I entered John's practice with debilitating back pain and walked out 90 minutes later without any pain at all. This may sound like an "Infomercial" yet it is my actual experience! At my doctor's suggestion, I looked for a massage therapist who specializes in deep tissue & myofascial massage to give me some relief from continuous pain in my shoulder, arm and hand & found John Prior! He listened, asked questions, explained the therapies he knew would relieve my pain. He was right -- I walked out completely pain free!! I have had very bad lower leg problem that had become worse over the last 20 years. Ive had cortisone injections with little effect. Desperate with little hope I tried John. John has been wonderful. I had a frozen shoulder in one shoulder, and then, about six months later, in the other shoulder as well. My mobility was so limited I couldn't even put on a jacket without assistance and the pain so constant that I would have to sleep in an upright position. John is great ! He really knows his craft and I'm very grateful for the help he provided. He's great at educating you along the way as well. I had a handful of pain-points when I was super early in pregnancy and he was able to partner with me on some exercises and movements. What I love about his practice is that he truly wants to help. As we went through some of the movements, he shared with me why we we're doing what we were doing. It's a 2 way street, especially since the patient is the one who can do the internal feeling. As someone who's practiced yoga and knows the value of knowing/learning one's body, no bodies are the same. The educational and talking through the movements allows for longer term sustainability. I plan to return at some point in the future, but between my last appointment and now, I still implement some of my learnings - for example, having awareness of how my legs are on a chair and if the circulation may be getting cut off depending on the positioning (I have short legs so it may get cut off when they're hanging or not in a comfortable position). read more

I have been suffering from a shoulder injury for almost a year and had very limited movement and a sharp pain in my right shoulder that extended to my arms, back and chest. Tried physical therapy, chiropractic care and finally saw an orthopedic specialist who told me my only option left is a cortisone injection. Not wanting to risk the side effects of the injection. I was glad to have stumbled upon John. The logic behind how "fascia" works made a lot of sense since my once isolated shoulder injury now encompassed the right side of my body. After an explanation of the treatment and me showing John the areas of my body I felt pain, we proceeded. John uses his foot to place pressure and "torque" where needed on my body. First he started with the area between my chest and shoulder. Slowly adding pressure until I give the go ahead to start the movement he described to stretch the needed areas. We did 4 different positions and each time, he somehow was able to pinpoint the exact area I could only wish my other therapist could find and he would apply more and more pressure. Eyes would roll back in pain and pleasure haha. It's been 3 days now since my treatment. I played golf today with my full swing. Something I haven't been able to do since last summer. I'm so amazed that this treatment I knew nothing about worked so well. I immediately told my wife and mother in law about the treatment and made sure they booked an appointment immediately for their own issues. They also came home very happy. John is awesome and you have to try the Rossiter Method. I wish I had met him years ago. I have tried Swedish, Rolfing, and ART, this kicks their ass! I've had problems in my mid-back for 20 years and never thought it would go away, after a few sessions with Jonathan it's gone. The method is a real deep tissue method where he literally stands on you to get the deepest massage. Then you move a body part so that you can move his pressure right on the key area.
