Firstly, I had an issue with the app. I booked the taxi but I couldn't see the tracking of the taxi to arrive, which was a little frustrating. When the taxi arrived it was because there was something wrong with his system, and he phoned into HQ on loudspeaker while I was in the car and then I needed to give him directions some of the way. I also didn't love his driving style as it made me a little nervous. They're clearly trying to offer a premium service vs Eastwood Mearns taxis, with water in the car and free wifi. The price was very cheap as well, £5.50 compared to £7 for a taxi from Newton Mearns to Clarkston. Maybe I just had a less-than-perfect experience but I think I will probably stick with Eastwood Mearns as I've always been pleased with their service.

Love the app, so useful and easy to use. Being able to see when your booking has been accepted by…read morea taxi (and then see where the taxi is and track it) is very helpful as you aren't stood by the window waiting with no idea when it will show up! I find it really depends on what time of day you book a taxi whether the job is accepted within minutes or if you have a longer wait. They are pretty reliable and prices are reasonable. Taxis themselves obviously vary and I once had a HORRENDOUSLY smelly one - it made me feel quite sick and I had trouble breathing! I'm not sure the guy had ever cleaned himself never mind the taxi! I almost asked to get out earlier but was in a hurry to get home and pack before a flight! Not nice.

Got the confirmation saying my driver was on their way, 25 minutes later still no driver so I phoned Hampden Cars to find out what was going on. The man on the phone told me the driver had been cancelled as he didn't want to take the dog (why pick up the job in the first place then?) I was then told it would be at least an hour wait for another cab. I told the man on the phone to just cancel the job and I would try with a different company, he misheard me and thought I said I'd get a decent company, when I tried to rectify the mistake he was rude to me and hung up on me. So overall zero professionalism and zero communication. Putting 2 stars as I have had a good journey with them before but tonight has been ridiculous.

The taxi arrived 50 minutes late so I missed the event. When I complained, I was advised that when you make an advance booking, central taxis guarantee a taxi but not what time it will arrive!!
