I just got off the phone with Justin. I have to say of all the MANY attorneys I have spoken to about my case after the statute of limitations ran out, nobody has been this helpful. Other attorneys would just reject me, say "too bad" and offer no advice simply because I did not retain them. I realized this case was getting more stressful and impossible to win without an attorney. One mediator told me to hold on to the lawsuit as leverage to get this insurance company to pay but it seemed impossible and costly. One attorney told me to file even after the SOL was up and then refused to help me further. Other attorney's YELLED at me or were downright mean and abusive saying I was stupid for not filing earlier (not like I knew my injury was THIS serious). Another attorney said to keep the lawsuit and "see what happens" (but where to go? what to do? how to proceed?) and another told me to get the defendant (the insurance company) to pay for the expenses, which they REFUSE to answer me. This insurance company played dirty with me. Its a long story but I got a hold of Justin here and he was the only one who was kind enough to listen to my story, empathize with me and basically said (like the others) I am SOL, BUT he did tell me to go ahead and dismiss the case and walked me through the form I got from the court. He was patient, easy to talk to and was real with me and treated me like a human being. He was respectful and did not make me feel like crap because I didnt go to law school (sooo many attorneys out there made me feel like I was an idiot because I didn't study law or know anything about it - hence why I seek these experts out). I was left stressed, hopeless, helpless and alone. I cannot fight this alone especially after the SOL and Justin agreed. I've known Justin for a while now. I met him in the restaurant where I used work as a server. He and his fellow lawyers (Will and Nathan) were regulars there and I always had a good impression on them. Being a server you often encounter arrogant big shots treat you like crap but these guys never ever gave me an attitude even when they don't get served promptly. They never demand VIP treatment just because they are "special". That was already a good sign for me; good, polite, courteous, friendly and down to earth people who never brag about their status on little people. Few years later, I was rear-ended. Even though I wasn't working there anymore, Justin still remembered me when I went to see him. The person who rear-ended me didn't carry her driver's license and she was careless about me whatsoever. She just wanted to leave the scene and as soon as I called the police, she flew off. Even though I was able to get her name and insurance info, I wasn't even sure if she was honest about it. Justin never sugar coated about what he could do in this case, but I knew deep in my heart, I could trust him. And I was right! He managed to find her and got me compensated for the damages she left. Few months after the settlement, my fiancé and I were pulled over for the broken tail light. My fiance got a ticket for expired driver's license, so Police checked on my license as well. Then he accused me of not telling him the truth about my suspended license. I was confused because I never violated law and didn't remember been suspended at all! However, he took my driver's license and towed our car and told me to go to DMV to fix it! I was so upset and called Justin immediately but since he was not available, Will answered instead. Even though he was not my lawyer, he was nice enough to take his time to instruct me what to do during my panic mode. I am very thankful for his help because that's what you need when you are been accused of something you didn't do. And as for my fiancé's situation, Justin took care of it in no time. Then, my fiancé got hit by a car when he was biking and taken to an ER. I rushed into the hospital but since I never experienced anything like this before, I was upset, scared and in panic. What is going to happen? Is he OK? Millions of questions crossed my mind. I texted Justin from the hospital while waiting for the test results, and in a matter of second he replied to me. I just went on and on with my questions and worries. This is by the way after his business hours. He answered all my questions and even told me not to worry about it since we can sue later but his recovery has to come first. In couple of hours he was released from the hospital and Justin even contacted him if he was doing OK. What a nice guy! I know he is busy with million other cases he has to deal with but he actually spares his time to show how much he cares about us. We are so grateful that Justin got our back. This happened just recently so we will see how things go but at least we are in good hands with Justin. That's a great peace of mind. Not only Justin and Will but I also have consulted with Nathan when I needed to apply for my US citizenship. He told me I didn't have to have him or any lawyer to fill out the paper work as long as I could follow the instructions. Wow, don't normally lawyers prey on innocent possible clients for easy money? Not him. He was just honest and even gave me tips with no charge! As you can see, my fiancé and I are "regulars" now. It's almost like family. Every time we go to their office, the new addition Colleen greets us with smile. She is such a lovely lady and is the one who helps us out behind the scene. Overall, I would give them 10 stars if only Yelp allows me to. I am confident to say that all of them are honest, trustworthy and caring lawyers. No candy coating, no promising, they will tell you what they can do straight to the point but once you sign the retainer, they will work hard for you to defend.
