I was quoted 2 days work, it ended up being about 9 hrs total, but was still charged for 2 full days. He left my sprinkler system totally out of whack for time set! I was ready to hire this company this morning when I was expecting one of the owners to show up to…read moredo the quote at 9:30 am. He was supposed to come yesterday but cancelled the appointment because his son was in the hospital with a broken leg, and that is understandable , although I would have thought there would have been another person who could do a quote. I sent text messages this morning to find out if he's still coming because 9:30 had come and gone, finally at 9:51 a.m. I received a message that he won't be coming at all - in other words, no roof by this company. Simply because I like punctuality? That seems rather punitive to me, to say the very least , and I am outraged!

We had Bohmer do our Master Ensuite in 2017 and can say nothing but exceptional work done in a…read moretimely fashion, while we moved upstairs during renovations. We chose the decor and Jake and Sherri managed the deconstruction, supply and install. This included painting of both the master ensuite and our bedroom + installation of new fans, walk-in shower, walk-in closet, heated tile floors, vanity and barn doors. Jake came up with an innovative idea to resolve a complex fan installation in a peaked vaulted ceiling. The barn doors took a bit of infill construction to replace the old French doors and upper window separating the master onsite. We were also very satisfied with the expertise of their electrical, plumbing, dry-walling and painting subcontractors. After 2.5 years we are more than happy with the results and budget was kept in check on an on-going basis. We purchased a commercial space in a new building in 2018 which required considerable work to finish. Bohmer was our first choice to complete this task which included the addition of 3 separate rooms, painting and the hanging of barn doors. Time was of the essence as our tenants were preparing to move in ASAP. An estimate was completed and adjustments were several as per changing tenant requirements. Bohmer came in on time, our tenants were and still are amazed with the space. Bohmer remains our first choice in the Comox Valley for renovation. Thank you Jake and Sherri.

We made a mistake of hiring these contractors to do our renovation...the quality of finishes is…read moreatrocious, tiling was done very poorly... really a waste of good tiles. The flooring was done poorly as well, no sub-floor was placed and no leveling of the existing floor was done. The new flooring was cut so unevenly that the crooked edges could not be hidden by the baseboards. Oh,and the job was not finished after all, since accepting the fact that their work was shoddy was apparently below them. We had to hire a new contractor to redo much of their work (i.e. installing an entrance door properly instead of hanging it on the siding, and cutting the closet doors since the closet they made was not square or standard size), and to complete our renovation. No skill, no pride. Do not make the same mistake...just don't.
