 2026 was a completely different experience. We opted for the prix fixe menu and selected a seafood appetizer and yogurt dip. We were then informed that the seafood appetizer was unavailable, and our server offered hummus as a substitute. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hummus dishes we've tasted. It had an unpleasant burnt, bitter flavor, with what appeared to be caramelized butter practically floating on top. We sent it back, and our server offered to replace it with a salad. That salad never arrived. The main courses took an exceptionally long time to arrive. At that point, we were just sitting there waiting for food, having had only one appetizer between the two of us. The chicken was decent, but the vegetable entrée was well below average. When it came to dessert, our server asked if we'd like it prepared, mentioning it would take about 10 minutes. We said yes, but it took over 20 minutes to arrive. To be fair, the dessert--semolina with ice cream--was delicious and one of the few highlights of the evening. Service was equally disappointing. At one point, our server accidentally spilled water while refilling a glass and assured us he'd have it cleaned up right away. That never happened. There was a consistent pattern of promising to take care of things and simply not following through. To top it all off, when the check arrived, we noticed an additional $4 charge for the hummus--the very dish that had been offered as a replacement for an unavailable appetizer and that we had sent back because it tasted terrible. What bothered us most wasn't just the food or the delays, but the overall lack of attentiveness and accountability. The service felt indifferent, almost as though our experience didn't matter. It's disappointing to see such a dramatic difference between two visits to the same restaurant. We know Meyhouse is capable of delivering an excellent dining experience because we've experienced it firsthand. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of that standard. First visit: 5/5. Second visit: 2/5. I genuinely hope this was an off day, but it has certainly made us hesitant to return.

We ordered lahmacun, Divan kebab, and other kebabs, and every dish was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The service was also wonderful everyone was very polite, welcoming, and attentive. **Rating take out only**…read more Ordered take out for Father's Day. I got the Sultana Combo, lentil soup, and a chicken wrap. The Sultana Combo looks like not a lot of food, but is actually a lot of food! 3 adults ate this, had their fill, but still had some leftovers for the next day. My favorite part was the rice, other people's favorite parts were the veggies or the soup (we don't usually eat a lot of protein, but the protein was also good!). It's not an elevated, elegant dish, especially not to-go-ed, but it's hearty, homey, and filling. There wasn't a part we didn't like or didn't think was worth the money. They have ample indoor and some outdoor patio seating; on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, seems lime many people opted for the outdoor seating. While waiting for my pick up order, there was one party in front of me that waited for (apparently) an excessive amount of time because the kitchen was backed up. The workers were extremely kind, and even gave them baklava as an apology! Small things like that show that the store cares more for the community than just getting orders out. My only gripe is that I felt like everything was extremely salty--the three of us were chugging water all night after our meal. I think the salt levels work well if there was plain rice or plain veggies, but when everything is salted so each part of the dish can be eaten alone, you end up feeling parched and bloated at the same time... not a good feeling. Regardless, recommend!!

I would highly recommend the hummus flight; you get to sample all four of their hummus types. To my understanding, these hummus types change from time to time. When we went, we had the classic, pesto hummus, chipotle hummus, and the dried olive & feta crumble. The chipotle had a stronger kick than I was expecting from hummus, the pesto was a little too oily for my taste, and I didn't see any dried olives in the last one. But overall, it was the most creative and creamy hummus I've ever had. The Manti and Baba Ghanoush were good too; the dumplings being perfectly cooked and the baba ghanoush (which I thought would be something else) turned out to be one of my favorites! For all these dipping sauces, we only got two slices of pita bread, which was not nearly enough. Make sure you take heavy dips or else you'll be eating straight sauce. I don't know, maybe that's your thing. Service was attentive, plating was suberb, and the decor was upscale. I'm just happy to report that the food quality is on par with the ambiance.

I was given a clear confirmation, yet I received something completely different from what I ordered. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened. It is extremely frustrating when a customer asks a very specific question, receives a clear answer, and then the exact opposite happens. I do not recommend this place. Very disappointed. It feels like they will say whatever it takes to take your order, without actually honoring what was promised.
