January 11th, 2021…read more Ms. Carla Hodge is an amazing Angel! Truly one of God's beautiful creations. The entire Cummings & Davis Funeral Home should be grateful to have her represent their establishment so well. She is the true definition of patience, strength, and leadership. Carla, thank you for your professional support during this difficult time in my life and for helping me make these arrangements virtually. You walked me through this process as I cried rivers of tears and at times breathed like a fire dragon. You held me together with your organizational skills and your listening ear. You are a remarkable woman with extraordinary customer service skills. Thank you for being who you are and for all that you have done and continue to do. May God bless you and your friendly staff in this new year and the years to come. Dear Families, My sincere condolences for your loss. I pray you are handled with compassion and patience from this lovely Cummings & Davis Funeral Home staff as I was in my time of need. Losing my mother (who had pre-existing conditions) to Covid-19 was devastating to my family and I. I had to make the arrangements on my own because everyone was too hurt from losing her. Carla was amazing...and her staff was great. She helped me handle the arrangements virtually! Everything exceeding my expectations! My mother was laid beautifully to rest January 2nd, 2021. I am so thankful for Cummings & Davis Funeral Home. They exceeded my expectations and I'm confident they will do the same for you. God bless you all. -Sincerely, Mahasha- January 11th, 2021 E: reesemahasha@gmail.com P: 440-915-5239

Beware if they do not know you; if you are not a "homie."…read more Confusion due to unprofessional favoritism towards the survivor (homie) who referred the caretaker survivor (with ability to pay) to Gaines in the first place. Gaines refused to allow the paying caretaker survivor, who was also legally appointed by decedent, to fully honor the memory of the decedent. Senior extended family members who knew the decedent have expressed sadness and disappointment that Gaines would engage in "shady" practices. Only one person was satisfied; that one who colluded with Gaines, creating a contract that omitted the paying survivor, and then walked away with the overpayment in his pocket. He who signs the agreement should be the one who pays! Bottom line: any value was destroyed by Gaines blatant participation in messy behavior and refusing to consider the desires of the payer who is an equal survivor and the only person legally authorized by decedent to disburse funds on behalf of the decedent. God sees and God knows.
