He got me set up with a temporary fix so I could make it till Monday morning when he could get the parts to replace the pump and controller. He showed up on Monday morning and replaced the pump during a rain storm. I do have to admit the cost was more than I was quoted by some other companies for a replacement system but it was with the same (Taiwanese ) pump that only lasted 4.5 years. The replacement (keen) pumps was made in the USA and has a good reputation for quality pumps. Also, this system has replaceable components in the control box so I felt it was a higher quality system and paid the extra cost in the hope that it will last longer than the original.

He said I could "get by" for now with a new drain pan and resealing the ductwork for $2647. I called the outfit that replaced everything 10 years ago who said NO WAY the AC unit needs to be replaced. I called EZ Plumbing based on their already positive reviews and I'm glad I did. Everyone from the office dispatcher to our plumber Todd was amazingly kind and helpful. They had a booked schedule already but still managed to squeeze us in due to the emergency nature of the job. Todd finished installing our brand new water heater before dinner time, tested it, made sure we were satisfied, all before departing. He was also very clean and sure that no mess was left behind from the installation. As far as pricing goes they are fair.
